I had the best experience at this little diner. Walked in on a sunday morning and was given a «Patsy Cline» waiting card and said it would be about a 15 min wait. there were a lot of people in the little waiting room so I wasn’t sure about the«15 min». But sure enough they seated us about that time. I met some friends here with their little one. They had just about everything you could ever want for a diner. Lunch and breakfast menu readily available at any time. I have been on a health wagon recently so I needed something that would suffice for breakfast and lunch but not over do it on the calories. The lovely waitress whom I wish I had her name kindly mentioned the«protein pancake» made with yogurt, egg whites and oatmeal. It was actually to die for! Very moist and one huge pancake did it for me. With a side of sausage that was too large for me as a two big patty side dish. Very good food and even better service. I will definitely be back!

If you are in the area and need breakfast dont go nowhere else the best around the hobo omlette was off the chain the place itself extremely clean and the ambiance of it was like stepping back in the 50s the price is good too no more expensive than ihop or dennys

New location is nice and clean. We had to wait though for about 30 mins so be prepared. This place gets packed. The food is great. The service is also spot on. What a wonderful addition to our Coppell downtown!

Never been impressed with this place. Hash browns are always undercooked, still has tge cruch ofcraw potato. Bacon, asked for crispy. I had to let get cold to get the crispy. I have been through here a few times but each time, same disappointment.

Cute, pristine 80s copy of a 50s diner. Sparklingly clean and well-lit(maybe a teensie bit too well-lit). The staff is excellent: prompt and friendly. The pancakes were excellent, and if that and eggs were all I’d had I’d probably be giving them 5 stars. Sadly, the home fries seemed like pre-fab potato squares that hadn’t been cooked long enough. The bacon was likewise floppy and chewy. The coffee was odd. It tasted more like muddy tea. There are so many great reviews of this place, I’ll probably try them again some time for lunch. If I return for breakfast, I’ll be sticking with the pancakes and eggs.

Adorable throw back, charmingly decorated, sweet spot for brekky within walking distance of the Coppell Farmer’s Market. Reasonably priced and a great assortment of morning goodness to get your day started too. Especially liked that they leave an insulated craft of coffee rather than waiting for someone to stop by and refill your morning Jo — and they do check on you regularly but the craft is great. On a side note, if not a fan of the tiny creams and prefer fresh milk, they’ll bring some to the table, no charge. Food was served hot, fresh and quick but expect a line, I don’t think this gem is a best kept secret any longer!

Wow. This place is a hidden gem! Great breakfast food, comfort food, amazing sweet tea, and all at a really good price. One of my favorite places to eat at in dfw. I wish they were open for dinner!

Doesn’t deserve even 1 star, but I cannot post without rating. I will neverrrr go back to this place. I sat at the counter and saw 2 servers touch food with bare hands. One server transferred hamburger from one plate to another with bare hands. Then he transferred 2 slices of toast from one plate to another. After I saw the first server do it twice back to back, I immediately reported it the Manager. The Manager said he talked to the server and he thanked me for bringing it to his attention. The mgr shower me the paper sheets the servers are supposed to use when handling food. The box of paper sheets was within reach on the counter. A few minutes later, I saw another server put the fresh cherry on the sundae with bare fingers. I immediately told the Manager and this time I said that something is clearly wrong here and this is not acceptable. He didn’t respond and a few minutes later I saw him put a pair of thongs on top of the plastic container the cherries are in.

Warning… The service is very slow so be prepared to spend more than an hour in here. The food is very good. They serve toast which is not good at all, and cold. For a diner I was expecting a roll or cornbread, but they don’t even have it. I have no complaints about the rest of the food.

I really enjoyed my breakfast at Local Diner in Coppell and plan to visit again soon. The first thing I noticed was how clean the restaurant is and the décor has an old diner look. I ordered the French Toast Plate and it was very good. The bacon was perfect, fully cooked and crispy, but not over cooked. There was a large menu to choose from of both breakfast and lunch items. The service was polite and quick. I will be back to try a lunch menu item.

A classic diner breakfast spot in the heart of downtown Coppell. Going here always gives me the small hometown feel. This morning I had the Texan, an egg platter with bacon, sausage, cheese and potatoes. I opted to add red onions and had my egg cooked over easy. This is one of my favorite things to get when I come here. The mixture of all the ingredients is wonderful and so filling. This is an entrée that you could definitely share. The service is always great and the servers are always friendly and make you feel like your a regular. If your looking for a good diner, breakfast place in a small town this is one of the best places to go.

The service is not so great. The food is nothing special. I was excited to try a local place since I am a coppell native, but it was not my cup of tea. How do you mess up scrambled eggs? If you’re looking for a local place with awesome breakfast, go to Coppell Deli 2 steps away and get a Stubbs.

Decent diner with good breakfast. I like the location. It feels small town. The portions were normal to medium size. Enjoyed the food. My only complaint is that the server made it seem like I was over ordering when I added a side of grits and sausage. Not cool. Also, there was a 25 minute wait, but it was a Sunday after church.

Lived in NJ forever and I know great diners. This is one of them! Tasty food, friendly & prompt service, Elvis & Marilyn on the walls — what more could you ask for? When you come here for business, skip the free motel breakfast one day. Local Diner is worth the visit!

I love supporting local eateries and that’s exactly what this spot is! It’s a lovely diner located in the heart of historic downtown Coppell. Which… really there’s not much to look at in the area but if you just so happen to be around this would be a great breakfast stop before you hit up the Farmer’s Market. The waitress was so friendly with southern hospitality, calling me ‘honey’ and ‘sweetie’ – yes I do like the terms of endearment. Anyway I’ve tried the protein pancakes which are made with gluten free oats and egg whites. So hearty! I can get full just off of eating half. Crispy bacon. Yummy egg dishes and omelets. Just a laid back casual atmosphere and you can come here by yourself and feel just as comfortable.
