Was really excited to try this place. Ended up being very disappointed! 1st of all, no sweet tea. Hello, Dosey Doe… As in square dancing. You can’t get any more country than that yet you don’t have sweet tea. That was fail #1. Got the chicken fried steak bites. Tasted like a school lunch steak finger-yuck. Ordered a burger with onion rings. While the burger was huge, it lacked very much flavor. I hated the beer battered onion rings. My boyfriend loved them though so maybe that’s a draw. I won’t be going back, ever. Between the quality of the food and the prices(one appetizer, one glass of tea, 2 entrees= $ 43) it’s just not worth it.

Stopped in on a Sunday morning on the way home from Houston to Dallas. The building is really cute. I got the chicken fried steak and eggs, and the gravy was ridiculously delicious. My only complaint is that they only offered 4 or 5 meal options. It pretty much covered what one could want, but no benedict like I saw on the regular breakfast menu when I looked the place up.

Great salads, huge too much for one. I got the hill country and my wife got the Cobb salad. Try the fried green tomatoes. They were awesome.

Coffee is amazing! That’s it though. Pancakes are burnt, chicken fried steak was bland and the gravy was disgusting. Huevos rancheros was mehh. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone, unless you want to stop by for a coffee to-go.

Came here with out-of-town family for Sunday breakfast. We were a party of six and were seated right away at a large table. With five chairs. I stood there awkwardly for a bit before I realized I had to grab my own chair. Okie doke. Anyways, the food was decent. Scrambled eggs were nice and fluffy. Andouille sausage was grilled with a nice char. Chicken fried steak didn’t seem frozen. Coffee was good, with frequent refills. Biscuit was meh. Everyone finished their meal. The best part of the experience was the piano player. He was awesome. If you’re there, don’t forget to tip him! It was a good brunch for our group aged 6 to 75, and there were a lot of other families there. I’d like to give it another try.

I have been a Starbucks gold member since 2009 but don’t always have time to make it to Starbucks before work, so I’ll stop for coffee at Dosey Doe(I live close by). I actually went for coffee there today. I always have a good experience when I come here. The staff is very friendly and the coffee is pretty darn good too. It’s actually about 20 cents more than my regular drink at Starbucks(even with an extra shot of espresso) but I feel like the price has to do with the novelty of the location, and the experience. It’s also not super crowded like Starbucks. The baristas actually chat with you while making your drink. I love that! I’ve been to one concert and eaten dinner there quite a few times. Love the chicken fried steak and lemon drop martinis. Overall a neat place to go. Food isn’t too bad either. Try to make it for a concert if you can. It’s a lot of fun!

Great place for home cooked breakfast & coffee. Chicken & waffles were amazing and was a huge serving size. Loved the empanadas that I took some of the pit game & cheese ones to go.

Last night attended a cd release. Two acts performed and I was seated on the first level near stage right. Upon arriving I found out I was supposed to pre-order tickets, and even though I didn’t they seated me promptly. Food looked great, though I didn’t try it. I give service 4 out of 5 stars. It was hard to get a refill and the group next to us had a few errors. Overall good service though. Bathrooms were clean. Parking was bountiful. Outdoor patio area as well. Two levels of seating available. Sound quality was above average. That’s it! I’d recommend seeing a concert here soon!

I have only been here for family breakfasts on Sunday’s, but I feel it’s always hit or miss. By saying hit or miss its either really a great experience with the staff or horrible. The food in my opinion is overpriced and simply average at best. Options are limited in this neck of the woods and since we are driving from downtown Houston to meet family, I realize that there are not a ton of options. The white chocolate mocha frap is my favorite thing and next time I’ll probably just go with that and an early lunch. The décor is cute and love the mis-match chairs. I have read that their lunch/dinner is good and wouldn’t mind trying a show to check out. If so I would happily revise my review if this experience fairs more favorably!

So not great this morning. My migas was cold and no one re-filled my coffee till i got my check. So what is normally a great breakfast was just passable this morning. morning coffee stop. They roast there own beans.

Went for a concert and had a great time. It’s a cute place, different from most other places I’ve been to for live music. Cozy. We had probably one of the best seats in the house, and the drinks were extremely reasonable! Two reasons for the 4 instead of 5 stars. 1. It took forever to get drinks from our server. He was completely overwhelmed. He either was new, or they were very understaffed. We had to go to the bar more than once for beer… 2. We went to see a country artist, but there was no where to dance… whoomp whoomp (But, we’d still go back)

This place is an awesome venue to take in love music. It’s like an old saloon and the ambiance fits nicely. A very fun place to go. We arrived at 6:45 with the first act starting at 7:30. All the music ran exactly on time throughout the night. We saw a single guy open for a band. The band was really really good. The only downside was the service was really really bad. The place advertises as kid friendly. But, maybe because we didn’t sit and Orser lots of beers, we didn’t get much attention. But it took a FOREVER to get our appetizers and out meal. And our waiter rarely ever came to check on us. I’d give the service a one star, the atmosphere and music a five star rating. I would recommend going for a fun ending.

All you can eat chicken and dumplings lunch spells danger to your afternoon plans. The hand whipped potatoes are there for the extra carb overload. Good thing they have great coffee.

Good coffee. We always get the press. We ask for lots of cream and sugar(meaning we’d like to save you time by asking for a cup because that means less time you spend running back and forth because we like our coffee light and sweet) Good breakfast. I like the Huevos Rancheros and my husband like the Grits Waffle. But other than that it’s all the same anywhere else. Service has been in between good and so-so. Nothing spectacular about Dosey Does for brunch. Except that I do enjoy their brunch buffet off 45.

Always EXCELLENT home cooked breakfast and the cappuccino is awesome! I love their blueberry pancakes(filled with fresh blueberries) and my BF gets the Migas. I only gave them 3 stars because we had dinner there once and the meals were not that great. LOVE the acoustic area for live music, it’s really nice!!!

Food is not so hot. Had lunch there twice. Burgers were ho hum. Chicken fingers kids had were plan, likely frozen. Fries — although home made I think — were consistently soggy. Good venue for music, coffee and beer, not food

I definitely think Dosey Doe is a cool place, but I am not extremely impressed. I’ve been here for shows as well as just hanging out in the café, and every time I come I feel as though the service is a little unorganized. It always seems like there are only a few people working at once. Although they deliver the food pretty quickly, I never can find my waiter. The atmosphere isn’t too bad. Usually very quiet in the evenings, so it’s definitely a great place to study and get work done. The music area is quite large, and it’s a great place to go with a big group. They also serve food/drinks during the music as well.(Note: the music room is seated, so you don’t just stand up, which is what I expected my first visit.) Food is bland, not a very large menu, and they definitely are not vegetarian friendly. They have some good desserts and pastry items to pair with coffee. But their coffee is also kind of flavorless and just average. Nothing to rave about.

Great acoustic music venue. So-so restaurant. Venue itself is tucked away in a small shopping center near Conroe. Inside is an eclectic mix somewhere between House of Blues and a Cracker Barrel. The concert room itself is small and intimate — maybe 100 max could fit inside — but only about 50 were there for our show. You sit at tables facing the stage and they serve you like a restaurant. Service was good and non-intrusive to the show. Maybe it was just a less crowded night, but the acoustics in this place were amazing. Could hear perfectly, no drowned out bass like in most places. It was a little awkward eating because in quiet parts of the songs, you can hear forks and plates clinging. But other times, it was just dead silent except for the vocals, almost haunting. On the downside, the food was expensive and pretty bland. They also charge for split orders which is always an annoyance. Beer selection had a couple local craft options — so that was nice. Though I was sad they didn’t have any Southern Star from right up the road. $ 6 pint is pricey for a restaurant, but cheap for a concert — and they bring it too you. So not too bad a deal on drinks all things considered. Would definitely come again for a show, but I would eat before and just get drinks here.

Lunch specials are no more. The new menu is significantly more expensive, at least 20% more for the items that remained on the menu from before. The new menu options do sound good, but I miss the ones that have been nixed more than I’m interested in the ones that have been added. I mean, steaks and chops are pretty easy to find. Antelope tacos are not. I’m not changing the star rating because I’m sure the food is still great, and I’ve had plenty of great visits before the most recent changes, but it’s too expensive for me to keep going. I may pick up some coffee in the morning, but that’s about it.

A Western type saloon/biker café where coffee seems to be their speciality but walking in you might think you walked into The Roadhouse. The«café» looked more like a honky-tonk and a place you might enjoy at night with a beer rather coffee in the morning. But we stayed hoping the raving reviews might change our initial thoughts. We came in for breakfast and we were seated in the concert area which is a big lofty space with a stage. If you’ve ever been to a dinner/show in Vegas you’ll remember the family-style seating where all the tables are stacked up next to each other. Well this place reminded me on one of those venues. Our table was wobbly, the room was dark, the music was loud and hardly a place to enjoy a rise and shine breakfast. The worse part was that we were surrounded by dirty un-bussed tables. We requested to be moved into the main cozier dining area where there was more light and less loud bar music. Service was very very slow and we spent almost an hour and 15 minutes in the restaurant that was very empty. The food was tasty, prices were reasonable, but ambiance and super duper slow service will not make me a regular.
