The unfriendliness of the customer service person in lumber who was text on his cell phone was extremely disheartening. I normally go to the Blaine store or Forest Lake store and have never experience this type of «attitude». 5.15 pm on the 14th of December 2015. I have been a Home Depot shopper for many years. I guess if I had to deal with this store, there is a Menards up the street which I am going to right now. Sincerely, Scott

I was actually in Coon Rapids visiting and my Dad and I went in here to pick up a hedge trimmer. I was totally appalled at the customer service and I swear I think the manager who got called up was slurring like he had put a few away that evening. Needless to say, none of our issues were resolved and we left unhappy.

5 weeks ago today, we went in to order laminate counter tops. The person who helped us was less than efficient and we were sitting for a solid hour ordering three very basic pieces that we were going to install ourselves. We paid for the pieces, were told 2 weeks for delivery and we would get a call when they were ready. Two and a half weeks later… no phone call. I call the store, speak to the person who ordered the counter tops for us. She told me she would leave a message for Karen(someone in charge of special orders?) to call us back the next time she worked. Karen called two days after she said she would and left a message saying the color that we ordered was not one the manufacturer kept in stock and generally took 3 – 4 weeks to process and should be delivered the following week. One week later… no phone call. I call again and speak to Karen. She says she will call the manufacturer and call me back for an estimate of when they will be done. Never called back. A few days later… my husband and I were in the store purchasing some garden products and visited the counter top department and spoke to someone we had not met before. She said in our chart there was a note to call us(yet we never received that call) and they were supposed to be on the truck the following Monday(we were told this on a Saturday. The following Monday… I never receive a phone call about the counter tops. I call the store, Karen is not in, they say they will leave a message for her to call me. I never received a call. Wednesday this same week… the manufacturer calls me, says counter tops will be delivered Thursday evening between 6 and 8pm. We confirm this time works for us. Thursday evening, 8:15pm. Delivery company calls and says they are running late(hmm, couldn’t have figured that one out on my own) and says they should be there around 9pm. 9:15pm an unmarked pickup truck pulls up to our house with our counter tops. But wait, we ordered three pieces and they only had 2. Delivery driver says he will have the piece to us by 5pm Friday. We put the counter tops in our garage temporarily to check out the color. It is horrible. We have the sample we ordered from and while the color is a match, the pattern is an odd, mosaic pattern that looks horrible. We call Home Depot and speak to someone in the counter top department who says Karen will call us first thing in the morning. Friday morning 11am — still no call from Karen. My husband calls the store and finally gets in touch with her to explain our situation. He tells her to notify the manufacturing company that we will be returning these counter tops and they do not need to deliver the third piece. Karen says she will call him back to discuss our options for ordering new counter tops. 4:30pm — no call from Karen. I call the store because I got off work and Karen has left for the day, never to have called my husband back. I talk to a manager named Kris(female) who apologizes for our problems, says she will call be back within 90 minutes after she speaks to Karen about the incident. I also told her I wasn’t sure if Karen called the manufacturer to tell them not to bring us the third piece, but to make sure they don’t, she says she will handle it. 6:30pm — Manufacturer calls us to say they are about 30 minutes away and will be dropping off the third piece soon. Clearly, Karen nor Kris never took the time to pick up the phone and tell them they didn’t need to bring the piece to our home.(Additionally, and this is just our personal belief, the piece was never made and they made it quickly that day because they forgot or it was never ordered properly.) Either way, I told the guy that he did not need to deliver the last piece because we were not going to be keeping these counter tops. 7pm — no call from Kris. I call the store AGAIN and Kris has left for the day. I speak to Tom(or Tim, can’t quite remember) and tell him the situation. He says he will call me back after he speaks to Kris. I tell him I have lost count of the number of Home Depot employees who have promised to call back but never did. He swears he will call back within 30 minutes. 7:10pm — Tom calls back and tells us Kris was trying to arrange someone to pick up our counter tops for us(even though the other person I spoke to originally said Kris was gone for the day so I’m not sure how this was possible) and that someone could come Monday to pick them up and our refund could not be processed until then. I ask if we can bring them in ourselves so that we can get our refund sooner, he said yes and that there is a note in our file to give us the refund without any issues. Saturday at the store(the day I am writing this) we go in to return the counter tops. This process took over 20 minutes and three calls to management. We will NEVER be returning and I recommend you don’t go there, either.

I’ve been to this location many times and each time only validates the poor quality of customer service. The employees are rude, not very knowledgeable and if you call, expect to be put on hold for a long time to eventually be hung up on. The only good thing I have experienced there is the rental portion. The guy who works there is very helpful and nice.
