Place is very nice inside. Good for kids. Was crowded but service was fine and we did not wait long for our food. Portions were so so. Kids meals kinda skimpy on fries. My friend got the club it was very good. I got salad with chicken and chicken was inedible. Horrible flavor and just bland and disgusting. Will return but get something different

Great place. I love the atmosphere and food. My wife loves going here. Thanks for being in the area.

The manager at this location seats her friends before she seats people waiting for tables. A party of 26 came in 10 minutes into my 15 minute wait and were seated ahead of the 5 other parties waiting and on the waiting list. She lied about this large party being on the list then changed her story to call ahead seating, which Ruby’s does not have. What a joke.

Stopped here on the way back from gymnastics meet based on Unilocal review. It did not disappoint. Food was hot and fast. Staff was friendly and restaurant was clean. Kids loved making the paper cars while we waited.

Can always count on Ruby’s for a good burger. Not a fan of the skinny fries. Staff is pleasant and food delivered in a timely manner.

On the up side, Ruby’s has a clean, pleasant, kind of fun atmosphere(especially when the model train is running overhead), the food here is fine and is generally well prepared by the hardworking men on the grill. The restaurant also has plenty of servers. Unfortunately, the servers are all young people that stand around in a group at the front of the restaurant, and seem slightly resentful if you interrupt their conversation with a request for food or service. Hence, the good food is often cold by the time it is served. Even though I live half a mile from Ruby’s, I always travel the five miles further down Route 1 to Hank’s Place. The servers there are a little more, uh, well-seasoned, and they know how to treat their customers, by which I mean they acknowledge your existence when you arrive and they bring you your food while it’s still hot. And as another reviewer notes, a Philly area diner with no scrapple? Whatareya kiddin me?!!

Stopped for breakfast this morning. Very disappointing. The waitress took our order and returned later with our order. She put it on the table with the order reversed and missing the bacon. She promptly left, avoiding eye contact for our entire meal. The manager wizzed past maybe 4 times and never smiled or looked at us. It was impossible to get anyone’s attention, I just decided to forget the bacon and wish I’d been offered more coffee. The eggs were barely warm, but ok. We won’t waste our time going back; there are too many great choices for breakfast in the area.

I must say we really liked this place years ago but went into Ruby’s the other day and were told that they wouldn’t seat us until all people were present even though there was hardly anyyyyone in the place. We told the hostess that our other person was only 2 min away and she said sorry not going to seat you. We’re were so mad. And then when he showed up and we asked her to seat us she rudely says«can I finish what I’m doing first???» Never ever going back. Customer friendly… not in the least. Stay away!

How can this place be a Philadelphia area restaurant and NOT have scrapple on their breakfast menu? For the un-initiated, scrapple is what they sweep up from the floor at the sausage factory, but it is extremely tasty with fried eggs and Heintz(not Hunts) ketchup or catsup, whichever you prefer.

Great place to go for some creative burgers. The meat patty itself is nothing to really rave about, but the variety of different creations and additional toppings is very impressive. The burger is very delicious when you get all the ingredients that you want to accompany your patty. The toppings all seemed to be fresh and plentiful. The regular fries are good and golden, but I don’t think I will get the garlic fries again. Even though they were covered in minced garlic I really did not get a sense of any taste change from just the regular. Their milkshakes are very big so you can certainly share with someone. The staff at this location was very polite, and I heard a table next to me recognize their waiter obviously from being regulars. The place looks like an old fashioned burger joint, but it is not stuffy or packed with tables. Word to the wise: if you order a plain cheeseburger you will only get meat and cheese. You need to specify if you want any extra toppings such as lettuce and tomato. Granny made that regretful mistake.

Well after 4 years nothing new added to décor train was not working. I was told had electronic errors. But the biggest downfall was no Coby burgers why I went many times and why I went today very disappointed. Girls were very fast working hard work. I noticed one thing they put dishes in tubs but they are on the floor so the girls have to constantly bend down. I probably won’t go back cause the coby burgers were the best ever.

Cheerful employees and a fun atmosphere! I really like the theme restaurants when they don’t go overboard, Ruby’s doesn’t go overboard. The food was really good and without good food this restaurant would have gone bust a few years ago. We went Sunday afternoon and it’s obviously a type of place where you’d bring the children after a soccer game! The servers have gender specific uniforms, but their roles tend to be mixed, so there isn’t any form of sexism that I can see. Furthermore, for the most part the employees seemed to be having fun. I definitely look forward to going back to Ruby’s. I was too full for a milkshake, so that’s definitely on my to do list!

We ate here around 3:30 today, i had a blue cheese cheese burger with onion rings & a coke. Bernadette Connushad a cheeseburger with fries and a coke. $ 25+ guess the days of a cheap hamburger are over :) Good meal, BUT with all the lettuce, «special Ruby’s sauce” the roll falls apart soaked with juice… We will try it again, taste was good… :) Charlies Hamburgersstill the best

Food was good. Had veggie omelet and a huge cinnamon roll. Cinnamon roll needed more cinnamon but was ok. Omelet was good but they only have tabasco as a spice. so bring your own. Price was reasonable.

Live in the area, but never realized that Rubys was open for breakfast. Even on a busy Sunday morning, service was good. Husband had multigrain pancakes– delish. I had egg white omelet and fruit. It was ok. But after tasting his I wish I had gotten that– next time. I would recommend Rubys for a nice breakfast without a wait at a good price.

Great place with good casual food but I am continually irritated by their policy of not seating before the entire party gets here, especially since when there are tables available and you are with young children. Come on guys your customer experience is important! Headed back to Rubys because it was close and the review keeps getting worse. Our little one got the paper car to construct and she accidentally ripped it. To avoid a meltdown we asked for a new one– get this– we need to pay $ 1 for another car. I just don’t think this place understands customer experience ATALL.

I was in this area for an 8AM appointment and desperately needed coffee. Target(Starbucks) does not open until 8, but Ruby’s is open at 7AM and does a VERY nice breakfast. I had coffee and a very nice«veggie» eggs Benedict with spinach, tomato and avocado. The hollandaise likely came from a mix — but i asked for it on the side and it was pretty good anyway. So after tax and tip — I blew $ 15 on breakfast but it was delicious and a welcome respite. Excellent service — the place was nearly empty — just me and one other table at 7:05AM!

I’ve always thought that Ruby’s Diner does a good job at one thing — making a decent burger at a fair price, and wrapping that in good service. However, the location in Glen Mills PA is a cut above the other Ruby’s I have been to. The servers are super nice, friendly & efficient(thank you Julia!), and I was very happy with the recommended Avocado Turkey Burger(on a gluten free bun). At lunchtime here, it’s quite loud, so perhaps not the ideal spot for a business lunch, but the atmosphere is fun and the value is good. Obviously the mgmt at this location tries really hard to hire & train good people. Kudos to them for a job well done. This place is a good example of why McDonalds is tanking as the go-to place for burgers.

I’ve never been to a Ruby’s and been disappointed. But then again, I’ve never been to a Ruby’s and been wowed. This location is no different. Our service has always been decent, but no one seems to like their jobs here altogether too much. We have frequently had to wait on certain items or just… not gotten them at all. But! The burgers are an old standby and the quesadillas are pretty darned tasty. I got the diet menu tacos last time and… eh? I think I just need to stick to things that come with French fries, bite the bullet(that calorie filled bullet) and wait for another night to eat healthy, when I come to Ruby’s. Points are added for a great milkshake and because they seem pretty kid friendly. Like Friendly’s for the Philly burbs.
