The food is average. A lot of food items are clearly not made in their kitchen. Most of the staff is friendly. Always crowded and loud. Gift store a bit pricey.

Stopped in after a long day of driving. We thought our waiter was going to be cool because he started out joking with us. That was the end of his«cool». He messed up my very simple country dinner plate…4 vegetables, really? My son was ½ done with his food by the time mine came. Then he didn’t come back for a long time so we finally flagged him down and asked for a drink refill… when he brought it by he seemed to slam it on the table as he was breezing by. Finally flagged him down again for dessert and again, the drop and run. We obviously we’re NOT a priority for him. Even my son who usually makes excuses for why people act poorly couldn’t excuse this. We left, paid our bill and he earned a less than 10% tip. Worst service ever at a CB. Very disappointed, especially since he had 4STARS on his apron.

I hadn’t been back in a couple years. Visited recently with my husband while passing through. To my surprise, easy to find a table on a Friday afternoon. Plenty of parking and easy to get to from I-45. The mood: Fun gift store with clothes, candles, kid stuff, candies. Checkers and rocking chairs out front. I also love the lamps at each table and all the fun, old décor. Fireplace too. Esp in winter. The food: Omgsh those biscuits! And apple butter to top them. Loved the sausage, coffee, husband blueberry pancakes, eggs with cholula.

Worst visit ever. Came with friends so we ordered at the same time but they delivery half the table and it take other 20 minutes to get the other half. Not only that but our waitress kept telling us their is no difference between country fried chicken and chicken fried steak! But a second waitress spoke to us like we can not understand how to order. Like really? So we had to wait even longer for the correct plate since nobody know what’s going on here. It’s so annoying. Please train better. Never coming back.

Just stopped for breakfast. Ordered«Herschel’s favorite», $ 7.99, Ham ‘steak’ [not], 2 scrambled, cheesy potato casserole [cold], dab of grits, dab o’ gravy, 2 small biscuits. Doesn’t draw me back or hold a candle to The Fish Pond 10 miles N. Ham steak was thin, bony and gristley. After tip with $ 2.19 coffee I’m out of there for thirteen bucks. Whataburger is better than this. Buh-bye…

Love this spot. My food is always hot and fresh and service is always good. I love the little shop too. Chicken fried chicken is my favorite dish here.

Food quality was very disappointing. All veggies were bland like hospital food. I ordered chicken and dumplings, two little pieces of bland chicken under a plate of dough is what I received. Not the cracker barrel freshness I was hoping for.

Beeing going here on and off for about 3 years now. Have had GREAT visits andless than pleasant ones. Food is okay — not fantastic as I have heard people say it used to be back in the day. Place is ALWAYS wall to wall people which is why I don’t go often. I do not like loud noises and crowds and my 13 year old Asperger’s son dislikes them even more than I do. Never had an amazing experience here but not one so horrible that I will STOP going.

This a great chain restaurant for southern food. Our last visit was great! The service tends to be slow at times. The food is usually tasty and the coffee is pretty good, too. I have only eaten something other than breakfast food once it just wasn’t the same. It was okay, but I love breakfast at any meal, so that’s what I’ll stick to no matter when I go. The service this time was AMAZING! Michelle was our waitress and she was so fast and always made sure we had drinks and if we needed anything else. They have so many choices on the menu it’s hard to make a fast decision. I do highly recommend the hashbrown casserole. Also asking for the apple butter for your biscuits is a must. I ordered a scramble this time and it was delicious. It has eggs, onions, bell peppers, meat and cheese. I asked for Cholula to put in top. I ordered a large milk, which was two pints and it came with a frosted mug. Everyone left full and satisfied. We will be back.

Got the Old Timers. Really good. I love this place but Cracker Barrel in general is always so crowded. Did a little shopping too. Quick service. Food yummy. Especially the biscuits.

I left a review a while a go. But i decided to return to see if that was just one bad experience or just a lack of quality. It turns out it was just a lack of quality. I figured you cant mess up scrambled eggs but somehow they did. When you find uncooked egg white in your scrambled egg most people would send it back.

This location is not what is used to be. Dirty silverware. Chairs with food on them. Waited 30 min after ordering. Medium rare hamburger steak was unseasoned medium well and very dry. Good mashed potatoes and gravy. Left most. Very dry baked chicken and forgotten dressing. Lemon pepper rainbow trout was very good. IF, and that’s a big IF, I come back it will only né because their breakfast is good.

Service was good. Atmosphere happy, building clean. Ordered lemon peppered grilled trout. Yummy. The pecan crusted catfish was ok, smothered in some sweet sauce and couldn’t taste the fish. Macaroni and cheese was excellent Cheesy grits were inedible, watery, old milk flavoring, no real cheese taste, just plain nasty. I eat a lot of grits. Fried apples were delicious. Ordered the coca cola cake for desert with blue bell ice cream. Delicious.

Comfy, quaint and yummy. They have a Delicious breakfast! Best syrup! Last time my boyfriend and I went there we had breakfast And it was great. This time he has the shrimp and while I don’t like shrimp, these were quite yummy! I had their chicken and dumplings, dear God they were incredibly bland. The mashed potatoes were decent but needed more butter. I had their fried okra, too much batter though. I love their biscuits and they give You real butter. We’ve never had anything but friendly and fun staff and the atmosphere is super relaxed and cozy!

Cracker Barrel is about as classic as country cookin’ gets, minus grandma’s deft production. The Catfish Country Dinner Plate is always delicious, as well as the Friday Fish Fry and the Haddock Dinner. The biscuits and cornbread are awesome with apple butter, FYI.

Wait was about 15 minutes on a Saturday at about 1pm. We were seated near the fireplace. Toasty and nice. We decided to skip breakfast and just have lunch. My husband had grilled catfish, coleslaw and fried okra. Tea for his beverage. I ordered Chicken Livers… love, love, love them, typically. My sides were cucumber, tomato and onion salad and green beans. Husband got his order. His lunch was satisfactory to him. My Livers came and were so overcooked they were burnt and hard to chew. Had NO taste whatsoever. I would not have said anything, but my husband told waiter about them and he ordered a new plate for me. Manager came to apologize and ordered another plate. I agreed to the 2nd try because I wanted Chicken Livers. The next batch came and were worst than the first order. They arrive and the people next to me saw how difficult this plate was to eat as well. The Manager came over to see how they were and as I was sawing a Liver with a knife and couldn’t cut it or break it with my fingers. The Managers said she asked the cooks to cook them at least a minute less. That was still too long. The Manager explained they come prefloured and ready to cook. Had I known that, I wouldnt have ordered the second go round. None of the food had any seasoning on it. We received our biscuit and cornbread muffins after our meal was finished. Drinks were sparingly replenished and only when asked. We didn’t ask for dessert because we were worried it would be of the same calliber in taste. My biscuit was good, although it was cold when it came, making the cold butter they served with it awfully difficult to spread for that matter. Not what Cracker Barrel used to be. Service mediocre. The family next to us told me when we were leaving that they were wondering how I was going to eat the Livers when they saw me literally, sawing one. We were charged for the Livers I didn’t eat, but when we questioned the charge it was removed.

Cracker Barrel is one of my favorite places to eat 100%. I love the feeling you get of stepping back in time. This Cracker Barrel was great as usual. Had the Old Timer breakfast with coffee to drink. Usually the coffee is just ok but today it was wonderful. The fire in the fireplace was an awesome addition to the atmosphere of the place. This is probably the 2nd best Cracker Barrel I’ve ever been to. Will be back for sure!

I love the blueberry pancakes, especially in Spring. This place gets crazy busy so we always have that in mind when we go, you should too. The service and food are always up to par, no pun intended considering there are golf tees on the table. My kids really like going here because they can play giant checkers. We will definitely come back.

If I had not experienced Cracker Barrel previously, I would have assumed my feelings were bias because the whole time my wife was saying CHEDDARS she was talking about CRACKERBARREL when we were discussing what we and some friends were going to eat. Let’s first discuss what’s right or good about it. I like the Country décor of the place. I like the way the food is described in the menu Ok this boring — enough of this… NEXT CUSTOMERSERVICE: Usually the customer service is pretty good but I experienced a slight irritation with the little waitress we had at this particular location. ME: how are the burgers here? LITTLEWAITRESS: I don’t know. I’m new. I’m sorry but I don’t like that answer. Little Missy should have asked one of her co-workers to give us their opinion of the burger or lie about it .I’m not sweatin’ the little training issue though :) FOOD: the presentation of the food is nice. The taste of the food is not bad but it’s not memorable either. I haven’t tasted that dish that makes me want to rush out to Cracker Barrel. We all know one entrée or dish can determine where you spend your money to eat. That’s all.
