Well let me start by saying it was the day before Thanksgiving so many people where out buying dinner so the place was semi busy. Everyone seemed friendly. I ordered a 20 piece meal i found a coupon for. I then ordered an extra side of okra. It was about a ten minute wait. They also said they were out of wings and asked what i would want to sub for them. They gave me breasts in place which i thought was more than fair. I got my order and before leaving i asked if they remembered my okra and she said yes. Upon arriving home i noticed i didnt get my frys. I went all the way back and they gave me the frys. Taste wise this is the first time i have been here so i would say the chicken was good and moist. The crust lacked a bit of flavor but i did notice seasoning on each table when i was waiting. I would not suggest the mac and cheese it sucked. Okra, coleslaw and the fries where good though. They tea was also good.

Mashed potatoes always taste weird. And the sweet tea always tastes like it’s been sitting out for hours. Chicken is ok. To be honest if you want fried chicken the only place that does it right is Chicken Express.

Bush’s chicken is way better than KFC, Popeye’s or Church’s. I love it! Their only drawback is that their food is a little pricey. Best fast food fried chicken I’ve had and I’ve been back many times.

Horrible. Ordered a family pack– which is pricey. Got hard, overdone chicken. Corn that was tasteless. Old, hard rolls. Gravy was bland. Couldn’t even feed the chicken to my child because it was so hard. Waste of money and time.

This is the best chicken place in it’s category. It blows Popeyes, KFC, and churches out of the water. Chicken strips are where it’s at, Mac and cheese goes hard as well.

My sister and I came in 20 minutes until closing time and we were served hot/fresh food! A lot of places roll their eyes when they see someone come in near closing time but we were greeted with a kind welcome and warm smile! It really means a lot to be served freshly made french fries and sweet tea that doesn’t need water to dilute the sweetness. The fried chicken was pretty good, I feel it lacked seasoning and wish it had more flavor. The rolls are huge and fluffy with a sweet taste. I’ve only tried the fried chicken and tenders but I’m sure everything else is great. Bush’s isn’t my go-to fried chicken joint but it definitely hits the spot! Management and staff are awesome here!

Place is good eating. There chicken is fresh not seating that long on the shelf. A little more pricer then bill miller but that’s ok. Gizzards also good, not heavy breaded like other places. The best thing to me is there tea.

I can’t believe we had never tried Bush’s chicken before now. We recently moved to Converse and we have already been three times. I guess we are making up for lost time. The chicken tenders are so good and TENDER. The mashed potatoes and gravy are a perfect dip for those tenders. The rolls are a big hit with the family as well. We purchased a gallon of sweet tea but could not drink it because it was WAYTOOSWEET. They should call it liquid diabetes!

If you’ve been to one Bush’s Chicken, you’ve been to them all. Everything is fried and affordable. I always get the chicken strips with rolls and fries. Nothing spectacular but it’s cheap and good. I throw some hot sauce on to kick things up. I go to this location because it is near work. But, more importantly, they are always welcoming and friendly to me. That is a rarity in a fast food joint. That is also enough for me to keep coming back(even if my waistline objects).

Their fried chicken strips are YUMYUM :) This place is next to Bill Millers and even though BM is one on my fav eateries when it comes to fried chicken, strips and rolls, I think Bush’s takes the cake when it comes to these items. Always FRESH, and great flavor, I am a condiment MUST and these strips don’t even need ketchup! Fries are not the greatest, so I am not a fan, but the main dish makes it worth it. I def recommend this place for some good olé fashion country goodies.

I love this place so much even I don’t understand it. Extra large fried chicken makes Church’s look like they are serving quail in comparing. Flavorful unique stands on it’s own. The sweet tea sold by the gallon or cup so fresh tasting you understand why they sell it by the gallon(you know I had to take one with me) So Good!!! People told me it was to expensive but when you are buying it the size is so big it’s like 2 – 3 pieces from Church’s.
