Lazy Dog is a nice restaurant with good food and decent price. I ordered the Baja California burger. It was so delicious with avocado. The beef patty is fresh and juicy. Ahi tuna burger is another excellent choice. It tastes so good. Service is good also. They have a sport bar and a fire place outside. Fire place is so nice and it was fully packed with people. Inside the restaurant, there are a lot of interesting décor on the walls which make the restaurant so friendly and unique. We reserved a table in advance so we don’t need to wait in a long line. Highly recommended.

Service was Great — Food, so-so… I ate inside and the service was great. Checking in when needed but leaving me alone to eat. Had the pulled pork with a side of apple cider cole slaw. The sandwich also had a blue cheese slaw on it that I didn’t much care for. It was a tamed down blue cheese, and that may work for many paletes, but give me the sharp tang. It was missing. Finished with the Sea Salt Caramel Crème Brulee which was excellent.

Sat on the patio this warm evening and Noah was our server. Super friendly and responsive. Let us live her at our own pace without being pushy about getting another table(tipper) sat. Great night at LD

Today was our first visit to the Lazy Dog. We actually chose it because there was only about a 30 minute wait vs the two plus hour waits at other restaurants in the vicinity. It was cute seeing all the pups outside with their owners waiting for the patio seating(we didn’t bring out dogs). We were told 20 – 30 minutes and were seated in about 15 minutes. Even though they were slammed with Father’s Day patrons, the staff was friendly, efficient and made it a positive experience. Not all restaurants handle being slammed well. The portion sizes were good. Definitely makes you debate getting a dessert; we were too full. I always have to be on the lookout for gluten-free options. When I asked for a gluten-free menu, I was happily handed one. In the past, I’ve had eye rolls and the waitstaff acts as if I’m purposely being difficult having to use a special menu. Their gluten-free menu has to be one of the best I’ve seen. Not only are prices listed, so I don’t need to reference the regular menu, there are a lot of options to choose from; not just salad and a few token dishes. This restaurant gets it where others lag. It was refreshing to have such a selection. The cooks know how to cook salmon; it wasn’t over-cooked. The mash potatoes are some of the best around. They don’t need seasoning, they have enough butter and are creamy as can be. This is not the norm for many restaurants. Being a potato lover, this scored very high points. I will say the pickled cucumber salad isn’t all that pickled. It needs a day to soak in a vinegar mixture. Other than that, it was still a refreshing side dish. We will definitely be returning, even if costs us $ 5 in toll to cross the bridge on our way home. This restaurant has the proper management, trained staff and overall good feeling about it. Check it out if you haven’t already!

My friends and friends parents have been raving about this place for quite a while and I finally gave it a try. It was really crowded because of the nba finals but me and my friend managed to score seats in the outdoor area. They have lots of happy hour drink and food options. The wok fried calamari is to die for — it’s listed as a starter/appetizer but comes a big portion with bell peppers and brown rice. It’s a perfect $ 8 item to split with a friend over some drinks. The staff is quick and friendly and made sure we were happy even though the kitchen was a little backed up from all the people. I don’t normally fall for big chain restaurants but this is one that I definitely see myself coming back to again and again, especially for the happy hour options! Oh and I forget to mention the best part, they allow dogs in the outdoor area, what more could we ask for?

I like this place a lot! I have tried almost all the menu and I love pretty much everything. The service is great. Good location and the design of the restaurant is just beautiful. Would recommand this place to anyone.

This place could easily be a 4 – 5 start joint but the service ruins the experience. We used to go sit on the patio– it has a great fireplace for cold days that you can sit around and eat/drink. You can bring your dog and they’ll bring them water bowls. The service is as bad as everyone says. This place gets busy but there is no excuse for waiting and hour to get your order taken and 45 minutes for your drink. I will not be back based solely on this, it’s way too much time for lunch or dinner With that said, the food is really good here. I love the Hawaiian sticky ribs, they are perfect. The umami fries that come with them are tasty too. I also enjoy the seared ahi, it’s cooked really well and my mother in law always gets this. The drinks are a step above an average bar, I liked when they had the apple whiskey flight. Happy hour has great deals on food and booze, you can order a nice appetizer spread and drinks for the table for pretty cheap

Went in for a bite and I never felt so alienated. I sat at the bar and it felt like there was drama between the two bartenders. I ordered a beer and the poke. The bartender who first have me the menu was very sweet and started to help me out by giving me time to make my decision. Then the other one took my order. Gone original one came by and asked me kindly if I made a decision. I told her that I ordered a beer and a poke from the other bartender. The first bartender was kind enough to notice that I did not have my beer and poured it for me. 10 minutes later the first bartender added the second if she put in a poke order. Her response was, «…no one ordered that here.» Eventually, my food came out and just like my experience, a disappointment.

It was a friend’s birthday and we decided to dine at Lazy Dog. It wasn’t very crowded since it was a weekday and we were immediately seated. Our server got us started with the drinks menu wherein I opted for the PEACHBELLINI. It turned out to be average. I’ve had far better ones in the past with fresh peach purée. The one served here tasted like a canned version. We started with the BRICKOVENSPINACH&SUNDRIEDTOMATOCHEESEDIP. The corn tortilla chips were fresh and crisp and the dip made with jack, parmesan & swiss cheeses was simply outstanding. I would’ve loved to have multiple rounds of just the dip. For the mains, I had the KUNGPAOCHICKEN which was quite nice too. The chicken marination was flavorful and was cooked well. The only thing that I didn’t like about the dish were the peanuts. They were very chewy and missed the bite that they’re supposed to have which kind of ruined the dish to a certain extent. I also tried some of the VEGGIELAVASHSANDWICH which was really good. Even though it was filled with veggies and hummus it was not too heavy on the stomach mainly because of the soft lavash unlike other starchy sandwiches. The Cajun Fried served on the side were cold but were quickly replaced with fresh and crisp ones when we bought it to their notice. Service was slightly sloppy by the end of the meal. And there were a few hits and misses in their food. But I might just go back for their Lavash Sandwich soon. :-)

Was in the area and so a friend of mine recommended lazy dog. Came in around 9 and was right on time for their happy hour. They have happy hour from 9pm-closing. They don’t have a lot of food on their happy hour menu, it’s more so for drinks but only about $ 1 off or so. We ordered the ahi poke, nachos, and a few of their white peach sangrias. –Their nachos are huge for $ 6 and has potential but is still lacking. There is way too much beans in their nachos and the chips were already pretty soggy by the time we received our order which is pretty disappointing. –The ahi poke on the other hand was really good! It comes in fours, sits on tortilla chips and seaweed salad. They top it off with some type of sauce which tied everything together. –Sangrias were ok, could have been better. Tasted really watered down and was primarily a cup of ice. Service was a hit or miss. The server was a little weird and inattentive, seemed to come off somewhat rude at times. Honestly, this place is like another version of BJs, Chilis, etc. I didn’t find anything too special. Perks of this place was the outdoor patio area! There’s a good amount of tables, heated lamps, and a fire pit area in the center. We got to bring our dogs into the patio area to dine with us which was pretty cool!

Kinda like a BJ’s and Cheesecake Factory, typical chain restaurant with an extensive menu and average food. I was sold with the free Cajun fries when you check in so my bf and I came here instead of Eureka next door. We probably should have went there where we would have paid the same price for better food. We shared the sangria sampler which was okay but had too much ice and little alcohol. I had a short lived buzz but it’s okay. The Cajun fries were huge and it was paired with their spicy chipotle ranch. I would come back just for these fries. Took over twenty minutes for our entrees to come out. I ordered the ahi tuna burger and my bf got a baja California burger which comes with avocado. I got the wedge salad as a side and I asked the waiter what comes with it and he neglected to mention bacon… and I don’t eat pork. So it would be good if they knew their menu and it really wasn’t worth the extra $ 4. He also forgot to mention that side tator tots(which seemed like five little pieces) were an additional $ 3. I did enjoy my food for the most part but it didn’t seem worth the price. Not the best service either. He hardly checked on us or refilled our water. Seemed a bit more preoccupied with other guests. Not sure when I’ll be back. I would say go to Eureka next door instead.

A recent lunch at Lazy Dog reminded me why I prefer Eureka! when I am headed to the Willows. The patio seating was pleasant enough and certainly less noisy than inside seating, but several things made me take off a star from my previous review. First off all the appetizer plates for our table were dirty. Looked as if they had barely made the first rinse cycle in the dishwasher. My Arnold Palmer was very pale and watery. No taste of either lemonade or tea. I would have been better off with just water. My asparagus soup was attractive with several small pieces of freshly cooked asparagus as a garnish. But the soup itself lacked flavor and was more«thick» than what I would call creamy. With the soup I had half of a chicken salad sandwich. Okay in taste although I think it may have been the reason I soon had an upset stomach. On the plus-side our waitress was friendly and wrote separate checks for everyone in our party of four. I still maintain that the menu is too extensive. While many people may like having lots of choices, I think it is hard for a kitchen to do that many things on a consistent basis. That’s why I don’t mind paying a bit more for a meal at Eureka!

Lazy Dog is one of the few places that allows you to bring your dog(in the outdoor dining area). It has plenty of seating areas and large big screens to watch the games. It’s menu items are eclectic and have a variety of American influenced dishes. I ordered the chicken fettuccine and it wasn’t to my liking. However, I love their tortilla soup. I’ve been craving this soup of theirs the past few days. You also get free Cajun fries when you check in with Unilocal. PROs: Interiors are spacious and have a Southern Americana feel. Portion sizes are large. CONs: It can be hit or miss on the customer service. Our server did not make sure we had utensils while waiting on our orders. Come to find out her service was a little subpar because she was ending her shift and handing us over to another server.

Driving on 680, the Mrs and I had seen this establishment and were very curious. My wife had heard lots of good things about Lazy Dog from co-workers and friends in regards to their drink menu, so she was already stoked. Besides, I think she needed one from the stresses of life. And this was our date night. Getting there isn’t a problem, just have to drive past a few other restaurants and the UFC gym. Parking wasn’t terrible on a Wednesday night either. Upon getting inside, we were greeted by a server who gave us our table and menus. I just wish I’d looked over the menu beforehand, because damn it’s a very diverse one. You got your standard appetizers and some unique ones. We ended up deciding on Fried Brussels Sprouts and Ahi Tuna. However, I was still trying to decide on a burger or steak. After a couple minutes, our waitress arrived. We were already ready to order. She took our drink orders, Sangria Sampler for the Mrs(she needed that) and H2O for me. The waitress might have been trying to be funny when she asked to see if my wife was 21, at least that was the perception. At that moment I decided on the steak and got that. Also, I took the moment to show our waitress my Unilocal check-in to get our Cajun Fries. Our drinks were brought out really fast, and the appetizers came soon after. Have to say that he Brussels Sprouts were damn good, the Ahi was well paired with the chips it was on, and the seaweed. The Cajun Fries, on the other hand, tasted simply as if they were regular fries with seasoning thrown on top, something I could totally do by myself with Flavor God, haha! What do you expect when they are basically free?! Anyway, our entrees came about 5 – 10 minutes later, and were brought out by who looked to be a manager. He brought out our plates and didn’t ask if we needed anything else(condiments, water or anything). My wife’s plate was looking really good, which was not the problem. But first thing I noticed about my steak was that it wasn’t anything memorable. I ordered medium rare and got medium. But… it wasn’t eye opening or heart stopping. But the guy didn’t bring any steak sauce which this steak totally needed. I then thought to myself«Maybe I should’ve gotten the Blue Cheese Burger…» The staff here generally looks aloof and indifferent to most customers. At least that was our perception. Our own waitress assigned to us probably came by a total of 5 times, never asked if I wanted a refill of water or of we needed anything else. WE had to ask for our condiments! After we finished our entrees, we basically sat there talking and waiting for our waitress for what felt like half an hour. She kept walking right by us, didn’t say a word, and continued helping the other folks around us. Even after we looked bored, no one would bother asking if we were ok. I was able to catch a few glimpses of my waitress looking a bit flustered. Whatever she was feeling, I think she should have checked in with us a bit more. When she finally came around(I had to stop her to get her attention to get a to-go box) we asked for the dessert menu. My wife had posted that we were at Lazy Dog, and her friends had told her to try the Butter Cake. So that’s what she wanted. Asking for the dessert menu, the waitress seemed to sound annoyed that we asked for one then told us it’s right next to us. We totally got that sarcastic vibe. Then the Mrs proceeded to order the Butter Cake. Not more than 2 seconds after she walked away, the Mrs realized that were was Crème Brulee on the dessert menu. Knowing that I’m crazy about that stuff, she wanted to grab the waitress and add that to our order. Man I could’ve sworn she was the Flash coz she was nowhere to be seen, and we didn’t want to inconvenience her by adding the order, but we did. Again it looked like we bothered her. The desserts were GREAT!!! They totally made up for the terrible service we were already having, and relished every moment until when we had to pay. But, when that time came to pay for the bill, we saw that the waitress had forgotten that the Cajun Fries were supposed to be free, and we let her know of the mistake. She fixed it, we paid our bill, and made our way out. Can’t really say what the issue was with Lazy Dog that night, but either the staff was too preoccupied watching the Warriors OT win or they just simply weren’t into helping anyone out. There was another lady who looked like she was a manager, but didn’t smile once. RBF if you ask me. I hate to sound so negative but if this is how our first experience with this place was, I honestly can’t see ourselves coming back. Maybe we should have stuck with our first choice… Eureka! (One star for service, extra star for the great food).

I’m not a Unilocaler yet I’m new, I’m making this to let you know not to eat here service is terrible took 45 mins to get a beer, each time they brought our table drinks they came back and told our friend this beer is out and then another… but that’s not why I’m making this review there was a blended pen in the mashed potatoes and there offer is to recook our friends steam well the steak wasn’t bad the potatoes were, so there is more bad things I have to write but I won’t they also instead of comping meal they offer to pay for a few drinks and add on a few we never received … Also the manager needs to learn to reprimand there employees in private and not yell in the kitchen which is open How do I message you Chris because you’ve posted no link how to contact you

Price/portion: appetizer portion is excellent for the price you pay. One time we came here just for appetizer before a wedding reception, so I ordered to calamari. To my surprise, it came like as if it were an entrée. I also like the veggie plate, some taste of middle eastern. Food: so far I have only tried appetizers, so I can at really give a review on their entrée. However, I would say, all appetizer i have tried are good: nachos, chicken, calamari, veggie, broccoli with bacon, meatballs. I love their ginger beer, a must try if you like that flavor. So fresh. Service: it depends on your server and the time of day. If it’s busy, then expect slow service but if you are lucky and gets a excellent waiter, then enjoy and relax and watch your favorite sport. Space: big space. They also have an outdoor sitting with fireplace. Great place to hang out with your friends.

I recently ate here and decided to try something different. I opted out of the calamari, which I highly suggest ordering because it really is delicious. I ordered the sesame crusted ahi tuna and it was just ok. I didn’t care for the sauce at all. The ahi was a little bland. I think it would have tasted much better had it been in some type of soy sesame dressing/sauce. The carbonara is really good, but can use a tad more sauce. My boyfriend likes to order that. It’s a good amount and can even be shared. For dessert, we ALWAYS order the butter cake. It what really makes our visit. The reason for 3 stars is because every single time I come here, our service is not up to par. We always have to hunt our server down for water refills and there have been many times where we’ve caught our servers conversing amongst each other or have been by the host desk chatting. Other than that, I think it’s a great place to eat and has a nice ambiance.

I had been wanting to come to this restaurant for awhile ever since I heard they had good sangria, and a sangria sampler at that! Now let me start from the beginning… Ever since the holidays ended I was going through some post-christmas depression, and decided that I would take myself out on a date one night after work. I arrived at the restaurant probably around 6:45PM on a Monday night, and already trying to find parking was a nightmare! After driving around 5 – 10 minutes I finally saw someone backing out of a spot right out front and luckily pulled in right after they backed out. I walked in and asked the hostess how long it was going to be for a party of one. She told me it would be about 30 – 45 minutes unless I wanted to sit outside on the patio which had a firepit and space heaters which I automatically decided to go with cause I was not about to wait 30 – 45 minutes by myself. They sat me at the last table available outside on the patio which was in the worst possible spot. It was right next to this huge opening so even though I could feel the space heaters, I could still feel the freezing cold air from outside. I planned on playing on my phone for most of my meal, but it was so cold that my fingers were freezing and I couldn’t even type. I saw an open spot right next to the firepit and asked to be relocated to it. It was nice sitting next to the fire and enjoying my sangria flight, but at the same time it was not an ideal place to sit an enjoy my food because everytime I leaned in to take a bite, I had to endure the heat from the fire burning off my face. Now onto the food and drinks… Obviously, I started with the sangria sampler which came with a glass of raspberry moscato, white peach, and red pomegranate. My favorite would definitely have to be the white peach, but the red pomegranate was also pretty good. The raspberry moscato didn’t really taste like much else than a glass of pink water with a orange slice in it. After taking a look at their happy hour menu, I decided to order the ahi poke, cripsy wings, and loaded potato hush puppies. The ahi poke was served on a wonton chip with avocado and wasabi dressing on top of a bed of seaweed salad. The dish was alright, but the wasabi was a little bit overpowering and I would have liked to taste more of the sesame peanut vinagrette. Also, DONOTEATTHESEAWEEDSALAD. It was watery and way too fishy compared to some better ones that I’ve had from Japanese restaurants and markets. The chicken wings were good, but pretty basic. They were served with some buffalo and bbq sauce, but definitely nothing to write home about. The loaded potato hush puppies were also just alright. They could have used a lot more bacon and cheese for the amount of the potato in each hush puppy. Lastly, dessert! I ordered the brownie with white chocolate chips inside that was served on top of some chocolate fudge with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. This was by far the best thing I ate. The brownie was super chocolatey and rich, and went perfectly with the chocolate fudge and ice cream. I tried to finish it all, but after my meal and with it being so rich, I left a tiny little bite on my plate cause I just couldn’t even anymore. Overall I would give lazy dog 3⁄5 stars. For everything it’s hyped up to be, my experience was mediocre at that. I would eat here again, but don’t think I’ll be the one suggesting to eat at Lazy Dog.

3.5-star joint in my opinion, but bumping up to 4 stars based on their service. I met up with my friends Chris and Sarah for dinner last night at Lazy Dog. We got there at around 7:45pm and the place was still pretty busy. We were seated quickly in a booth by one of the hostesses. At first glance, the restaurant appeared clean. The interior was on the darker side with moderate noise level. Several flat screen TVs were playing sporting contests. Our server, Colleen, came by and introduced herself and dropped off a few menus. After a few minutes of perusing the menu, we ordered the following: — Root beer float for Sarah — Margherita and Wild Arugula Foldover Pizza — BBQ Ranch Bacon Cheeseburger — Baja California Burger Sarah’s root beer float came first. Three small scoops of vanilla ice cream were served in a mason jar with a bottled root beer on the side. It looked good. All the food came shortly after. The dishes were presented nicely. My BBQ Ranch Bacon Cheeseburger was okay in my opinion. The burger patty was seasoned well. However, I did not like the chopped up bacon. It was not crispy enough for me. Also, the bun fell apart with a few bites to go because the burger was over sauced. The fries were pedestrian as well. They could have been crispier. Neither Sarah nor Chris finished their food. They seemed to enjoy the food though. What got this restaurant four stars was Colleen our server. She checked on us constantly and was professional and personable. We could tell she was tired but she kept her smile while we were there. We had a short conversation with her and we could tell she’s a nice person. I wish there were more servers like her! The entire meal cost $ 58(with T/T), just about right for a place like this. In my opinion, the food at Lazy Dog is worth 3.5 stars. Personally, I think this is a decent place to hang out with friends. I will probably go back again. BONUSMATERIAL: — Happy hour(M-F from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Sat-Sun starting at 9:00pm).
