If you haven’t tried Anna’s crumb cake, it is the BEST! Perfect ratio of crumb to cake and it always delivers. So good! Also, her marzipan in the shape of miniature fruits is really delicious– mostly made around the holidays. Scrumptious!

I love this bakery. My family has been going here for decades. Best Italian pastries and cookies in the county by far! Wide selection and consistent year after year!

Nothing I have tried has lived up to the hype– cakes, pastries, etc. My husband loves the chocolate cake, but it just tastes like sugar to me, no rich flavor. Maybe you have to like light and sugary desserts.

Let’s just say that for better or worse, I will always carry a bit of Congers in my bones(despite sidling through Clarkstown North hoping no one would notice my corduroy overalls or the Chinese lotion my mother insisted on slathering me in every morning). So I’m beyond excited that there’s an awesome bakery right down the hill from Rockland Lake. Can it rival Rockland Bakery with its mass assortment of bagels and bread and all other manner of baked goods? No, but Anna’s also doesn’t have the long lines or crazy parking lot manuvering. I was torn between getting a healthy selection of cookies versus a giant cake for NYE frolicking, but happily, I was talked into getting a cake. Specifically, the layered cheesecake, mousse, and chocolate cake monstrosity. Just kidding. It was beautiful — topped with sugar-sprinkled raspberries and blueberries, and with little curls of whipped cream on the bottom base. My favorite was the cheesecake layer, and I usually can’t stomach cheesecake. HOWEVER. Their chocolate chip cookie was neither chewy(the best) nor hard as a rock(the second worst) but crumbly and tasted like stale almond cookies. Also contained an unforgivable dearth of chocolate chips, which, in a true CCC, should be fat and melted and oozing in every nook and crevice. I took one bite and had to give it to my father. Which, in a perfect world, should never have to happen. HOWEVER(x2). They let you sample their cookies before buying them. So it was entirely my fault for eating the stale miniature CCC and thinking the regular-sized one would be any different. Next time: maybe their danishes that they sold out of that day, rainbow cookie, mini-lobster tail, carrot cupcake.

The cupcakes were OK, and unfortunately didn’t live up to the hype. Maybe I got the wrong cupcake on the wrong day.

This bakery has been around for years, but idk how they stay in business. When you walk into a bakery it should smell delicious and this one smells awful! The atmosphere is unappealing. Anna herself is very rude and not knowledgable. You ask her for a certain type of cake(pre-made) and when you bring it home and cut slices, you find out it’s the wrong cake! How can she tell someone that a chocolate frosted cake is a buttercream frosting with yellow cake inside, when in fact it was a seven layer fudge cake!!! Several years ago we had ordered a fondant special theme cake(not too many other bakeries around did that type back then.) We wanted it to serve 15 people and she refused to make it that size, claiming it wasn’t possible to do so. We wound up with a cake that could serve 40 people! Anna is just difficult and not a good business woman and her cakes are not the quality of other bakeries in Rockland.

This bakery has the freshest pastries I’ve ever tasted! The cookies are soft and delicious, with fresh and creamy frosting. I also love the marzipan fruits. I ordered a birthday cake from Anna’s this fall as well. The cake was a yellow base with fluffy chocolate mousse layers and a chocolate ganache frosting. The cake was wrapped with tricolor cookies and topped with chocolate curls. It was delicious and very unique! I can’t recommend this bakery highly enough! Always a hit.

The cakes are ok but the attitude that you get from Anna her self is not worth the trip to the bakery. She makes you feel like she is doing you a favor when you ask her«can you make a cake to look like this«time for her to retire !!!

Won a gift certificate for this bakery and used it on cookies. They were so good! Definitely will be back.

I love this bakery — the cannolis are always fresh and delicious(well, on Sundays I think they occasionally pre-fill some because business is so brisk that there isn’t time to fill each individual order) and they’re a heck of a lot cheaper than in the North End in Boston. I don’t live in Rockland anymore, but whenever we’re in town to visit the folks, I always stop in(unless it’s Monday and they’re closed) and my daughters always order something different and haven’t been disappointed yet.

Always fresh, always delicious. Even their Italian cookies rock! Not dried out and hard, but fresh, buttery and delicate. Fruits tarts are great. Pastries are great. You could never eat Rockland Bakery again, after having Anna’s treats! Once I ordered cupcakes for a baby shower to give to the children, but all of the ADULTS got to them FIRST!

This is my favorite bakery in Rockland. I grew up in Congers and although Anna’s is the latest bakery that has inhabited the location, it is still just as great if not better then the prior ones. I love their sugar cookies. My parents used to send me a pound of their sugar cookies via mail when I was in college, whenever I got home-sick. All I can say is that for every holiday in my home, Anna’s Bakery’s cookies are always on the table come dessert time.
