Fun little place for great sushi in the burbs. Have enjoyed it every time we’ve come. Friendly owner and staff and great food.

Love this place! Little place tucked away in a shopping center but it’s a hidden gem! I’m so happy we found this place only a few minutes away from our house. Tuesdays they have half priced sake and Wednesday Is half priced apps and dessert!

Ok, I finally got around to giving Mua another try. I got two different rolls than before — the Dallas roll(shrimp tempura, cream cheese, cucumber, and crab meat on top) and the Texas Louisiana(crawfish, cream cheese, jalapeño, crab meat, and the whole roll is deep fried). I was really in the mood for a crunchy sushi roll, and the Texas Louisiana definitely gave me that. However, I now know I am NOT a fan of deep fried sushi rolls, lol. But, I must say, if you like jalapeño poppers, this is your sushi roll! It totally gave me jalapeño popper right from the jump! But after the first bite, I basically just ate the inside of the rest of the roll leaving the deep fried batter in the container. And it made me sad because all the rice was glued to the batter. :-( For the Dallas roll, the cream cheese was too much for me. It overwhelmed the roll and drowned out most of the other flavors. I really enjoy shrimp tempura rolls, but after the first couple bites, I had to scoop out all the cream cheese, lol. I couldnt get past it. And I like cream cheese, but apparently not in my sushi rolls. This roll was really delicious after the cream cheese was scooped out. So, all that to say, neither of the rolls were bad, they’re just not MY type of hype. I would NOT get the Texas Louisiana again, but I would definitely try the Dallas roll again, ordered without cream cheese. Also I love the customer service here! They greet you as soon as you walk in the door, and the young lady that takes my order and checks me out is alway so nice. Also, the environment is calm and relaxing. And the wait for to-go is never very long.

Mua Sushi has amazing Bento boxes, and the Salmon sashimi will melt in your mouth. The Sushi Chef and Owner has a great personality. It’s always a joy to struck up a conversation while watching the food being prepared in front of you. Make sure you take the time to say Hi.

Owner is nice and definitely delivered the«warm and inviting,» feel to his restaurant. The food is delicious and the employees are prompt and always checking in with customers. My wife and I love it!

Sushi is fresh and wonderful. Small place and can get busy fast if you sit at the sushi bar chefs are friendly and will chat. Portions are good and you can always ask to have something made . This place has changed hands over the years and it is good to see that this place is lasting. Food is always good quality and not bad prices

Awesome food. Ordered calamari tempura and the yellow submarine for dinner. Calamari was good but a bit too greasy for my taste. The yellow submarine combination of salmon, avocado, mango, soy paper top with white tuna and mango sauce… delicious. Although it needed a touch of saltiness which was quickly fixed with a little bit of soy sauce. Fresh fish, good service. Reasonable prices. Nice find.

I’ve tried to like this place, but it just wasn’t meant to be. They always seem understaffed and getting seated can be tough. The sushi and sashimi is average at best. They cut the sashimi thinner than most places. Service is just ok and have had the wrong order brought to me once, only to have the chef kinda argue with me. I need to find another place for my sushi fix.

Walking in my immediate thought was of the places designed to address the business lunch crowd, designed for expedience not so much the experience of eating sushi. Decent sake list and they were out of uni. I was bummed. :(Decided to go with the classics with our group of four heavy on the sashimi and have to say, pleasantly surprised and loved the flavors and presentation. I was particularly intrigued with the salmon skin and the way it was served with naked skin on the side of rolls. Loved it! We had a great time and dinner was delicious!

I went here for lunch yesterday and was very pleased with my experience. The rolls were fresh and well made, with a nice presentation. The place was clean and not packed, but I was also told Mondays are their slowest days for lunch. The service was ok, but I think my waiter was pretty new, too. I would definitely come here again for lunch.

So glad I gave this place a try with my friend! He recommended it and I was hesitant because I’ve yet to find a good sushi restaurant in the Irving area. Though this is in Coppell, it’s only about 15 min from my apartment and is definitely worth the drive!(That’s close enough to Irving.) When people say«this sushi place is awesome!», I still have my doubts because I’ve been disappointed before by rave reviews; this place however, proved me wrong. We first started out with the avocado bomb appetizer. This is a must try for sure, especially those who love avocados as much as I do, then we ordered a few rolls but the ones who stood out most to me and I will absolutely order again on my next visit were the Cowboy Roll and Cherry Blossom Roll! The Cowboy Roll has chopped calamari with crab meat atop the roll and the Cherry Blossom has mango rolled in it along with this mango sauce that makes it so refreshing! Do yourself a favor and give this place a try like I did. The food is above mediocre and everyone who works there is super friendly as well.

All I can say is yes! This place is small and the service is very personalized. The wait staff is attentive without being overbearing. They are quite knowledgable of everything on the menu. The quality of the sushi was outstanding. This is sure to become my local hole in the wall sushi spot!

Loved the friendly smiles and fast service! They exceeded my expectations on taste of the sushi and the miso soup was perfect!!! The décor was very warm and inviting although the place was very small but the size wasn’t a set back. Will be back!!!

Went to this sushi restaurant after a friend’s recommendation and its rating. Bad choice for a Friday family night out. Real disappointment. Upon entering, this sushi house emits a gleam of cosy pub feeling due to its deem lightings. We stood at entrance, server shouted across, free seating! So we chose a place, sat down. No server, no menu for 5 minutes. We were staring at each other with a slight let down on the services. Only when we kept looking at the male server who happened to walk past, hinted him there’s a table needed some serving. Menu were subsequently provided. Ordered California, spicy tuna and spider roll sushi. Guess what? Kids got no plate and utensil. Food arrived after 10 mins, still kids got nothing. WTF? I asked the asian female server for kids spoon. She looked at the kids, really just came with spoons only. I asked her politely, there are no plates. She gave a rude attitude, turned and walked away. OMFGWTF? She did returned with plates but no smile on her from the start we entered. I believe there is something call customer satisfactory. Well, she score full marks… pissing customer off. Food — spider roll is disappointing. My worst sushi so far for a sushi lover. MEATITSNOTFRESH! loved the sushi rice tho. but $ 9 bucks for rice roll??? No thanks. I could get a 10kg rice for that price. California roll, the crab meat are soggy, bet its gonna turn stale real soon. Spicy tuna — average. Not that bad compared to the 2. Overall, poor. I gave a star cos its environment, menu presentation and average spicy tuna. Or else, it would easily go 0 without a doubt.

So I’ve been scoping out sushi spots in Coppell and I finally think I’ve nailed a good one. Talk about a neighborhood gem! This spot is up towards the top of my list when it comes to fresh sushi places in the DFW area. The friendly sushi chef will immediately greet you when you come through the door. It’s a small but intimate and charming atmosphere. Sit at the bar for extra special treatment. Beautiful sushi and presentation to go along with it. I very much enjoyed my spicy tuna and cajun rolls. There are so many specialty rolls as well as traditional. Definitely come check out this place or take it to go! I am already planning my next trip back… probably this week!

The atmosphere is nice. The owner and executive chef is very very nice. I wish him all the best. And I will definitely be back because of how convenient the location is. The food is mediocre. It’s not bad, but nothing special. The caterpillar roll I ordered would benefit from having larger pieces of eel. The cucumber salad was nice.
