I absolutely love this place! The granola apple French toast is to die for(along with everything else) and the adorable coffee mugs are for sale. My new favorite place!

Found this place by local word of mouth. Did not disappoint. A little pricey I thought until I saw the portion size and the freshness of all the ingredients. The hash browns were unique with cheese and cream of chicken, more like yummy mashed potatoes. Best turkey sausage, well seasoned and not greasy at all. The Wheatwich breakfast sandwich was my choice, the Yolkwich with bacon my friends. Strong coffee in big mugs like I enjoy at home. Mary, our server, was a doll, very attentive. The only thing that didn’t make this a five was the rather Spartan sterile décor

If you want a home cooked breakfast for cheap, this is your place. My boyfriend & I are regulars at Cracker Barrel for breakfast and this place definitely blows CB out of the water. We each got the Two eggs breakfast deluxe. I got poached eggs(cooked perfectly), sausage, hash brown casserole & biscuit. He got same thing but with bacon. He LOVED the casserole. Personally, I thought it was way too cheesy & not crispy enough for hash browns but that’s just a preference — flavor was still delicious. I’ll definitely be visiting again!

When it comes to finding a place to have breakfast Toasted Yolk is the place to go! I would highly recommend trying their French Toast, our favorite! My wife and I always feel welcomed at this establishment. It’s not often you walk into an establishment and everyone is smiling and eager to serve. Jeremiah is an awesome server! We are always happy to have him as our server. He is on point when it comes to customer service; he’s always polite and smiling. He understands how particular we are, well my wife is, when it comes to how the food should look and taste. Therefore, he always goes above and beyond to make sure we are happy and full when we leave. Thank you for starting our mornings off right Toasted Yolk! With Gratitude, G and V Love

We have been wanting to try The Toasted Yolk and had breakfast. I had gravy and biscuits and it was a bland dish and barely warm. I should have sent it back to be microwaved hot. My friend had 3 large pancakes(nothing else came with it), for $ 8.49. She mistakenly didn’t look at the price. They were heavy and she didn’t finish. Who charges this high of price for a food that is so cheap to make? The ceiling fans were blowing on high which made it drafty and cold. No wonder the food got cold so fast. This café seems to have a following, but I won’t return.

I stopped by on a Saturday morning before the rush. The service was great and everyone was so friendly. The food was very good with about average prices. I ordered The Arnold AKA The Benedict. I always go for the classic ham, but they had salmon, Cajun turkey, and even chicken strips! I enjoyed mine, especially the hash brown casserole it came with. Oh, and the side of fruit, which always makes me feel better about my breakfast choice :) I enjoyed my meal and may even come back to see what they have for lunch.

Delicious! Our party of ten was seated in a private room quickly. Pablo was prompt, courteous, and worked hard to make sure we were comfortable. He made sure the kids were taken care of well and that we had everything we needed. Please get the churro style donuts, they are amazing! The food was spot on and really good. The hash brown casserole was crunchy on the outside and nice & creamy on the inside. Loved it, great food and service!

So for being from out of town, I rely on Unilocal to find good local eateries. The recommendation to come here was spot on. The Hash brown casserole was amazing. Our server Pablo was hands down one of the best waiters I have ever dealt with. Thanks again for all the places to go see and eat. We will definitely make sure to come here everytime we are in town…

For a few extra minutes from the interstate we found this place to be far more satisfying than the typical franchise breakfast places nearby. Great service, front of the house seems to keep everyone on point. No one waited more than a few seconds to place a drink order and tables were cleaned and reseated efficiently while also maintaining a friendly atmosphere. Food was simple but done well. We were both pleased with the ham and pork chops.

We have gone to both locations a few times. The food is consistent and service is good. We have only been here for breakfast. Our favorite is the donuts dusted in cinnamon and sugar served with a caramel sauce. The portions are large, expect to take home leftovers. Today, I had the Ham and eggs. This came out with 2 big slabs of ham grilled well. My eggs were scrambled but came out scrambled hard — I like mine light and fluffy. Still tasted good. The grits are creamy. I like they serve a side of fruit with most of their dishes. The fruit comes with a small cup of yogurt. The coffee here is good — not really bitter and goes down smooth. The scramblers are good — so much food! My husband likes to get his hashbrowns junkyard style. This takes the cheesy hashbrowns to a whole new level. Overall, this is a good breakfast joint with a variety of breakfast items sure to please everyone.

We tried the toasted yolk for the first time and i felt it was pretty good! Very cute place and friendly hostess. I ordered one of there eggs benedict dishes(they call them arnolds) i cant remember what it was called exactly but it had english muffin with the egg, tomato, cajun turkey and guacamole covered in a very good suce that almost tasted like warm ranch dressing it was very good. Served with there potato cassarole or hash and a small bowl of fruit. It was very tasty. Only complaint was that my food wasnt very hot. My husband had an omlet and my son had just the basic french toast. They both said it wa pretty good. Server wasnt the best but she wasnt to bad either. Kinda forgot about us after we got our food. The prices arent to bad for the place and what you get. I just wish my food was hotter. Im sorry i forgot to take pictures.

Thought we would give this a try, despite some of the bad reviews. They were spot on! We waited over 10 mins, when the hostess even said that there were open tables, for a party of two. Looking around at 1230pm there were no tables that even had food down. We sat at a sad table, has a plaque for a former patron. I tried the Alaskan Arnold(eggs Benedict with salmon and spinach). My eggs were underdone, the yoke was runny, there was also runny white in my eggs. I got the hash brown casserole, junk yard style(chile, cheese, onions and jalapeños). They were not my style at all. My boyfriend said they weren’t bad but I wasn’t expecting ballpark nacho cheese and all the other«junk» just slopped on top. My boyfriend got the pork chop breakfast. He enjoyed the pork chops but his side of sausage didn’t come out until later, the sausage also seemed underdone. He ordered an orange juice(ended up getting a small, and charged for a large). His eggs were over easy and they were okay. So all and all just over 40 dollars for under done eggs, under done sausage and over charged for orange juice. I was over all of it and just wanted to go. It didn’t help that all the tables around us had three to six children in their party, one little girl threw and orange peel at my boyfriend as well. It looked like a great place.

Food was«eggcelent!» I had the Toasted Yolk, their signature which was pretty tasty! Boyfriend tried their Southwest Arnold(a take on eggs Benedict) and it was a real show stopper! Their hashbrown casserole is delicious as well and their portions are big! The place wasn’t crazy busy, and our food got out to us pretty quickly, but then again we were also visiting on a Tuesday so it wasn’t really peak hours. The place is pretty small though, so I could see it having a pretty hefty weight on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Only downside was our waitress. She was friendly, but we’re pretty sure halfway through she forgot about us, and we had to wait quite awhile to get our check. Food was tasty though, so next time we have a slow morning we’ll definitely be back for more!

Was surprised I was disappointed in our visit, I was really looking forward to it. The prices seemed high but you do get a lot of food so that’s good. They are NOT flexible on substitutes, can’t even sub a veggie for a veggie in an omelette or a bread for a bread. The hashbrown casserole was a cheesy mushy mess, I couldn’t even eat it, but the others in our party liked it, so maybe it’s a preference thing. I was really looking forward to the Alaskan Benedict but was extremely disappointed. The poached eggs needed a few seconds longer, the egg whites were runny, also, the salmon to egg to sauce and bread ratio was off, the salmon was sliced too thickly. I gave it a three star because the service was good and I know other people like this restaurant, I don’t think we’ll be back.

Mixed review if you measure quality by weight then it would be a 5 star as the portions are large and heavy. Cowboy scramble was good French Toast was good Pancakes not good, tasted like cake batter and too heavy to butter or cut. Service was lacking — server never brought the donut appetizer we ordered and never came back to check on us so that we could return the pancakes until after most of us finished our meals. Thought was over priced for breakfast.

Great place for breakfast, lunch, or brunch! The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Their portions are large and reasonably priced! If you’re looking for a good breakfast that will fill you up for the day, this is a great place!

AMAZING!!! Who would have thought breakfast/brunch could taste so good?! After reading some of the reviews, we started with mimosas and the donut appetizer! The warm donuts with caramel dipping sauce were to die for! For my entrée I had ‘The Arnold’.(Essentially Eggs Benedict). But instead of using traditional English muffins, they make their own. Soooo delicious! My fiancé had the California Club! Again it was amazing! The side of fresh fruit that comes with your meal has a homemade fruit dipping sauce that is out of this world! You will never want to go to an IHOP or Cracker Barrel ever again because this is the only place you’ll ever want to have breakfast from again! Trust me!

This is a must eat in Conroe! The food is always fresh and everything I’ve tried has been really good. You have a wait during peak hours or weekends, but the service is great and the food is worth the wait.

Thanks to all the Unilocal reviews we decided to give this place a try. We were not disappointed. You must first start with doughnut appetizers, amazingly warm and sweet with cinnamon and caramel dipping sauce. Little taste of heaven in your mouth. I had the Philly scramble, four eggs with meat and veggies and cheese hashbrowns casserole a must as the other reviewers have already stated the bacon is amazing Service was top-notch quick and efficient no complaints we will be back

On our way back from my niece’s graduation in Dallas we were passing through Conroe around lunchtime and wanted something different so I «yelped» for places that served brunch and this place popped up with a ton of reviews and most of them pretty good! So based upon the reviews my family opted to try it out and we were not disappointed. As stated in previous reviews the customer service was very good and the servers were attentive and polite. The menu options were many and we decided to go for the sandwiches and were pleasantly surprised at the portion sizes and the taste. Actually 2 can split as the portion sizes are very generous! All in all a great experience! If we were passing through again I would definitely try this place and next time the breakfast choices! Set in a nice shopping center… parking is plentiful and the décor is nice and contemporary and hip! The pace was hopping during lunch and the staff had smiles on their faces and a spring in their steps! Give it a try if you’re ever in the Conroe area. You won’t be disappointed.
