Smashburger

Went here for the first time today. I asked for it to go and they brought it out for dine in when I told the manager/​supervisor guy he seemed pissy about having to take it to the window and have the cook wrap it up. The burger and fries were great though. Expensive for a burger place. My combo was $ 11.

Disappointed too many times!
I love the BBQ jalapeño burger when it is done right.
BUT every aspect of tonight’s visit was done wrong, and I am very disappointed.
From, the disgruntled order taking, to the fruit flys in the water lemons. My burger was burnt. I think because this was the second time it was cooked. Fries appeared to have been reheated. I watched the order taker eating in the kitchen. The whole place smelled like toilet cleaner. I’m absolutely done with this place.
Shut it down and let’s get a local business that not only deserves your money, but also employs local workers that care.

For 6 months or so, we were visiting this Smashburger in Coppell about once a week. We tried a number of different burgers, and found that they were generally fresh-​tasting, and pretty good. Sometimes the burger assembly seemed hap-​hazard and a little sloppy.
On a couple of occasions, I ordered bacon cheeseburgers, and there was very little bacon.
We thought the prices were too high, and the portions of fries chintzy. Several times, the onion rings came out basically burnt.
The atmosphere is busy, loud, and crowded.
I’m glad we decided to try Mooyah Burger across the street. That has become our burger go-​to. Probably won’t visit Smashburger again unless there are coupons or something to reduce the cost.
They may be focusing too much on the «smashing of the burgers» than delivery of reasonably priced, high-​quality food.
If you’re looking for a «boutique-​burger-​joint», you might find that you like it.

Really good burgers! I really like that you can add a fried egg to it! I personally don’t care for the smash fries but a lot of people really like them. I order the regular fries but please note that 1 order of fries can feed a family of 4!!! My favorite fast food burger. Kids’ favorite too!

Was great when it opened, but went downhill fast. This location is now horrible.
Quality is very bad, service is poor, orders are always jacked up.
Just look at what a miserable bacon cheese burger they make looks like (see attached photo). Should not even be called a bacon cheese burger if you only put a few partial pieces of bacon on the cheese.

Been meaning to try this place since I’ve heard so many good things about it. Finally gave it a shot since they had a BOGO promotion going on.
Was highly dissapointed. My boyfriend ordered the bacon cheese burger while I ordered the crispy chicken club sandwich along with regular fries and smash fries.
Bacon cheeseburger was bland and mediocre while the chicken sandwich tasted like one of those Tyson freezer chicken patties. Just nothing stood out for me. The fries were along the same lines… I guess they tried to have their signature fries like many others (truffle fries, kimchi fries, etc)… Their smash fries were overpowered with rosemary and nothing else.
Spent $ 13 total with the promo. Will not be returning. This burger joint is nowhere close in competition with the others.

This place used to be great; it had great food, great staff, etc., but the service has gone down hill as of late. The staff argue amongst each other, food isn’t as good as it used to be, and it just isn’t as good as an environment. Some staff are not friendly towards customers.

This is my second trip to smashburger. I really enjoyed the burger at the Addison location. But was very disappointed with the food in Coppell. The burgers were dry and lacked taste. The sweet potato fries lacked flavor. The only thing I liked was the regular fries and the service was pretty good. It smelled like mildew inside though.

The burger I picked up was raw in the middle; I emailed the company to complain and never received a response. Takes forever to order at this location too.

I keep pulling for these guys, but seem to be let down more than happy. Last week the chicken strips looked like they had been in a oven for hours, and the onion rings were burnt beyond recognition.
Today, there seemed to be a lot of fighting amongst the workers, including getting my order wrong and then arguing whose fault it was, then proclaiming loudly that it was NOT the kitchen’s fault.
It was a very uncomfortable place to be tonight, and I was only there for a to go order.
Here’s hoping you guys will figure it out, otherwise the new burger joint coming will take all the business.

Not really sure why I love Smashburger so much, maybe it is the dry powder they put on their french fries, yes that is most definitely it! We visit this location for lunch fairly often, they are quick and get us in and out. Love that part too.

This was our very first experience eating at Smashburger. The burgers my husband and I ate was great. My daughter also loved her chicken sandwich. The fries were a bit old it was easy to tell that they had been sitting there for a while. The poor kid on the cash register was very busy with taking orders and delivering food to the tables so service was slow however he did apologize for the slow service when he delivered our food.
Would we come back? Yes. We loved the sandwiches and feel that the fries were probably just the way they were because they were busy. I look forward to giving this place another chance the burgers were that good. :)

The food here was great and so was the service. It was pretty cheap for the overall experience. I’d highly recommend a visit for any burger fan.
They’re also military friendly which is a great plus for the business.

Someone recommended me to eat out at Smashburger! Aaand this place really is smashing and whooping sumptuous with their burgers! I had no frustrations at all. The staff has all the time to give my orders and other favors like the extra mayo I asked for my niece’s sandwich. The onion rings is another dish that’s perfectly cooked and served by the friendly staff.
What’s nice about Smashburger’s patties is that they are very juicy and seasoned thoroughly. You know that the person who prepared it loves the job of making a customer’s stomach full.

First time to try this place. I got the Windy City burger after being recommended by the person at the cashier and sweet potato smash fries. These were good! Pretzel bun and onion rings were cooked perfectly with the right crispness. The patty wasn’t dry and was seasoned very well and not overpowering as well as the fries.
Definitely coming back to try out the other burgers and to have more of that fries! Hope they had some sriracha mayo though!

Hello my name is Slave i would give this place 5 stars but my vegetables fell out of my sandwich and i panicked. Then i immediately thought this was fate. I figured my burger was calling me fat. Then i replaced my vegetables in the sandwich and continued eating it was delicious.

Sweet potato fries! They have the good ones here. I also dig the veggie burger… I like to get that every time I come here. You can customize your burger and get various types of cheese, veggies, and buns. Great spot to just grab a quick bite to go!

Yum smashburger is awesome. I didn’t know if they had anything for me to eat at first but hey also have grilled chicken! They can also make any burgers with lettuce instead of the bun. My favorite is the baja because I love spices and guacamole! Their veggie frites are also yummy but of course fries or sweet potato fries are top notch as well. You can also find coupons online for them, $ 2 off a $ 5 total!

I didn’t expect much when I came here because a lot of these Smashburgers are popping up everywhere. My impression was that, they were overrated. So glad they proved me wrong!
Boyfriend and I came here for lunch on a Friday. Of course it was busy. They worked the crowd pretty fast though so don’t be afraid to come for food to go during lunch. You’ll make it back on time! I had the spicy baja burger, single patty with fresh jalapeño, onion, lettuce, tomato, spicy chipotle mayo, pepper jack, and guacamole. That’s a lot of stuff on the burger huh? it was delicious!!! :) boyfriend got the Jalapeño BBQ and he loved his, too. We are both fans of sweet potato fries… this can be a hit or miss because they can get pretty soggy. I hate soggy sweet potato fries!!! Smashburger somehow found a way to make them crunchy! They go great with the chipotle spicy mayo that was on my burger. I wiped down the excess sauce dripping from my burger with fries… you are a smart cookie, Cat!!!
