I wanted to write a review because I appreciate good customer service. Both Jasmine and Shawn helped me and my mom on Sunday(12⁄6) morning. They were patient and extremely helpful. I noticed it even more when I went around to the shoes store across from them and Journeys and I wasn’t helped at all or barely. Thank you for a good experience. Both me and my mom got a pair of shoes. Me, Uggs. My mom got special othe olefin shoes that feel amazing.

We came in after lunch to look for a comfortable shoes for my mom since it was her 69 birthday. We trying on a pair of Dansko and my mom was worried that it might be too heavy. The chubby white middle age sales man recommended a less heavy pair of shoes that wasn’t slippery. We asked him for a size 8. Instead of helping us, he proceed to head the opposite direction and assist a white female and the sensor board where they measure pressure point. Confused… I asked him was he out of size 8? He replied, «I was going to head back to get the shoes but I decided to help this lady instead.» Did he think that we couldn’t afford a pair of shoes in here or that we aren’t worth his time.

THEWALKINGCOMPANYWILLNOTSHIPIN A PAIROFSHOESFORYOUTOTRYONTOSEEIFTHEYFITUNLESSYOUPAYFORTHESHOESFIRST!!! How can you know of you want to buy the shoes unless you try them on first? Here you have to buy them first, then try them on. Almost everything I needed they didn’t have in stock. I am supposed to pay for shoes before I try them on? I am supposed to pay for a suit before I try it on to see if it fits? Go somewhere else! Don’t waste your time or money here. This place has nothing in stock that I need. I bought a pair of Danskos that hurt my feet. I brought them back and they won’t refund, if you’ve worn them, only give in store credit, which makes sense. I have no problem with that. However, everything I wanted to exchange it for, for in store credit, they didn’t have in stock. The sales guy suggested a size wider. They didn’t have it. Then he suggested a size bigger, they didn’t have it. So just to have something shipped to the store, to try my feet in them, to see if they fit, to see if I will even buy them, they demand you pay for first! Why would I pay for a product that I don’t even know will fit, that I don’t even know I will buy and pay for it up front? I complained to the customer service supervisor on their website. She said what I’m saying doesn’t make sense. They don’t make sense. Wouldn’t you want to try on a dress or a suit before you bought it to see if it fit and you liked it? Would you pay for that product up front before you even knew if it fit you and you wanted to buy it? That is what The Walking Company requires. I think that is stupid. It’s not my fault that they don’t have anything I need in stock. I told that to the sales guy and he said, «It’s not my fault either.» Helpful huh? I am supposed to continue to pay for shoes and go around in circles with re-ordering etc., b/c they don’t have it in stock and I don’t even know if I will buy it. My advice is save your time and money go somewhere else. Nordstrom will get shoes in the store for you to try on, if they don’t have them in stock, just to see if they fit and they won’t make you pay for them first!!! And Nordstrom has some very affordable shoes. If the shoes you pay for don’t work, good luck with The Walking Store.

The staff here is so friendly and helpful! I bought a pair of shoes here and after a day I decided I needed a bigger size, so I brought them back for an exchange. Nico, the guy who did the transaction was professional and very efficient and he made my exchange quick and simple. I got home later and I realized that I had left my bag with my shoes on a bench in the mall… I thought aww shit, someone stole them for sure! That night I saw a missed call on my phone from the store(this was after the mall had closed) and I thought oh joy! Some sweet, wonderful, kindhearted person found the bag and returned them to the store, bless their heart! So I called the store the next morning and spoke with the store manager and explained what had happened. He said that someone had returned the shoes to the store and had gotten cash back(the receipt was in the bag and I paid cash– Fiddlesticks! I told you they were a sweet, wonderful kindhearted person, didn’t I?) But he said that they realized in it later in their system that it wasn’t me who returned it.(They get your name and phone number initially when you pay cash) but he told me that they have the shoes ready for me and told me I could come pick them up whenever I was ready. What wonderful news!!! Shawn(or maybe it’s Sean — sorry if I spelled it wrong!) you and the employees at The Walking Company are spendid and you made my week! You are the ones who are sweet, wonderful and kindhearted! Good Karma to you! 8)

It is difficult for me to find shoes — color, size, style. I’m just so picky! Ben at this store was so helpful and willing to find me a pair of shoes that fit and met my needs. In the end I tried on almost a dozen pairs of shoes with various inserts. He was patient and encouraging and brought styles out that I might of liked based on what I was trying on. In the end my husband and I walked out with 2 new pairs of shoes with needed inserts. We appreciate! how he listened to our requests and educated us on the various aspects of shoes we tried on. Great customer service — thanks!
