Great drink specials 5 dollar martinis on Mondays & half off wine on Wednesdays. The food is really good, must try the ribs with coleslaw & cookie skillet for dessert ! Great service

I came here for brunch and had the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. It was a pretty large portion, so beware if you eat like a bird! We also had the southwestern salad, which wasn’t on the brunch menu, but they catered to us anyway. The salad was fresh and so well mixed, that you got all the toppings in each bite. The kids menu had great options. We ordered a salmon with mac and cheese for my daughter. She’s a picky eater and she actually ate everything(with the help of mommy lol.) The service was great. They filled our cups with water before we ran out, and checked on how we were doing from time to time. I would love to come here again.

Last night it was cold in Miami so we sat outside by the fire. It was a great setting! If you’re reading this and looking for a nice setting to enjoy this week of winter in Miami, go to Bricktops! We had the French onion soup, Ahi tuna steak, and the filet mignon. All were delicious! I substituted the stir fry veggies for the kale quinoa salad which was huge and so tasty! We shared a bottle of wine for a great price and had the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream for dessert! It was great!

So went to try out Bricktops because I had read some good reviews about the place. It did not disappoint. Appetizer: Deviled Eggs with Candied Bacon This appetizer was awesome! They bring it with hot sauce to add to the eggs and it really adds a nice touch to an already tasty app. The candied bacon is 10 out of 10!!! Dinner: Churrasco w/Fries The churrasco(albeit it small sliced portion) was nice and tender. It had great flavor and the homeade sauce on top(chimichurri sauce) is fantastic. The sweet potato fries are thinly sliced and crispy. It also bring a honey mustard dipping sauce. Dessert: N/A we were full and unable to order desert, but i had seen a couple tables with the Cookie with ice cream on top dessert that would have been a no brainer had we wanted to order one. Drinks: Wine and Lemonade I had(2) glasses of the cab from Napa Valley that was fantastic. it was $ 11/glass and paired well. My wife had lemonade(she’s pregnant) and said it was much better than a typical Minute made lemonade. Summary: Bricktops on Ponce I felt it was a nice place for dinner or happy hour as the bar area looked large and was lively. Some complain that its too loud. I will agree it was somewhat loud, but not anything to deter you from coming here. They also have an outdoor area that looked like it could be really nice with matching weather. I will come back in the future. I would have given 5 Stars, but the portion size of the steak was a little small.

Second time at this contemporary american restaurant. Located in the heart of Coral Gables, perfect spot for lunch during working hours. You need to drop in before noon otherwise it gets crowded. I ordered the fish tacos with cole slaw. Portions were good and delicious. They serve you a big chunk of fish, avocado and cilantro in two soft tacos. The staff is friendly and service is excellent!

One of our favorite watering holes with daily specials, professional service and reasonable prices for an upscale bar and restaurant. Plus it is within walking distance from home.

Both times I’ve come here, I’ve been extremely impressed with not only the service, but the professionalism in which everything was conducted. This is all considering that both times I dined, I was with large parties, so I feel that says a lot right off the bat. I have to say, the star of the menu is the crab cakes and the filet mignon. The crab cakes are filled with huge chunks of crabmeat, and not much else(awesome!) and the filet was so flavourful. Do they sear it in bacon fat or what, it had a delightfully porky flavour to it! My only disappointment was the coleslaw which was served with the crab cakes. I didnt find it to be particularly memorable or worthy of accompanying such a great crab cake. The sweetness was far to much. The cookie desert however… WOW! We shared one for the table, and polished it off in like a minute. The cookie was delightfully salty, and when paired with the sauces and ice cream, it left an amazing combination of flavour in your mouth. Definitely try this restaurant, and sit outside if you can. They have a lovely open fire which sets a nice glow to the outdoor seating area.

Decided to brunch at brick tops today. Our server Bella was fantastic! Every recommendation was spot on. Started w/2 Old Fashions that came out less than perfect. She quickly rounded up our drink and came back with two perfect old fashions that turned into 4& almost turned into dinner time … We had gables style bistec a caballo«steak and eggs’ and ahi tuna w/quinoa. Both were great. Next time unlimited bloody mary’s and blood orange mimosas. Do yourself a favor and brunch at Bricktop’s and don’t forget to ask for Bella.

BrickTop’s is one of my favorite restaurants in the Miracle Mile/Coral Gables area. They have by far the best fig pizza and bacon. Every time I go with my coworker’s we have to get extra side orders of the bacon. It’s not your average bacon. For entrée I love the Parmesan crusted chicken with mash potatoes. The chicken is lightly battered and oh so good. The mash potatoes are finger lickin good! Another of my favorites is the Churrasco Steak and sweet potato fries. We always come in large parties during lunch time and the service never disappoints. I can’t wait for the next bday celebration to tear up the menu once again.

Came here because you can sit outside which is unusual in Coral Gables. I ordered the Niciois Salad which was the most bizarre presentation I have ever seen. The lettuce was charred and the tuna was swimming in peanut dressing. Yuck. I sent it back. Bryan had a chicken sandwich that he liked but was pretty greasy. Service was fast to take our order than disappeared for the rest of the service. Would I go back? Not any time soon Came back today for a working brunch. Had to send my filet back because it was cold and salty. But when it came back it was A-mazing. Service by Selena was excellent and we got a lot of work done– sitting outside and enjoying the weather.

I came here with my girlfriend for the Miami Spice lunch. We were off to a bad start when the waitress didn’t know what Celiac’s disease was and didn’t know what gluten-free options were available. For appetizers, I had the tempura shrimp and my girlfriend had the millionaire’s deviled eggs. They were both exquisite, but could have been warmer. They were almost room temperature, but both delicious. For entrees, my girlfriend had the fish tacos and I had the parmesan-crusted chicken. The fish tacos were deplorable. Cold and not well seasoned. The tortillas were cold, and the toppings were lackluster. I think Denny’s makes better fish tacos. My chicken was also very basic. Cold and not very flavorful at all. The mashed potatoes may have been the highlight in a very bad entrée. For a restaurant at this price point with a nice location in a nice area, I was expecting a lot more. I think next time I would like some American food, I’ll just go to Picadilly or Boston Market, and you should probably do the same.

In my opinion brick tops is a more casual version of houstons ‘s /hillstones. I’ve been here several times. Lunch, brunch, dinner and happy hour. They have excellent happy hour specials. The food is delicious. I really like the deviled eggs and the sushi is delicious. They have nice wine selections. The burger is good. Not as good as hillstones but still quite good. The French Fries are quite good and the fresh baked cookie a la mode is out of this world. I do feel that it’s quite loud and would love for the acoustic to be better managed. On the flip side, it’s lively. Very pretty bathrooms and I appreciate the swinging door. No germs on my hands :)

Great food and menu variety earn Bricktops four stars, but the atmosphere is a little in-between, as if it can’t decide to be upscale or casual. Bricktops was pitched to me as a «more casual, less expensive Hillstone,» which it kind of is. Some of the dishes are exact replicas, like the spinach dip or Thai salad. However, I was pleased to find that Bricktops has some unique dishes of its own. We ordered the short rib tacos and firecracker sushi roll to start. The tacos come in threes, adorably clinched shut with mini clothes pins. The beef is tasty and tender, but not heavily seasoned so you really experience that charred briskety flavor. The firecracker roll is essentially a spicy tuna roll with a crab-avacodo blend and a red jalapeño on top. I thought the jalapeño was a little too much, but I loved the crap-guacamole. One thing I did notice was the dyed-pink ginger garnish as opposed to the white ginger I prefer. We split the parmesan crusted chicken with mac n cheese as a side. One thing to note: the chicken is not chicken parmesan. The description on the menu makes that pretty clear(parm encrusted chicken with diced tomato, capers and cheese) but our waitress still called it chicken parm a few times, which could be misleading. The kitchen thoughtfully brought our servings out on two dishes so we didn’t have to fight for each bite off one plate. The portion was HUGE. We each got what could have been a full meal. The mac n cheese was very rich. With large noodles, sharp cheese and breadcrumbs, we filled up on it quickly. Of course, we saved room for dessert. As always, I prayed for bread pudding before I looked at the menu, and alas! The food gods looked favorably upon me. Resting atop a pool of crème anglaise, this dense but fresh bread pudding made the meal. With drizzles of caramel and a generous dollop of whipped cream melting on top, that dessert will give me something to think about all weekend. The service was very good — maybe a little slow with the water service if I am being picky. The bar was packed and extremely noisy. We had a reservation that they lost, but it didn’t matter because the entire dining room was empty at 6 p.m. I will say, the décor was a little tacky, like the enormous light fixtures in the dining room or the wicker chairs and multiplicity of furniture styles. The servers wear gawdy ties, but hey to each his own. The app, sushi roll, entrée(with side) and dessert, including tax, totaled $ 62, which was well worth the overall experience.

I think this place may be a little underrated. I’ve been a handful of times and each experience has been great. The food, the service, the ambience. All around its all been consistent and great. The food is decent, maybe a little overpriced, but I think it’s good. I can’t think back to a meal that I’ve had that wasn’t tasty. Notable items on the menu: Fish tacos Parmesan crusted chicken Guacamole appetizer Flatbreads Mac and cheese(a must!!!) All of the above are great choices. Can’t go wrong. I think the Mac and cheese was one of the best I’ve ever had. Creamy and cheesy. Perfection. I recommend coming to brick tops for happy hour. Great food and drink prices. I’ll be back soon, and I look forward to eventually trying their brunch menu. $ 15 mimosas!

I came here for a date night. We were seated right away, which is always a plus in my book. Our server came shortly after and took our drink and food orders. I ordered a glass of prosecco and for my entrée the wagyu beef with sweet potato fries. Usually I try to avoid any meat that is that red but I decided why not try something new. I’m glad I did because it was delicious. My date ordered one of the lobster sushi rolls which was also very good. The restaurant is dimly lit and has a very romantic feel to it. Perfect for a date night! I would recommend this place and will probably be back to try other dishes.

The food is good but it’s not amazing, my brother says to give it four stars, but I’m not sure. I think it’s because the price is so high. If it was better priced, it would be better. Also, I love the outdoor seating, but the smoking is horrible! It seems smokers get priority in most places with outdoor seating nowadays. Either way, it’s a nice place, but I think it’s missing a little something to merit the cost.

Happy hour was decent, $ 3 beers on tap, $ 7 pita pizzas, and fighting upstream through standing groups to the bathroom. Our waitress was attentive and helpful, with a little confusion on happy hour pricing that didn’t get sorted out, but there were crowds that were blocking the aisles so we didn’t want to bother. The sushi left something to be desired(but they do give you a full, filling roll during HH) and the oysters are grainier than I’d like, but that guac and chips. Ugh. That’s what I’m coming back for.

Very nice place in the Heart of Coral Gables. Went for a friends birthday this past Friday for the First time who claimed this was her favorite place. We were in a table of about 20 people.(She made reservations of course.) The restaurant is well decorated and has a classy modern feel.(Not to be confused with Fancy) They have indoor and outdoor seating in a patio. Very nice bar. Classy Ambience. SERVICE: I have to say I was very impressed on how they handled the service for a large group. My fiancé and I arrived late and everyone had just ordered. The server kindly inquired what we wanted to drink and order shortly after we sat down. Agreed without a problem when we asked for a separate check. MENU: Had a pretty good variety of Seafood, Steaks, Salads, etc. PRICE: The prices matched well with the nearby restaurants in the Gables so you are looking at $ 18 – 35 a plate. Which is pretty average for any restaurant in Coral Gables unless you go to Panera Bread on miracle mile. So it may be seem pricey but that simply goes with the average cost of the restaurants in the location. PORTIONS: A friend of mine thought his meatloaf was small but in all honestly it looked OK. It could of had a little garnish to make it more colorful. He did say it was excellent! Fine restaurants are never known for large portions anyway. My fiancé and I split the churasco steak and they kindly separated the portion for us. We felt it was more than enough. It was also nice they split it for us. Food: The churasco I had was delicious. It came with sweet potatoes fries. I ordered a Wedge Salad on the side with also very very good. Everyone’s else’s food was also very good no one seem to have major complaints. Overall: Nice place, good food, definitely a must if you have not been. Enjoy!

After all the hype we had been hearing, we decided to finally give this one a try. But oh we’re we dissatisfied. Upon arriving for dinner we chose to sit on the outside area. There’s the iconic fireplace that is seen from ponce and it feels like a nicer atmosphere on the outside. We were greeted by one of the waiters and after ordering drinks a different waiter came to our table to get our appetizers. We ordered the crab cakes after being told how great they were. Drinks finally arrived. The mojito my wife ordered tasted like carbonated water with a splash of lime juice. How can you get a classic drink like that wrong? We sent it back and ordered a different drink to try. A different waiter came by with salad to our table. Salad? We hadn’t ordered that! Turns out it was for another couple that were sitting a few tables down. The waiter looked lost and disoriented. He apologized and continued to move on. Finally our crab cakes arrived. They were very good! Pure crab meat, sizzling and tasted fresh. We decided to order the filet mignon and have it to share. When it arrived, they had sliced it in half and we each had 4 oz to share. That I thought was pretty neat. First bite and… Did we order filet mignon or bacon? The flavor was all over the place. It definitely tasted like bacon but there was none around it. We had asked for it medium and it came well done. The veggies had better flavor than the filet itself. I’ve had my share of filets and this one ranks amongst the worst I’ve tasted. To get our check, I had to get up and look for one of the many waiters that had helped us because we seemed to have been forgotten and since every waiter in the restaurant had come by I guess no one knew to which we belonged. Will I come back to this place? No! The service was very disappointing and the overall feeling of the staff ruined the experience for us. I don’t think I’d recommend it either, there are many other places with a similar menu and way better tasting food.

Finally got around to visiting this restaurant. Always caught my attention when I drove by it. Let’s start off by saying that it isn’t cheap. I walked in, it was obviously empty because it was Christmas Eve, but there still were a few customers. I awkwardly waited for about 5 minutes while someone came to greet me and take me to a table. Red light number one. A bunch of employees saw me standing there and none of them capable of coming up to me to at least say welcome and look for the lost hostess. Well she finally came and took me to a table outside. The menu is small but of great choices. Meats, fish, salads, etc. The waiter came and we ordered the crab cake entrée as an appetizer. I don’t understand who would eat two small crab cakes as an entrée but whatever. $ 30 for 2 small crab cakes. Totally worth it though, they were delicious. Packed with crab meat. I loved that the neat wasn’t mixed with too many things. Just pure crab meat! Delicious. I had ordered a mojito and when it came it was pure water!!! Most disgusting mojito I’ve ever had. Mojitos are classic Drinks how can you get it wrong??? So I switched it out for a blueberry martini which was pretty good. Not amazing but good. As entrée we ordered the filet mignon. One for both because we really weren’t too hungry. And thank god we did. It was horrible. Tasted more like bacon than filet! When our bill came, they had charged me the mojito plus the other drink I replaced it for. My husband had to GETUP and look for the waiter to tell him because he was also nowhere to be found! It was just overall a bad experience. I’m really not coming back.
