Came in for lunch and the place was full of people. Had the lettuce wraps, large portion and delicious. My friend had the beef sliders with fries, it was delicious too. For dessert we shared a mud pie, omg it is big! Yummy too. The manager came by to see if everything was going well. The server was attentive too. We were served in a timely manner and not rushed. Enjoyed our experience.

food was edible… service was what earned the extra star. It was a need on the way home after a long day…

After a god awful experience waiting at Benihana around the corner, we decided to eat dinner at Elephant Bar. Service was great. As soon as we walked in the hostess let us know about the«elephant bar rewards» app. She told us to register and we would get a free appetizer for our meal. Awesome! We ended up getting the Calamari and we devoured it in a matter of seconds. Lol. So delicious. I ordered the Parmesan chicken and shrimp with red sauce but I will be getting Alfredo sauce next time! Yum! My partner ordered the sirloin and it was pretty good, not amazing. But probably because he likes his meat well done(ew) and I like mine medium hahaha! All in all, we came in pretty upset from earlier but left extremely satisfied and full. Free appetizer was dope and our server was very attentive. Definitely plan to come back and bring the family.

I didn’t enjoy this time at all. We had to wait for more than 20 minutes so someone could come and offer water we asked for the Chix and Shrimp Jambalaya that cost $ 16.25 and it was terrible. Ohhh what a disappointment, I should had save my money instead of coming to this place. I’m never coming to this location again, it seems it’s under new management, but they’re all over the place. They need a little more organization. I still had to wait over 15 minutes to pay

I had high hopes. Terrible service & bland food! My food tasted like warm cardboard! I wasn’t the only one disappointed with the taste of the food. I gave it 2 stars because the restaurant is beautiful inside & drinks are great! IF(and that’s a big if) I ever return, it will only be for the drinks.

Drinks are great. Bartender was amazing! But the food took so long! Waited for about an hour and got the food cold.

You know I’m use to dining in upscale restaurants in Walnut Creek. So I guess you can say when I walked in I didn’t have high expectations. Nick was our server and I can gradly tell you you wont get better service anywhere else. Forst time we came in he was attentive, very all around friendly… the second time we came in 2 weeks later not only did he remember my fiancé and I but also remembered where we liked to sit, what we ordered and wanted to drink. Its servers like him that keeps you coming back. In my years of going to all types of restaurants I have never got better service. I dont think I have ever remembered a servers name but he definitely is someone you cant’t forget. Thank you for the amazing service NICK!!!

Every Time we’ve been here there is no one to sit you. It’s empty and the service is slow. The food was so salty and cold. Our appetizer was cold too. Do not recommend.

This place needs to be shut down. Ordered fish and chips with the request for onion rings instead of chips. Horrible. Bad bad bad. The fish was overly breaded with a thick batter that was grease filled on the outside and still wet on the inside. Onion rings were greasy monstrosities that still managed to be bland. Might as well as have just drank a cup of canola. Would have been tastier. Onto service. We arrived and were clearly waiting for others. The hostess didn’t tell us we needed to sign on a waiting list and we didn’t think we had to because the restaurant was only half full. Once we did ask, we were told to wait 20 minutes. As we stared… at 4 empty tables next to us. They also took 30 minutes to tell us they were out of the dessert we ordered. The next dessert he told us that the kitchen would take a while to make(15 minutes after changing the order) and gave us another dessert on the house. Finally, he brought us the dessert… but it was the wrong one. I’m pretty sure he knew but he just snuck away after rapidly dropping it off on the table. Just shut it down already or find a new manager.

I don’t think I have ever tasted any food this bland. This place is beautiful from the outside looking in, but don’t believe the hype. The waitresses are pretty, so are the bartenders. That’s about all they have going for them. They got both of our drink orders wrong and obviously from my first sentence the food was terrible. On a lighter note, this place is very clean. Overall I think it would be a great place to go just to have a couple of drinks but if you are looking for a meal keep driving, you will be disappointed. It is OK to season the food people!

Bravo! Two years ago I would have given you one star but after last night I have to give you five. Let me start with my experience two years ago — the service was bad, the wait was forever, the order was wrong(twice), the food tasted bad. Let’s fast forward to last night — our server was very pleasant, tentative to our drinks, and the manager even stopped by our table to see if everything was ok(mind you he seemed to be a little under the weather but still had a huge smile on his face and even cracked a couple jokes with us). The food was spot on, and the wait between the order and food delivery was excellent. I’m blown away what a difference two years has made. I don’t know if you have changed your staff or just trained them. So 5 stars! Keep up the good work and now we will be back with friends for sure! **Sorry folks this was meant for the Dublin Restaurant not the Concord one!

This place went downhill. It used to be one of my favs but now never again. We came in randomly for lunch on a Thursday with empty tables and chairs to be seated next to the kitchen. We waited forever to get our food! All we ordered was a Philly cheese steak sandwich which was dry and a Monterrey chicken sandwich which was just okay. It took 30 minutes to get this! Our refills took forever as well. The sandwiches weren’t cut, the fries weren’t seasoned. JUSTYUCK. The waiter kept wandering around ignoring us even though we didn’t get our food. When I finally asked him what was up with our food(20 minutes later) he said, I dunno and that he put the order in, Frankly we htink he forgot to and they rushed it at the last minute(which is why the fries weren’t seasoned and the sandwiches were sloppily put together and still whole). The only good thin was the kids food was decent. I mainly ate off my two son’s plates. But I mean how hard is it to mess up a quesadilla and mac n cheese?!? Luckily the manager took our meals off the check because I wanted them to take the food back to the kitchen. This place needs a major makeover in terms of the staff and management.

Overall sub part and rather disappointing. The drinks were probably the best things we had. We came in for dinner in a Friday night and our server was a little slow and didn’t even know the veggies in the steamed veggies. It also took our asking 3 times to just get water. The petite sirloin was ok but not amazing, and we were never asked if we wanted steak sauce or anything. The garlic mashed potatoes were missing garlic, cold, starchy and lumpy. I had the shrimp and noodle soup with salmon. The soup was seasoned ok, but only because I used all the limes in the bowl. The salmon was dry and the shrimp were small but cooked ok. The French soup was pretty good but the veggie side was under seasoned and overcooked. Overall a disappointment.

The reviews don’t give them justice. I think it is better than 3 stars. I have been going here for years and the experience has always been good. The Thai salad is great. We ordered the Grazer appetizer which has — crusted green beans, chicken tenders, artichoke dip which I did not think taste like perfume like a previous Unilocaler had said. It was ok. Chips and sweet potato fries were good. Good family ambience. Not as busy like past times I’ve been here due to newer choices around the area. I would still recommend this place but chose wisely. Not recommended-mac and cheese, the pot roast not so tender. But appetizer Grazer is good. Nice service. Of course due to not too busy.

I don’t want to get into detail about my visit to this Elephant Bar and Grill. Seriously. I can’t. What a nitemare. From waiting to be seated, to servers, to the food… And then paying my bill; I paid with cash and was told to wait for change(?!!) wtf? I stood at the foyer for like 15 – 20 minutes to receive my change. I felt like this waitress was hoping I would quit and leave so she could keep the $ 12, along with the 15% I left on the table(which I shouldn’t even had done at all in the first place). I really hate this place now. See I told you I didn’t want to go into detail. You guys save yourselves the grief and heed the Unilocal reviews on this place. Oh and the manager acts a loser in life who’s resentment in life totally shows in his attitude. Talk about bitter. Never again.

Sat at the bar, so no wait in line. BUT happy hour starts @ 9pm. Servers: Giselle and Trinity(?) ordered Italina Kiss and Classic Mai Tai with Shrimp Tempura and Chicken Potatickers. During happy hour, BF ordered Pub Burger with fries and a beer at a discounted price. We paid a total of $ 47. Food was good. Drinks were good. Only complaint is the wait for the burger, it took forever, an hour. Also, we saw Giselle used a dirty shot glass; we don’t know if that was intentional or not, but that is some health issue. So watch it, always use a straw and if that is N/A, then don’t ask for shots.

It had been several years since I last visited Elephant Bar and now I remember why. It is very overpriced and serves mediocre, unimpressive food. I had the old English fish and chips, and was really disappointed. First of all, it is nothing like classic fish and chips from England. The batter was very bland and under seasoned. It needed some salt or something. Also, the batter was very soft. Not crispy or crunchy at all. Strangely they don’t serve the fish with fries. It comes with chips, as in potato chips. Again nothing like traditional English fish and chips. My friend had the Mongolian Beef. He too was disappointed with his dish. He said that the beef was tough and the sauce wasn’t spicy at all. He had had better Mongolian beef at Panda Express and for less than half the price of Elephant Bar. Maybe there are better dishes on their menu or they were having an off night. Elephant Bar gets a very soft three stars from me.

I came in for a late lunch/early dinner on the Sunday, after 4th of July, around 5PM with my son and we were seated pretty much right away. Our cute young waitress came over to compliment how much she liked my «4th of July» dress and took our drink orders. We asked for a glass of ice water, but I also asked for a «jungle colada» and gestured that I was sharing it with my son so she gives me this funny look on her face. Upon her return, I realized that I never mentioned the word«virgin» when I placed my drink order and jokingly asked her«was that why you were giving me that funny look thinking I was trying to feed alcohol to my son?» OMG! We both looked at each other and just started cracking up like I was some crazy mom. She was so sweet & told me that she would go ask the bartender to make us a «virgin» jungle colada. We shared an order of our favorite artichoke dip, which I didn’t even get a picture since my son attacked it right away. I went with the seared ahi tuna salad, which is considered my healthy choice food and I always enjoy it at EB. My son had the Mongolian beef, which he said was just ok. But then again, he was expecting Chinese flavor, not fusion… Joshua was in the mood for a crème brûlée after he finished his meal so he took a few bites and stopped eating so I asked him if he was done. My son is trained/expected to finish all his food so he gets a little scared when he can’t, because he knows his mom will give him the whole third-world country speech. I decided to take one bite of his crème brûlée and figured out why he couldn’t enjoy it. It was super salty! I brought it to our waitress’s attention and she goes into the kitchen to tell the head chef & a few minutes later he comes over, takes a look at the crème brûlée & says«I’m so sorry, I can tell you that they used salt instead of sugar from the caramelization.» He offered to make us a new one, but by this time Joshua had already gotten salted out so he just took it off our bill. Food was 3-star, but the extra personal touch with the service definitely deserves another star. Our waitress definitely went above and beyond to make our meal as pleasant as possible.

I came here for drinks and dessert with friends. We were seated promptly by the friendly waitresses. We ordered 3 drinks(Jungle Colada, Mai Tai, and beer). The drinks came out in about 5 minutes. I have no complaints on my drink. It was blended with everything really well and tasted more like fruit juice. If you prefer a fruity, less alcoholic flavor, the Jungle Colada or mai tai is for you. We also ordered their Mud Pie. It was a giant slice of chocolate ice cream cake. We had 3 people and it was enough for us to share. The chocolate was not overpowering and surprisingly did not ruin the flavor of our drinks.
