I’ve eaten at a few Naan n Curry locations. It’s consistently decent Indian food; not excellent, but good. Was pretty bummed that when I ordered for my family today, and explicitly selected«Not Spicy» from the Eat24 ordering system, I ended up with standard medium-spicy on everything. So my 5-year-old and 8-year-old ate nothing but naan and raita. So, thanks for nothing, guys.

I’ve been to India before and ever since, I’ve been exploring great places to experience authentic Indian dining. First off, I placed my order at around 7:30pm on a Friday night… My order was ready literally after closing(9:20pm). I ordered a Gobhi Gosht(Lamb), rice, and an order of garlic naan. The lamb was tender, but the sauce was so bland, I felt like I was just eating a whole bunch of creamy tasteless sauce with tender lamb. Thank God the lamb had some flavor to salvage my experience. The garlic naan was dry, and was frankly cold by the time they gave me my food. Won’t go back again. Poor service. I would rate the food a 2.5÷5 stars. Go to the Himalayan cuisine down the street, it’s way better.

Favorite Dishes: chicken tikka masala, daal, naan(any kind). Wonderful, rich flavor. It looks like the dishes feature fresh herbs and spices which make the curries absolutely excellent. Drink: chai. Standard, but very good. Free if you’re dining in the restaurant. Service: Fine. It’s always packed, so the cashier is very rushed and sometimes there are no seats. We always order our food for pickup with GrubHub to avoid the crowd and the wait(sometimes as long as an hour). Everyone in the local area loves this place, for good reason. Line is out the door around peak mealtimes. Notes: We eat here all the time. It’s so affordable, filling and delicious.

Very bad attitude of front desk guy, food was totally flat no taste, no flavor. Tikka masala was chicken in cream(yellowish white), no salt, no masala, no onion… nothing. and when we told him he said there is salt and pepper on the table just add into… wow what a answer. Never go this place unless you like this kind of food. below standard place and rude. We ordered Paneer masala, chicken tkka masala, chicken curry, garlic chicken(hard and chewy chicken), veg. biriyani, garlic naan… nothing is worth to eat or pay. go somewhere else instead of this place… no star but i do not have any choice… better city of milpitas should inspect and give them red sticker…

I’ve been coming to Naan n Curry for years, they never disappoint. I come all the way from Pittsburg and it’s worth it. The prices are crazy affordable and the quality is amazing. I really love this place!

I like Naan n Curry. It is significantly less expensive the Himalayan Cusine down the street and easier to call in. The reason I am giving it only 4 stars is because Himalayan Cusine has slightly better food. Every time I call in here the phone is answered promptly, even when I can hear it is very busy. I recommend the Chicken Tika Masala here and the Garlic Naan!

FINALLY! I can get delicious Indian food at ridiculously low prices and it’s about 15 minutes away from my house. The Chicken Tikki Masala was a very generous portion I could barely finish it, but I forced myself to since it was amazing lol. So creamy and full of flavor. The nan was huge, soft, and lightly toasted and I loved dipping it into my curry. Overall I’m in love and can’t wait to go back and try more items off the menu. My wallet was happy and so was my belly!

The food is good but the order management is terrible. The guy who works the register is terrible with people management, order management and people’s skills. 51 mins was my wait time for palak paneer and chicken breast tandoori. I understand the busy time frame but what’s very disappointing is the people who came after you leaving with their food while I am waiting for another 30 mins.

This place is probably my favorite in Concord; the food just never lets me down. It gets incredibly busy during the lunch hour(especially on weekends) so it’s a little loud, but honestly, I think it adds to the homey feel of the place with its music and décor. Parking is easy; there’s free street parking and a garage across the street, and the Todos Santos area is nice to walk around in. The only criticism I have is that because of the rush, the service gets EXTREMELY slow sometimes – even takeout easily takes over half an hour during lunchtime, so only come here if you know you have time to spare.(There was one time I came and despite our asking the waiters, it took nearly an hour to get all our food…) Regardless, food is so, so worth the wait. Personal favorites are the chicken tikka masala($ 7) and the plain naan($ 1) because I’m boring, but all the curries and biryani are fantastic and around the $ 6 – 8 range.

Ordered take out We’re told it will take about 30 minutes. 30 minutes later still no food in sight. We finally got our food 1 hour later when they were serving # 85 and we were 74. No apologies, nothing Just a lame excuse as to why our food cooks longer, however we ordered the most common dishes on the menu.

This place is pricey compared to other places in todos santos. The Himalayan restaurant across the street gives better potions and the same level of flavor for cheaper. We have ordered take out here, and a few times they didn’t include one of our curries. Check your take out order before you leave! I think this place is overrated for its central location

I used Unilocal to order our food and it said 10 – 30 minute wait for pickup. I waited to place my order so that it would be ready when I would be at the restaurant. I planned 30 minutes with it being Saturday evening. Well it took another 20 minutes on top of that. Disappointing as I could have easily ordered earlier had I known. Anyway the food… Vegetable Biryani — A little greasy 3* Lamb Shank Curry — Very greasy 2* Vegetable Tikka Masala — Decent 3* Garlic Naan Bread — Good 4* The place is totally jamming so I must be missing something, in my mind Himalayan Indian around the corner is way better and they deliver free so no driving or waiting around for it. 3* for food, deducting 1* for the long wait.

I knew that my Unilocal friends would not steer me wrong! I’ve been thinking about going to this place for some time and had it bookmarked. I work in Concord sometimes and when in the area, I like to check out new places. Naan n Curry is located close by my job, so I decided today was the day to pay them a visit! LOCATION They are on the same block as Peets Coffee. Located between Cream and Bollinger Nails PARKING: FREE Parking is FREE at the City garage right across the street. Otherwise, maybe you can find a parking spot at one of the 1-hour parking spaces around Todos Santos Plaza. Check the parking signs for times. GOODTOKNOW: HELLABUSY! I came in around 2:40 pm for a late lunch and this place is HELLABUSY! CALLAHEADTOPLACEYOURTO-GOORDER! ORORDERONLINE I didn’t know until my visit today that you can also ORDERONLINEAT . TO-GOORDEREXPERIENCE&FOOD Nevertheless, I didn’t have to wait for very long. The restaurant was *packed* and the kitchen was busy, about 4 people manning the stoves. I said that it was my first time here and I got FAST, FRIENDLYSERVICE. I ordered the much-talked-about CHICKENTIKKAMASALA, RICE, ANDNAANBREAD. I didn’t have to wait very long, considering how slammed-ass busy this place was. I got my order in less than ten minutes, which is great to me, considering I walked in at a busy time. I was expecting a longer wait, judging from some of the earlier whiner reviews on here. They busted out my order very quickly! And he told me to have a nice day and gave pleasant service. RESULT: YUM! I will be back! My to-go order was packaged really well and I ate it back at my office. The chicken tikka masala was a FLAVORFULYUMYUM, CREAMYGOODNESS, DELIGHTTOEAT. The piece of naan bread is so huge! Gigantic!(see pic). I don’t need to order rice next time, since the naan bread was more than enough. I ENJOYED dipping my bread in the chicken tikka and I was eating at my desk in my HAPPYPLACE! PRICE: $ 10.70 I got all this deliciousness for $ 10.70, which includes tax. Chicken tikka masala, a HUGE naan bread, and rice to go. If you’re into Indian food, check this place out! They also have vegan and gluten free options.

I was very impressed with this place! First of all, I LOVE Indian food and when some of my girlfriends decided to eat at Naan & Curry I was even more elated. Naan & Curry is perfectly situated in downtown Concord. It’s one of those restaurants where you order at the front, you find a table and have a seat, they cook your food and then they deliver it to your table. They also have FREE Hot Chai(nothing’s better than free)! The plates, spoons/forks, napkins, cups for water/soda are all self serve located in the back. It’s a small restaurant and during peak evening hours it can get filled quickly! We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala(we asked for it spicy), Paleek Paneer(Spinach) & Bhindi(Eggplant), Garlic Naan, Onion Naan & Cheese Naan. All were perfectly blended with their spices and delicious. The taste was very authentic and I loved the creaminess of everything! I would definitely be coming back!

Really tasty, cheap and authentic. This place really couldn’t get any better than this. We ordered the Channa Masala and the Veggie Tikka Masala and they were both fantastic. We dont like too much rice so we ordered Naan instead. I have to say that it was one of the best ive ever had. The wait was a bit long but the food made up for it. The Chai was also fantastic and unsweetened.

Excellent food, great price very friendly service. Why not a five star then? Two things, it’s pretty small and fills up quick(yeah for them!) and the plates/utensils/glasses are self serve which kind of grosses me out since I saw one person touch the serving side of a couple spoons as she took her’s. Picky, I know, but I don’t know when that person washed her hands or if she’s sick. At least if the items are behind the counter I know that there are standards for sanitation. Everything we had was wonderful and my husband and I enjoyed a quiet lunch without the kids for once. We’ll go back for sure.

Naan n Curry is a curious first for me. eating Indian food not of food truck, curry up now, or indian buffets origins. i wasn’t wowed. most dishes either $ 7, $ 10 for seafood items, $ 12 for lamb easy to order. 20ish minute wait for food. eats: chicken tikka masala(7) –9ish dry, chewy chicken pieces previously grilled –sauce mildly spicy, uninspired plain naan(1) -«fresh oven baked bread», slightly bigger than personal pizza sized. good for soaking up sauces. take outs: –food slow due to many take out orders –indian music of many genres played in background –cashier cordial, very efficient in moving line quickly –portions looked small, probably equivalent to 8 oz. –naan n Curry very popular, seating can be a problem, wasn’t when i was present.

We came here during a lunch rush on sat, we were initially headed to cream for their grand opening but that failed since the line was just way too long and we didn’t have any umbrellas. The food took a super long time to come out, almost 45 minutes, they were slammed and had at least 15 tickets up that they still hadn’t finished yet. You order and pay at the front and take your # to an empty table. We ordered cauliflower potato veggies dish, chicken Karahi, plain Naan, and a garlic Naan bread. The food was super tasty and fresh when it came out but it took sooo long. I’ve been to other Naan n curries and they never have taken so long but I guess they were slammed. Next time I’d probably order the basmati rice instead of two pieces of naan. The chicken Karahi didn’t come with the bell peppers that the dish was served with at the Berkeley /sf locations. The meal was $ 20 so a pretty decent price for the amount of food that we had. It’s not a destination restaurant, per say but a solid choice for indian food.

Food is fantastic but the wait time is horrible. 1 hour to complete an order for take out. Several times while I was waiting I observed customers coming back with their take out saying they got the wrong order or they were missing items. When I finally got my order, low and behold, my order was incomplete but was quickly fixed after pointing it out. The food though is good and flavorful. The naan was just okay. Happy overall but there are cautions with this place.

Hesitating to write this review so the line doesn’t get longer… Great food with reasonable prices! This would explain the line stretching outside, but it’s worth the wait. It’s amazing just to watch the crew keeping pace with all the orders! Don’t want to wait? Just plan ahead and phone in your order or place it online(Eat24) — allow about 45 min. LOVE the samosas, chicken tikka masala, lamb vindaloo(super spicy), chana masala, naan… This place is on our weekly(er-couple times a week) menu!

Yum! I had their Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan Bread and rice. So delicious and inexpensive. I gave them 4 out of 5 stars due to their mediocre customer service. It was my first time so when I asked where I could find the plates and the to go containers, they looked at me funny and pointed in the right direction. But again, great food and inexpensive, so definitely worth a try!

Had a feeling they do not care when u specify Spicy or Not spicy and do whatever they want so I ordered both and compared side by side and I was right. They were both sooooo spicy! Very rude if someone is sensitive to spice. Also a THICK layer of grease on top of each dish! Really unappetizing to look at. There are other restaurants that are much better. Try again.

This restaurant made me love indian food. It’s super tasty! The chicken tikki masala is my go to every single time I come here, I aways tend to get a crazing for it. Their prawns are another great dish to order. Pretty much everything smells amazing here! The main guy at the register is always really nice to me and accommodates any requests I have. I give him props because this place can be insanely busy. Yes the wait can be a bit long. But that is to be expected because it’s a popular spot. The food is WELLWORTH the wait!

After reading many good reviews here about this restaurant we decided to try this restaurant out for our dinner tonight(MLK Day). I wanted to make sure that they were open for pick-up before I drive a little ways, I tried calling couple of times and the number didn’t seem to be going no where but we were persistent to try this place out. You can place order online(directs to EAT24) which was a breeze and also I was hoping that a order on the app means store is open. I wen to pick-up order a little early as I wasn’t sure if they would be open so I wanted to give myself some options if they were not open. The restaurant is small one and it was full at that time with a few customers waiting for an order. The order took about 30 mins which was within 10 – 30 min range. Took the food home it was smelling good and the food tasted yummy, it is a bit on the greasy side and mild spicy was a bit spicy. Naan was very well made. So, overall the experience is ok…

We went here today for my husband’s birthday and based in all the other reviews we were expecting a wait. Surprisingly between ordering and the food arriving at our table was about 15 minutes. The food was simply amazing! The lamb w dal was a bit spicy for me but so yummy and the chicken tikka masala was so good — seriously I could just drink the sauce! So we will definatly be coming back here!

Naan and Curry is pretty popular. You order at the counter and the drinks, plates, napkins, and utensils are near the back of the restaurant. They have takeout but we dined in and they will give you a number and bring the food to your table. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, the lamb curry, baingan bhartha, basmati rice, garlic and plain naan, and a mango lassi. The mango lassi was very sweet and the mango flavor really came through. The lamb curry was not as spicy as I thought it would be but it was very tender. The chicken tikka masala was creamy and had the tomato flavor. The eggplant was the spiciest and the best dish. I loved the spices and the mashed consistency. It went well with the rice and the naan. The naan here is very good, especially the garlic naan. It is sturdy and crisp on the outside and soft and they are bigger than the plates that the food is served in. Overall, I really enjoyed the food. The service was pretty fast and helpful when it came to asking how much food was enough for our party of four. It does get busy, but when we came in on a rainy afternoon at 11:30 A.M., there was only one other party in the restaurant. This was definitely a great find and I will be coming back for so more awesome food.

Similar complaints as other lower-star reviews. Wait time was extremely long, especially at a «slow» time(about 25 minutes after ordering and there were only 3 tables occupied). The food was not good. Not inedible, just not good. I do prefer Indian/Nepalese as opposed to Indian/Pakistani, which may be a big part of the problem. When we got our food, it was bland and mild. Every dish had what appeared to be an oil slick floating on the food(I’m guessing ghee). My biggest complaint would be cleanliness. I noticed a lot of cross-contamination of dishes. A cook would use the same spoon to stir pans of different dishes. He would cross vegetarian and meat dishes including dishes with allergens and dishes without. The biggest no-no was using a spoon to scoop raw chicken into a dish then using the same spoon to stir a cooked dish that was ready to serve. When the cooks were done with the spoons and pans, they would just put them on the floor and not into a sink or even buckets. Just right on the floor. There is a better Indian/Himalayan option just outside of Todos Santos, so there’s no reason to go to Naan n Curry anymore(or in the first place).

My most recent visit here was disappointing, but my previous two experiences were yummy– hence the 2 stars, although service is never nice. Waited in line for 10 minutes to place my order because staff was too concerned with talking at the front. Once I did place my order, we decided to do takeout(even though we drove from Pittsburg for date night) because it was too crowded and no seating was available. Once I said«for to-go» at the end of my order, our wait time jumped to «30−40» minutes(the people in front of me asking for dine-in got a 10 minute wait estimate). We came back 40 minutes later & they were still struggling to package our order. We got home to Pittsburg and I realized we were missing one of our orders if naan, and as we ate I found, not one, but TWO short black hairs in my food. Immediate appetite killer. I won’t return for a while. Maybe dine-in only? Even then, front counter AND server(busboy?) attitude is off the charts rude! There are plenty of yummy places around this area, maybe skip this one…

Had the chicken biryani, the mixed vegetables, and the spinach and potatoes with send plain naan. The chicken biryani was there best of the three dishes, though I must had found four pieces of larger spices(like cardamom pods) in my dish along with small chicken bones. This doesn’t bother me, but it might burger some. The mixed vegetables was in an alright tomato based sauce, but it was thin and not very savory. We were never asked if we wanted it spicy. My answer would have been yes, and it would likely have improved the dish. There spinach and potatoes was a little better. The spinach was nicely pureed and the potatoes were not overcooked. The naan also could have been better. It was generous and fresh, but a little added butter would have gone a long way. Still, the food was ready in fifteen minutes even though they were packed and all this food only cost $ 25. Not too shabby.

I am impressed by this Naan N Curry chain in Concord. Me, a jaded city person making that statement. SF has its fair share of good Indian food places, so much that Naan N Curry would be at the bottom of the totem pole. But outside the city, it rocks. Creamy chicken tikka masala. Wonderfully cooked Palak paneer. Robustly flavored lamb curry. Spicy chicken biryani. Fish tandoori cooked to flaky perfection. TONS of addicting garlic and onion naan. We had a total 6 dishes, 6 naans and all the chai we want to drink, which only equals to $ 73. It fed a hungry pack of Filipinos(and a white boy) and that makes me happy. Especially because, I always pay when I’m with the family. Winner.

Who doesn’t love some warm, thick and comforting curry sauce dipped in some fluffy bread or comforting pilaf? This Indian food spot is definitely a gem to the Todos Santos Plaza, and it is a plus that they are open later as compared to other local restaurants. Whether you’re taking it to dine in or to-go, the service is fast and casual and the portion sizes per dollar is PERFECT. I love the Chicken Tikka Masala, or any of the Vegetable dips(chickpeas or spinach with cheese?). It’s a great sauce to share with family or friends, as 3 – 4 pita breads seem to be enough to hold one order. The rice dishes look equally delicious; and I’ve yet to try their sauces combined seafood. Dining in, I love how there’s free complimentary Chai Tea offered. There aren’t many local Indian food places, and this place is – although at times always busy and always serving customers – is the perfect pick-me-up for your curry or any other food craving. Four-stars well deserved for never causing any complaints. Just plain comforting food to share at a reasonable price. Yum!
