I’m updating this review since my recent experiences at Eureka have been way beyond what I expected. My food has been hot and well done every time I come in, and the waiters are always helpful with drink selections. It seems like they’ve worked on some of their entrees too, because the menu options have improved. Overall a much better experience than when they first opened.

Ah, Eureka, one of the few spots in Concord that can actually serve up some mean cocktails. Go here if you wish to eat good too! Their burgers are juicy and VERY flavorful, but the other entrée and menu items are also worth exploring. Beers and whiskey are kind of their thing here when it comes to spirits, so be sure to ask your waiter/waitress for their recommendation if unsure of what to get. They will be more than happy to give you an excellent recommendation!

We were actually thinking of going to another restaurant in the same location but I’m glad we ended up eating here instead. The place was nice and clean with casual setting and noise level was moderate. Food is good as well as service. For appetizers we had: osso buco riblets which were delicious, bruschetta was good, we ordered two kinds of Eureka! wings — one spicy, the other one was sweet and garlicky — they’re both good, but my favorite was the lollipop corn dogs! It came with mostly hot dog and thin coating of batter. Yum! Appetizers: 5 stars For our dinner, my son got the bone marrow burger which he said tasted good. The Fresno fig burger was okay. All day carnitas burrito was served with over easy egg and arugula, the carnitas was tender and good but the flour tortilla was too thick that the ends were hard to eat. We didn’t get to order dessert because the only dessert available last night was apple fritz. Our server was attentive and friendly, too bad I wasn’t able to get his name :( All in all, we enjoyed our meal. We’ll be back.

I’m very pleased with Eureka. What drew me here was the selections of the small batch whiskeys. They had so many to choose from, and I was glad to see they did not serve Jack Daniels, Jim Beam… or any of the«junk food of Whiskeys.» I tried the Eagle Rare 10 and Four Roses, served neat with a coke back. I enjoyed the presentation as well. I also like their glassware and garnishes they have for their cocktails. The service is good, the bartenders could be a little more friendly. The food is great, I tried the lollipop corn dogs… delicious! They have unique menu options to choose from. The atmosphere is okay, I personally like a dimmer setting if I’m drinking, but I did go during the day. Great music selection too, they were playing my favorite, The Civil Wars band. Overall, I think this is my new favorite spot. No complaints.

A great little location hidden inside the shopping center but a great mid day meal if you’re looking for a sit down restaurant to compete with the other well established restaurants in the area. I recommend the bone marrow burger. It was very delicious but also a little dry. Using a sauce to make the burger have more moisture is highly recommended. Many delicious treats to have and is afresh if you have a group willing to get different food than one another so everyone can try a little bit, like a pot luck. 8.5÷10 will go to will coworkers after work, but not to go alone.

We were greeted with a very friendly welcome and shown to our table. Our waitress stated that«At Eureka all food is made from scratch ready to order. We are famous for our whiskies and over 40 beers on tap. On weekends our Bloody Mary and Mimosas are only $ 5.00». We ordered water with lemon. For lunch I went with the Chili Wings and shared an order of the Truffle Cheese Fries. The Chili Wings were heavily sauced with their Reaper Chili Sauce. The texture was a bit fleshy and could stand a little more cooking to crisp up. The sauce is spicy and they only give you a thimble size of blue cheese to dip. Other than that the flavor was good. The fries were just OK and my wife and I both agreed they needed more seasoning as well as more time in the fryer. These issues are easily corrected because items are made ready to order. I just need to speak up. The atmosphere is hip and there is a vibe present in the restaurant. Servers are friendly and attentive to your needs. The price is about right for the area. We felt the fries were a bit overpriced for what we got. It is a good place and we will be back

Spent the happiest of hours at this fairly new California chain. Food: Fairly sized menu with Traditional American offerings ranging from burgers to salads. We dined here during happy hour to catch the Sharks game. My boyfriend and I started off small with the Chicken Nachos. We are glad we didn’t order more as these were quite shareable amongst two people. The nachos were loaded with chipotle shredded chicken, pepper jack cheese, guac, fresh/chopped tomatoes and crispy nachos… great tasting nachos for a great price. Tons of craft beers on top, I mean tons. From sweet and malty beers to hoppy and bitter, have your pick from the beer spectrum that Eureka has to offer. Service: Initially slow, but got better as the crowd died down and our server was super friendly the entire time. The staff was so accommodating moving us to multiple tables while we tried to getting the best seats to watch the Sharks game. Our server informed us about the different beer events that happen at Eureka, really great service. Ambiance: Modern, casual and large restaurant, a great place to eat with the family or catch a game at the bar. Price: Happy hour is the best, really cheap prices for regular sized portions, not your typical smaller happy hour sized dishes. Don’t order a large amount expecting tiny portions. Good quality for the price you pay. Overall: Great ambiance for casual eats, exceptional service and an epic variety of beers on tap without breaking the bank.

I am upping my rating. The service is great every time. They went above and beyond to fix a super small order entry error. It was nice and quiet at 630 but packed by 8 on a Wednesday. But the beers… they really have the best selection for double IPA. They have some of my favorites. Berryessa Brewery double, and High Water Campfire stout! They have a huge range of beers and excellent whiskey. I like the steal the glass. Slowly getting some cool glasses for home drinking. I wonder if they are USA made? The food is good every time. I do love the bone marrow burger on a bed of greens. The buns seem better then last time. I think the menu could be a lot stronger but its good.

The tacos here never disappoint. The burgers here always sound amazing, and then when i order them, they seem to skimp out on the main part of the reason i ordered the burger in the first place. For instance, the fig burger, could hardly taste the fig spread and got a sad amount of goat cheese :(it LITERALLY made me sad! i LOVE goat cheese and fig together and there wasn’t enough to make the flavors pop. The bison burger with bacon infused jalapeño jam… you’d be better off ordered a side of the spreads since they seem to hook it up more when you order the side. Don’t get me wrong, good burgers, i just want more of the bang for my buck! I wised up and started ordered the tacos, and haven’t been disappointed yet. Order the crispy glazed brussels sprouts for an appetizer — you’ll love them if you love the Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce, because i’m pretty positive that’s what’s on them. The beer sampler is always a good option. The beers on tap all seem to be one type of beer which is a bit disappointing, for how many taps they have, you’d figure they would provide a wider variety. For this reason, i opted in for the sampler. Overall a pretty good place, just wish the prices were up to par with the amount of food they give you. Not really into the whole«community table» thing etiher, however, they do have smaller tables, but if you go with a large group, be prepared to share your table!

Came today during happy hour… we got Juan today finally a day he is working and we are off. Same service… attentive…great manners… explains…socialized at the right times. Remembered us as significant we are. Utmost… he never changed his tone from the first time we met him. No favoritism just great service. Offered watermelon and avocado to child. Stated the specials. Made it enticing… bought and got another flight of whisky… fyi. you don’t like beer whisky or burgers don’t come. Juan makes service great. Ask for him.

Eureka! landed in Concord quite some time ago and I finally got a chance to try them out last Wednesday evening with my Unilocal buddy Bob K. and his lovely fiancée Casey. For those who are not familiar with Concord, Eureka! is located in the Willows Shopping Center, directly across from the Hilton Concord. The location is great since there are lots of parking spaces on site and retailers like REI and Old Navy are also there for your shopping pleasure. I was to meet up with Bob and Casey at 7:00pm but got there about 10 minutes early. I went inside to put my name down for a table. The host informed me that it would be about 20 minutes before a table is available. No problem. The host then asked me for my phone number so that they could text me when the table is ready. I thought it was a really cool way to incorporate technology into their business operation. Bob and Casey got there right at 7:00pm. About 10 minutes later, I received a text notifying me that our table is ready. We met up with the host and he led us to our table situated in the back of the restaurant. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and vibe. There was a bar with multiple TVs showing different sporting events. The décor was modern. After we were seated, our server came by and introduced himself to us. He was quite friendly. After checking out the menu, we ordered the following: — Lobster Tacos for Casey($ 17 for two tacos, served with brown rice medley) — Cowboy Burger for Bob($ 12.50, with shoestring onion rings, bacon, cheddar, and beer BBQ sauce. Bob swapped the fries for onion rings for an extra $ 2) — Jalapeño Egg Burger for me($ 12.50, with fried egg, cheddar, bacon, chipotle sauce, and pickled jalapeño. Fries came with the burger) — Unknown beer for Casey(sorry, I don’t drink so I didn’t pay much attention to that) It took a little more than 10 minutes for our food to arrive. It was nicely presented. My jalapeño egg burger was outstanding. The burger was cooked a nice medium and the sesame bun was toasted beautifully. The think cut bacon strips were crispy and had a nice smokey flavor. The cheddar blended nicely with everything. I didn’t care for the jalapeño since it really didn’t add anything to the burger. The fries were a disappointment, both in quality and quantity. If there was one thing they could improve on, it’d be the fries. Bob seemed to enjoy his burger. He mentioned it was nicely cooked. I asked Casey about her lobster tacos. She said they were okay. I sensed that she probably has had better ones before. Service we received was very good. Our server was attentive and checked on us a few times during our meal. I can see why this place is so popular. Personally, it was a great evening catching up with friends over fantastic food. I plan to go back there in the near future to try their other offerings. Highly recommended! P. S. Thank you Bob for dinner!

I’m so happy to see Eureka in nearby Concord! I’ve been to Eureka in Redlands and Claremont I. So Cal many o’ times, and this was like a slice of home just a few miles away. Came here with the newly minted Unilocal Elite Harvey K to catch up and eat good food. Great suggestion, Harv! The Eureka is located in the Willow Springs plaza and close to the UFC gym. The layout is just like the other two Eurekas I’ve been to. They don’t mess around and try to stray from their look. The restaurant is longer than it is wide, with a long bar area with 5 flat screens tvs. On the other side and around the bar, there are many tables which includes outdoor patio seating. On that night I ordered a cowboy style bbq burger. Shoestring onion rings and ordered medium. The burger was NOT served on the oh so passé brioche bun(a deal breaker for me). The meat was cool to perfection, but the burger could’ve used more Bbq sauce. Nevertheless I ate it with fond memories of my former life in So Cal and will return again for great food, service, and nostalgia.

Wow!!! We made it for happy hour before 6pm on a Friday night and we were so hungry we splurged on a lot of the starters for only $ 6! They are pretty big portions for that price too. Recommendations: Crispy Glazed Brussel Sprouts — the description of «herb oil /macadamia nuts» doesn’t do it justice. It is so tasty I can’t even really describe its method of cooking. Judging by the name, I think it was pan seared, but definitely tasted like it was roasted with a sweet glaze that was just perfect with the char flavor. My friend who doesn’t like brussel sprouts tried it and said it was good! Can’t taste the bitterness of the sprouts, just the rest of the flavor, which I can only describe it as somewhat like a sweet balsamic vinegar-y flavor. Truffle Cheese Fries — this can be a hit or miss. I went here before and the fries had no truffle flavor at all. This most recent time it had lots of truffle flavor, maybe the truffle salt got mixed better this time. The fries could be crispier, but I enjoyed the overwhelming truffle flavor with the truffle cheese sauce. Fresno Fig Burger — fig marmalade /melted goat cheese /bacon /tomato /red onion /arugula /spicy porter mustard. Eureka! did a great job at combining these flavors together. I always enjoy a mix of sweet and savory together and I definitely had that with the fig marmalade mixed with the goat cheese(which i normally don’t like) and then contrasted with a bit of bitterness of the arugula. The toasted bun and buttery flavor of it made it all better too. Additionally, the caramelized sweet red onion contrasted the salty bacon. Your taste buds won’t know what to expect with this. Ultimately I like combo’s with flavorful mixes and it did not disappoint at all. Of course, it did not drown out a perfectly charred beef patty. Yum! Oh yeah, that side of cole slaw was delicious! I think it had a lemon vinaigrette on it with macadamia nuts and cilantro. I did NOT know it was an additional $ 2, had I known, I probably wouldn’t have gotten it, but it was still yummy. We had a humongous party and the wait staff got confused where food was going because we had several tables outside and everyone was walking around talking, but they seemed to keep it cool despite the confusion. I commend you all for that and for your patience. Our waitress tried so much to make things easier for us in terms of splitting checks, but we didn’t want to make them work any harder either. Such great service! Watch out, you might spend a lot of money here without realizing it.

I love this place!!! Great location, I just wish it was bigger!!! Items I love: saracha riblets(BOMB!), Shrimp/watermelon/kale salad– so good! Nachoes are great. Fried chicken sandwhiches– great. Tacos– yum! I havent ate anything I didnt like here! Cocktails are just alright– probably want to stick with beer here. They have a great happy hour but it ends way to early– they need to extend it! I will continue to come back!

Okay. I’m very impressed. This location is approachable, beautiful, delicious, & inviting. I came in on a Sunday around 1pm to see a lot of teamwork happening in all areas of the restaurant. The person who greeted me at the front also helped to wipe down tables. I observed Ryan the manager also help with wiping down tables and clearing and greeting tables asking how everything tastes. My waitress Christina is attentive and multitasks like a champ! She never made me feel overlooked despite waiting on a few other tables around mine and people eating outside as well. The food is so well priced. The quality and decadence of everything I ate was superb. I ordered the creole benedict, the cold brew coffee, and the butterscotch rum pudding. I would order everything I ate again only I feel I should try new things on my next visit since it all was delicious. They do everything exactly right here, getting drinks(like the beautiful bloody mary the table next to me ordered) to tables in record speed and they will ask for id! There’s a lot of big screen tv’s to catch the game and big tables for family gatherings. Also, I’m pretty sure the couple seated beside me was reviewing the restaurant — they were taking photos, timing how long it took for food and drinks to get in, etc and sounded like they had about $ 60 to spend. I didn’t even need to give anyone a heads up because the team here is impeccable. Nice work!

My coworkers and I came here as a group of five for lunch. We were seated when more than half of our party arrived. Service was very good, and there were free refills on fountain drinks. Parmesan truffle fries — nice cheese and truffle flavor, topped with scallions and served with an aioli dip Cobb salad — nothing special but a good salad Watermelon feta salad — great depth of flavor with a lemon vinaigrette AND balsamic dressing. My coworker was thrilled with this salad. Hopefully the crowds here die down, because I hear it’s still pretty hopping. They seem to have a great happy hour menu.

This place is known for its burgers, so I had to try it. All my co-workers were telling me how great happy hour was, so I happened to get here before 9pm on a Wednesday night, perfect timing to watch the Warriors game as well. Very classy place to eat at, probably take a date here too. There is a seating area that face the mounted TV’s above the bar to watch any sports games, and you and your date can sit next to each other enjoying finger foods and drinks. Since it was happy hour, I ended up getting this Raspberry beer, it was crisp and sour. I even got to take home the glass, it was only 7 $. Ended up getting a Cowboy Burger, Truffle fries, fish tacos, and some wings. Was pretty good, although the tacos could have had more fish in them, it was mainly all the fluff(mangos/salsa/veggies). Would probably only come here during happy hour as some of the prices are a tad high. The happy hour makes this place worth it.

Second time coming through here a month later and got the same great experience the first time around at the bar with Eric. He definitely remembered me from the last time around when I was just one seat over. Hoppy hour is the time to come through(2 – 6, 9pm-close) and enjoy the beers on tap that are $ 2 off along with the number of bites that are offered and quite shareable. I admittedly recommend them all especially the truffle cheese fries. It can get quite busy in the evening and that was the case when our server took awhile to take the tab with the group of folks at the table I joined later in the evening. Other than that, she was very much attentive to our orders and checking in on us if we wanted additional rounds and refilling the waters. Great atmosphere although as mentioned it can get very busy during the evening hours so be prepared! Enjoy the great rotating taps of beer they have to offer, if that’s not your thing they do have whiskey and bourbon and fill yourself up with a selection of starters, salads, burgers and tacos. I will be back.

More like 3.5 stars. Been to the one in SoCal in Redlands before. Wasn’t memorable then. Ordered the Mac ‘n Cheese. It was not very good. Creamy, but not cheesy. Like thick with cream… With a mayo texture. And not salty at all. No flavor. Hubby ordered Original Burger and I ordered the Blue Cheese. We were both very happy, but we were also starving. The bottom buns were soggy, but still good. Fries were normal. Honey cinnamon sweet potato fries were better than expected. Not too sweet. Overall good meal!
