First time here. Asked the nice guy at the register what a newbie should get and of course he suggested tacos but also a supreme burrito. Hubby and I shared both. He didn’t like it but I did. And I know why… About 4 years ago we stopped eating Fast Food. This is relevant because he hates the thought of it and honestly, the tacos have a distinctive jack in the box!/taco bell taste. And the burrito tasted like a bean burrito from taco bell… sooooo…I wont touch fast food at all due to the crap that’s in it but I’ll be honest I miss some of the flavors… so it was nice to have the flavor with HOPEFULLY not all the crap the put in fast food… I would definitely go back. He on the other hand was not having it ahahahah

Delicious! First time here. At first the food didn’t look right but once we tried it was the best! The chicken tacos are the bomb! I ordered a plate with a taco, enchilada and tamales for $ 575. Delicious!

I remember growing up on Bill’s Taco in Los Angeles on MLK. When they opened the one on Slauson I was excited. Today while driving down Compton Boulevard I was so excited to see that Bills Taco House is now in Compton. You can’t beat the flavor, it’s nothing like you’ve ever had before!

I love the tacos and wet burritos here. They can stand to give more meat. I’ve been eating Bill’s tacos for years.

I didn’t eat here based on the interior of the restaurant and the limited menu. The fact that their tacos are«ground beef» makes it even worse. Taco bell seemed more authentic than this place. Would not come here again.

Customer service is very sub par haven’t tried the food yet doing a review to receive 3 free tacos. Men Restroom had no toilet paper. Trash running over from the trash can. Taco meat did not look like well cooked. The lobby was clean tables was clean. For my wife she said that was the worst tacos she ever had. We paid for 3 she ate half of one I eat the other two was not going to let my money go to waste.

I grew up living across the street from the original Bill’s taco house. These are a unique approach to tacos. They are not to be compared to your regular ground or chopped meat tacos. Bills developed a taco made from a «freshly cooked» ground beef patty with the extraordinary sauce that seals the deal. When you do order the tacos you must get extra sauce. Now others have put negative reviews about these tacos but they are probably the same folks who like taco bell tacos. If you want an even better experience, get an enchilada! Keep your mind open and your taste buds ready.

Omg, I will never go to this place ever again, tacos are ridiculously oily, diced tomatoes are humongous pieces, ground beef meat burned, didn’t even taste like taco, had to throw away the tacos we paid 3.99 plus tax, burrito is all messy and soggy, didn’t even try another bite.

So up until last night when I visited the Compton location I did not know they had been Est. in 1949. My first experience long ago(no it wasn’t 1949) was at the original Martin Luther King location followed by the Slauson/Hyde Park location on Saturdays while sitting in the hair dresser. Someone would always take a trip to ease the pain of the long day of getting your hair did(black girl problems)! So the only menu item I’ve ever had are the tacos which consist of a small ½ of a ground beef patty that is very slim in thickness, they throw on a little lettuce and tomatoes and some of their special gravy/chili in a greasy fried tortilla. Get plenty napkins and cover yourself good because it’s going to drip! Both locations have been clean and had a friendly staff willing to accommodate your special request if you have one. I don’t any way call this Mexican Food all use the term Hood Tacos that are unique to Los Angeles I’m sure! May sound crazy but their off the chain to me!!!

Flat out… I wont be goin bacc! I jus wanted a handheld burrito, which is what I thought I ordered, but apparently the guy neglected to tell me that it was a damn near flat, wet burrito with chili cheese. And the chili and cheese was some cheap processed BS! Everything tasted generic and it was terrible. My girl got an enchilada with the same BS my burrito had on it. Which she did not like and her stomach is hurting now. As a suggestion to the employees, let people know that what they ordered has some damn processed chili cheese on it(considering there is no description on the menu), cuz I dont want to expect 1 thing, then get home, open my box, and have something completely different.
