Fantastic local pizza BETTER than Emilio’s and all other Commack locations! It’s nice to see old world technique and restraint and the food compliments the fantastic and accommodating staff. Haven’t been disappointed yet, keep up the good work!

Giovanni’s has great pizza! The staff are always super friendly and really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable when you enter their restaurant. The pizza and sauce taste great, and is always fresh. I would highly recommend this pizza and pasta restaurant!

I have to bump up my rating from my last review. Several recent visits have been very good. Chicken parm dinners are a nice portion, chicken very good with plenty of sauce. Salads with the dinner also good as in my last review. My wife and kids say its now their favorite place for chicken parm hence the bump in rating.
Meatballs hero was good though the bread over toasted a bit. Pizza again good, but not crazy about the thickness of the crust. I’ll return for the dinners but probably will pass on the pizza. As always, very nice staff.

Excellent pizza, dinners, Heros and staff!!! You will not find better than this. Not only are the portions big and Heros stuffed to the brim, the prices are very reasonable… especially compared to the other local pizzerias that don’t offer anything different except for being in commAck longer… I highly recommend this place not only for food and price, but also in supporting a family run business where you meet Giovannis entire family when you order. I like supporting local family run business and I like seeing who my money goes to. Try it once and you“ll be hooked. Fyi this is a small mostly takeout pizzeria… a couple of tables but not many. If your looking for fancy. there are plenty of places that will charge you 50% more for the same dishes…

Always delicious and a wonderful experience! Linguine and red clam sauce is my favorite and the meatball parm hero is my husband’s favorite. Wish they were open 7 days a week!

Takeout from Giovanni’s has now become a weekly tradition! Not only is the food awesome, but it’s family owned and they are just SO nice. We have a lot of food allergies in my house, and they are always so good about substituting or taking things out of dishes. It’s something we look forward to at the end of the week! Plus, I love that when they say 20 minutes — they truly mean 20 minutes! It’s a must try!!!

So glad I finally found a pizzeria in this area that not only has amazing food but the owners are great as well. Come to this neighborhood often due to family that live nearby and I always make sure to make a pit stop here! Make sure you try the cheesy knots they are delish!

What a fantastic pizza!!! The cheese stuffed garlic knots aren’t too bad either I haven’t had any entrées yet but if they are anything like their pizza, they should be delicious. Giovanni is a super friendly person and a great cook. Great place!!! Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Service is king along with a good slice. Unlike other cocky Commack pizza establishments, Giovanni’s is warm and welcoming and the food is just great. Ideal location. And good pricing. Give it a shot people.

I love this place! The pizza has a thin crust, excellent sauce, and lots of cheese. It’s like the pizza I grew up eating in Brooklyn. My husband loves the chicken Marsala slice. We ate in one day. The baked ziti with meat sauce was delicious as was the focaccia served on the side. The owner and his family who work there are friendly and attentive and service is great. This is now my go to pizza place.

Update… As my last review said, I was looking forward to trying the main dishes since the pizza was so good.
Last Friday, we ordered the chicken francaise and chicken caprese. Both were fantastic and the best part of it? They give you pasta AND salad as a sides for takeout? Oh and did I mention bread? Plenty of it.
I have to say it’s great to find a local place that doesn’t take any short cuts to provide quality food. Telling all my friends about this gem.
The employees are all very friendly and thoughtful…
Keep it up!
Btw…try the spinach garlic knots. I added them to the order while I was picking up dinner. You won’t be disappointed.

Excellent! Fresh! Nondescript little pizza place in a little shopping center in Commack, shared with The Shade Shop, a dry cleaners and a deli.
Small inside, about 3 tables.
The breaded artichoke pizza, excellent! Little spinach knots excellent! We asked for eggplant pizza,…he said I can make it right now… excellent! Grandma’s pizza, excellent!
It was the first time we tried this place. We will definitely go back.
Not greasy, heavy. The crust just right, no holes, and not to thin or thick.
We were going to try the rice balls, but they were covered in plastic wrap, so we weren’t sure how old they were, when they were made. So, one star off for that.
Plenty of parking. On Rt. 454 between Northern State and Sunken Meadow Pkwy.

Great tasting pizza as well as amazing cheesy garlic knots. The owner is just absolutely friendly one of the nicest you can ever meet. Place is kept clean and atmosphere is very welcoming. Pizza was great with great tasting sauce and not to crunchy not to soft dough. I would love to make another visit and have a slice of that awesome tasting pizza.

What a great place with great owners. They have the best regular slice of pizza around. If your looking for something different the cheesy garlic knots are great. That’s right it’s a garlic knot that’s stuffed with mozzarella cheese. Amazing food with amazing owners who make your feel like family. I can’t wait to go back.

I went the first day of it being opened the owner introduced himself and was very nice n said «whenever you want something that you don’t see on the menu don’t worryboutit I make it fresh for you no problem», well he wasn’t kidding because today it was busy I mean very busy and since its lent season we don’t eat meat on Friday’s so I was in the mood for Shrimp Francese and it wasn’t on the menu so the lady behind the counter asked him and he said sure no problem so I ordered 2 one for me n one for wifey, and we both loved it, it was amazing nice jumbo shrimp… great job welcome to the neighborhood and thanku!!!
