I was not expecting the price to be over $ 10, but they have extended the menu. With that being said, it is a buffet. I sat here for 10 minutes before I even knew who my waitress was and to get more of my drink. Also no one offered to bring me a high chair, even tho I was carrying my 16 month old around, I still had to get it myself. Not impressed at all.

As soon as we walked in, we noticed the sticky carpet. It wasn’t like just one section was sticky, the carpet all around the restaurant was sticky. My cousin ordered a Sprite, immediately after tasting the drink, my cousin asked for another because the first one tasted like carbonated water instead of Sprite. After about 20 minutes and several reminders, she finally received another Sprite. The food here was extremely mediocre. The presentation of the desserts waz extremely sloppy, there was peach cobbler drizzling down the sides of the bowls. The rolls that they put on the table looked reheated and tasted like Elementary school cafeteria rolls. The loaded potato soup formed a skin on the top. To add onto all of this, it took the waitresses forever to clear our table. When we finally asked for our table to be cleared, we were countered with attitude. One of our waitresses was very mean and nasty, while the other was very hospitable and polite. Quite honestly, the hospitable waitress is the reason I gave this place the two stars that I did, if it weren’t for her, I’d give this place NO stars. Will NOT be returning to this restaurant again.

Liked the way the food was done here until I got sick from it about 3 weeks ago. Doctor said it was food poisoning. This was a late lunch, arriving at 3:30 pm. The symptoms came on slowly. I think it was something in the little pot roast pans they have sitting under the heat lamp. I suspect either the brown gravy they put in it or the very pink part of a pot roast piece in it. It brought on food poisoning symptoms that lasted 6 days. Won’t eat here again.

When we were first married we visited Ryan’s every week. It was a different store and was over 30 years ago. We haven’t visited a Ryan’s for several years and thought this was a good bet. For the two of us the meal was close to $ 30.00. The food looked beautiful and the staff seemed willing to please. Those were the good points. I got a baked potato from the bar. It was cold and dry. I got some coleslaw too which tasted strange. I also picked up some seafood salad. Is was okay, but nothing more. The manager came by and asked how the food was. I shared the experience and she said she would check on it. She never returned. We were in the store for at least another 15 minutes. Two ways to strengthen ten bottom line in the food business are higher menu prices and lower food quality. She mastered both. I doubt we’ll try any Ryan’s again. The company has changed in character for this to be acceptable.

Ate there today for lunch, currently writhing on my bed suffering from gastrointestinal distress. It’s the only place I had food from today. My stomach is in such pain.

This has to be the nastiest restaurant I have ever visited. It reminds me of a back woods truck stop. It’s so dirty and gross.

It’s my second worst visit here, I didn’t just not get a good waiter, but my fried chicken wing had feathers on it! I complained and got offered a deal, but knowing that I was truly unsatisfied i rather stick with not coming to this Ryan’s again. I regret giving this restaurant a second chance since my first was awful enough to not come here. I DO not recommend this place unless you like feathers on the chicken, undercooked food and not even get a waiter.

Went here about 2 weeks ago. The honey cornbread is soooo delicious. The waitress gave us great service. Fried chicken delicious. Bread pudding excellent. Baked chicken surprisingly good. Pizza good. Every thing else sucks. Ohh chicken pot pie so good. Only 3 pieces of chicken inside but still good. Overall good spot

The food is good, hot and fresh. This Ryan’s seriously needs remodeling. I know this restaurant could be great with just a little TLC. Manager is enthusiastic and we enjoyed the the Tuesday evening music ho down.

Not bad. The chomped steak and baked potato was good. Enjoyed the chocolate cake pudding desert. And they kept the bar freshly stalked as well.

We’ve been eating at Ryan’s in Commerce off and on for about 10 years. It is very hit or miss. Sometimes the mac & cheese is good, sometimes it’s not edible. Same with most of the options. For the price you pay– I think it’s around &12 plus around $ 2.50 for a drink, it is not worth it. Also, we recently had our 2 year old buckled into a booster seat in the chair when the buckle broke and she went tumbling out onto the floor. I am not the litigious type, and don’t expect any monetary gain from this, but a simple«I’m very sorry this happened, I’ll see that this is fixed right away.» would have been adequate. The server went to tell the manager and we didn’t even hear back. If that wasn’t bad enough, the last time we went, we tried to put our daughter in a booster seat and it was THESAMESEAT and it had not been fixed. You’re asking for a law suit, Ryan’s!

Apparently the past reviews made a difference. New menu, fresh, expanded. A perfectly prepared roast beef, for beginners, was added. We typically stop on the way to Atlanta and know the fare had gone down and had passed by of late. We have had to contend with feeding two vegetarian grand children so we decided to try again. We are so glad we did.

We had dinner at Ryan’s yesterday, specifically because we wanted fried catfish and steak. The catfish was fine, as were most of the other options on the hot bar. However, the steak was awful. The only steak pieces offered were past well done and dry as shoe leather. For a place that used to sell steaks, this is simply inexcusable. Also inexcusable were the women’s restrooms. While they are clearly in need of some remodeling and repairs, they were also BADLY in need of a deep cleaning. Makes you wonder what it looks like in areas not open to the public – like the kitchen and food prep areas! The carpet also needs cleaning and/or replacing. We spent $ 27 plus tip for the two of us. The only positive thing I can say are that our server was attentive. I really wish we had gone somewhere else for dinner. We probably won’t be going back.

So after a whole day of shopping at Tanger Outlets, me and my friend decided to take a quick lunch break to regain our energy to continue our escapade. We decided to go to Ryan’s right across the street for a quick bite. The lunch price was $ 5.29, and that should of been our first warning! I don’t ever expect much at buffets, but I literally did not want to look at some of the options in fear of getting food poisoning just from looking at it and breathing it in. Either the color of the food was really off or there was weird lighting and made the color look different… I was trying to be gullible and choose to believe the latter. They had a decent variety of foods like fried chicken, ribs, spaghetti, tacos, salads, etc. Their dessert selection was questionable… very crusty and old looking. Even the candy in the jar looked like its been melted in the jar for at least 3 months. I’m giving this place 2 stars just to be nice and its a plus that I did not get sick
