Drove by and saw the outside sitting so we stopped. Wish we hadn’t. Soft roasted potatoes, crab cakes that taste like canned crab, soup that tastes like canned soup… even the asparagus were tiny and hard. Two stars because the kids loved the little beach, and my husband liked his sandwich.

Food took forever and was terrible. The place wasn’t even crowded. I got a chicken salad. The chicken was dry, the mozzarella was disgustingly watery and gooey and the onions were bad. Worst place I’ve been to in awhile. Will not return.

This was our second time here. It’s a great place to go with a group especially if there are kids. This time we were with my son’s hockey team. They were very accommodating even though we had a pretty large group(about 30 people). The food is good. Great outside seating area with bocce ball and games.

Worst restaurant ever. Seriously do not go here. We got our food after 25 minutes which was cold. After complaining to our waitress the manager came over and was rude and degrading. She tried to tell us she felt the food and it «wasn’t cold» and then proceeded to say«but I didn’t stick my finger in the middle of it» I couldn’t believe the way she was talking, and to think she’s the manager of a restaurant! Pathetic. Honestly, if you don’t like people don’t be in the hospitality industry. I’ll now go to duffers mill, not the pub! Yuck!!!

I’ve lived in the area for 10 years, however, I don’t really go to bars. I’ve been to the Duffers on 352, a few times, but it wasn’t anything exciting. Last night we were trying to find something for dinner, and there’s really no place opened past 9⁄10 in the area, as most residents know. There’s also not very many good takeout places available. We checked out their menu online, and saw a bunch of great choices. We ordered and it was ready quickly and the fries were still nice and hot! We got home in no time and saw that the portion sizes were amazing! The steak fries are delicious! I got a chicken parm panini, however, it was really just chicken parm on a soft roll. I had no complaints though, just don’t expect that it’s going to be a grilled sandwich. I could tell the customers inside were clearly regulars, and they were in the older range about 40 – 60’s. We will be back very soon!

I feel really sad every time I walk into this place. It’s legitimately the exact same people, the exact same music, and the exact same experience every time. The regulars there are fake wanna-be rednecks from Pennsylvania who take over the jukebox and play the same 5 – 10 country songs on repeat. This might be acceptable if we were in Georgia but we’re not. It didn’t bother me too much until one of the employees started doing the same. Besides him, nothing is wrong with the bar itself, actually. I’ve asked some of the regulars why they are always at Duffer’s every night. Interestingly, they mostly all tell me that nobody ‘actually’ likes it there.

Perfect place to drink and hangout. Three stars for the food. Ordered chicken wings, spicy and Caribbean jerk, Philly cheese steak egg rolls, and edamame. spicy wings were good but not memorable, caribbean jerk had too many different spices to truly enjoy. The Philly cheesesteak eggrolls were pretty awesome though. I’ll be back for their happy hour irregardless.

Worst service ever… Would never go here again. Waited 25 mins for service, even asked a server for a menu.

Excellent local eatery. So glad to find it amongst all of the cookie cutter restaurants in the area, where you could get the same food as in your home town. Had the bourbon glazed meatloaf and it was great. The wife had a pasta dish called chicken Augusta which was really good, and I mean REALLY good! Service was friendly and prompt. Food quality was fresh, and even the appetizers excelled. I wish I had one near me, or that I lived near Chadds Ford, PA.

I’m pretty easy to get along with, but what happened at Duffers today, St Patrick’s Day, is unforgivable. I ordered a Guinness and the bartender poured the entire pint in one pour. Ok. No big deal you say. But if you drink Guinness you know that is not how it’s poured. The true insult though was when I ordered the second. Not only was it poured again in one long pour but also in the same glass!!! No beer should ever be poured in the same glass. Especially a heavily laced Guinness glass and certainly not in a slow afternoon bar on St Patrick’s Day. Shame on Duffers!!! With Irish music on the background and green light decorations, at least get a proper Guinness poured properly in a clean glass!

Gotta got with 2 for the food. Had slimy wings with flavor-less sauce… not a fan. The beer was cold, the service was excellent, but I wouldn’t eat here again. Sorry!

This is my favorite bar in the world. Instead of telling you why I love it in my own words, I will select comments, from the negative reviews, that explain why I love it: «This bar made me feel like I was in South Jersey again.»(Reviewer’s note — obviously the best of the Jerseys.) «You have your choice of dark and dingy upstairs, or dark and even dingier downstairs.»(Reviewers note — choices.) ” if you’re trying to have a meal and don’t want to play trivia or be around a bunch of drunk, loud assholes, you’re going to be annoyed.”(Reviewers note — that’s exactly what I want to do.) «I know its primarily a bar but it’s not 1975 anymore»(Reviewers note — did you miss the neon palm tree outside? That’s straight 1998 son.) ” a chubby little girl in thigh-high boots came to our table, introduced herself as the manager,”(reviewers note — what up girl, you go down the shore?). «Their food is mediocre at best, the beer selection is all right, and the waitstaff is friendly, but that it»(Reviewer’s note — EXACTLY.)

I’m actually leaving a 1 star. It finally happened. This bar made me feel like I was in South Jersey again. That’s not a compliment. At first our bartender was nice and got our drinks. Then the ignoring started. We finished our drinks and kindly waited. 5 minutes went by. 10 minutes went by. We would signal her, wave(i hate doing that, it makes me feel like an asshole), finally my girlfriend got tired of it(she’s a bartender) and tapped our bartender on the shoulder. The bartender then said«Wait a minute» and ignored us for a couple more minutes. She took our drink orders, then proceeded to SLAM our drinks on the counter and basically throw them at us. We ordered food. While we were trying to order it, the bartender left us and took a drink order while my girlfriend was mid sentence. It was tasty(i got the Bogie Wrap, she got the Avocado burger) it just came out lukewarm like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. When we asked our bartender about it, she got mean with us and said, «I’m a bartender, i have nothing to do with food». Finally, one thing about the clientele. When we walked in, we got carded by the bartender. I’m 29, my girlfriend is 25, so it’s standard, we’re used to it. 2LARGE groups of very underage looking kids walked in and the bartender served them right away. I don’t get it. I spent $ 24 dollars on food and $ 39 dollars on drinks with tip. Considering the amount of money I spent, I don’t feel like I was treated properly or with respect. I didn’t short tip the bartender, because I hate doing that, but she had it coming with her rude behavior and comments.

This place is good, decent but nothing better then what should be average of a delco bar. HOWEVER I am completely appreciative of them becoming a NONSMOKING bar as of recently and for that reason I think I will keep this on my list of places to visit. Furthermore I will not waste another dollar in the jukebox/touchtunes that they have no matter how long I’m there and how much I spend, NOTHING I pay to play ever plays no matter how long I’m there waiting to hear it. It’s annoying, your out having a good time shooting pool and all you want to do is hear a good song you like and it never plays. Also the rear entrance steps are always covered with drunks sitting on them and not moving so that you can make your way into the bar.

This place is a worn down dive. It’s so dark in there it’s like a vampires dungeon it smells like A moldy basement. Food sucks service sucks beer was warm. I could have sat on my toilet at home and ate and it probably would’ve been more sanitary than this place. Stay away from here unless you like bad service and crappy food

We drive by this place every weekend on the way to/from the shore, but never stopped. Today, on our way home from the Eagles game, my son and I decided to stop, since they had an outside patio. The food was good — the loaded fries were excellent. He had wings, I the sesame salmon salad. All things considered, it was a decent meal, reasonable price, and we sat outside on a nice patio watching the late afternoon games. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, but yes, the one hostess did look miserable, as someone else pointed out. lol

My main complaint about Duffers is that if you’re trying to have a meal and don’t want to play trivia or be around a bunch of drunk, loud assholes, you’re going to be annoyed. The food is actually pretty damn good. The sweet potato«chips» with horseradish dip are beyond delightful. I could destroy an entire plate of them. I would talk about the other food we ate that was pretty solid, but I just can’t get over the sweet potato chips. I keep thinking about them. So I’m just going to end this review and go think about them some more.

For boondocks PA this bar does the trick. Also there was music on that constantly made me feel like I could dance. Clearly essential in small town bars. After driving forever, getting lost and then finally circling all the way back we made it in time for the late night menu. Because it’s the late night menu I don’t think they’re bringing their best game here. Selection was great… pizza, soft pretzels(YESSSS), wings etc, all the things you could possibly imagine to be on a bar late night menu. We ordered an array of things all of which satisfied our hungry bellies but nothing that would ever bring me back. We could have probably made an equal feast in our kitchens from the frozen food aisle in the super market. But hey, late at night that’s all you really need right? Cheap beer specials, frozen foods and some good music to dance to.
