There are so many wonderful things I could say about The Knitting Garden, but you should probably check it out for yourselves. The most patient women work there, and the kindest women knit there. I’ve only taken one class there, and I’ve started my first project. I’m grateful that someone is always willing to assist you with the project that you thought you could figure out on your own.

I have met lots of people from all different parts of the world Who come to knit and laugh and spend Some good times while learning a new Stitch or just coming in to say Hello. I highly recommend this place! It won’t Disappoint.

This place is now officially my home away from home. I started knitting recently and realized that we don’t have a lot of choices locally where to buy yarn. But after I discovered this shop I also realized that I didn’t need many choices; just the right one. They have everything you need for knitting and crochet and can order basically anything. Most of all they offer friendship, guidance, knowledge and a place to come and knit or crochet with other nice people with the same interests. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else! I try to come at least for the Friday Happy Hour when people of all ages and level of knitting and crochet get together to enjoy working. I can’t wait to have more time to come during the week and just work on my craft! Thanks Annie and Virginia for creating a space where we have the pleasure to shop, talk, exchange ideas, meet new enthusiastic and for all the help you give us!

What an amazing experience! I didn’t realize how much fun knitting could be before visiting here, and I also didn’t realize how much I was missing! I got a private lesson, met some amazing people, and learned excellent new skills as well as ways to improve my old ones. They have a fantastic yarn and needle selection, and great step by step instruction to teach you to make. Anything! I will definitely be back for more classes and shopping!

I am visiting from out of state and I always try to pick up a skein of vacation yarn, so I was excited to give The Knitting Garden a try, and I was not disappointed. This selection is enormous and absolutely lovely, their service was friendly and spot on, and the shop is cozy and welcoming. I have no plans to return to Miami, but if I ever do, I will absolutely stop in again.

How cute is this place? Very. On fridays they have knitting happy hour. Ladies of all ages that love to knit can come knit-n-chat-it-up with fellow knitting fanatics. The ambience in this little shop is so zen. Pick up some goodies for your knitting friends. I was able to get some great yarn for my grandmother.

The Knitting Garden is now the best such shop in the whole south area. I wrote my first review three years ago, when they were in another space and a fairly new business, but I have changed many views. The yarns have always been and still are special. The new, spacious location has helped immeasurably with the old space and parking issues. It is a beautiful and comfortable place with adequate light, resources and seating. Mostly I have come to know and appreciate the owners — both are knowledgable and helpful, although it takes a little while to get known here. Other«newbies» write agreeing with my early thoughts, especially comments about insiders and outsiders, but I tell they to give it another try. A class is a great place to start, not, perhaps, a Friday drop– in. These are very nice people and they want to help. I’m glad I went back, have been for a good while.

I absolutely love this shop! I wish I lived in Miami, I would go at least once a week to buy and crochet. Why is this store so good? Here are my top 5 reasons: 1. Customer Service: Virginia and Annie are so nice, and helpful, with tips on what to buy and how to use it, they even taught me how to make a pompom in my very first visit! I live in another country, and can only visit a couple of times a year, so I take my time deciding and they have all the patience in the world. 2. Quality: The yarns they have are so beautiful, and of every color, fiber, combination, yardage you can imagine. 3. Prices: The prices are fair for the quality of the yarns, I tried Amazon, and couldn’t find cheaper prices for the yarns I liked. I bought yarns from $ 5.95 and even some small balls for $ 3 perfect for trying out colors in my crochet hair clips, and they also have some really gorgeous yarns with beads or luxury fibers at $ 25-$ 30. 4. Location: The store is located in a very beautiful area of Miami, with parking meters right in front of the store, and it’s so easy to find, even for tourists. 5. Layout: The store itself is so beautiful you want to stay there forever, so well organized, by weight and color, and it looks so pretty, with the comfy chairs and the large working table where you can crochet or knit with all the regulars and Annie and Virginia ready to help you out with tips on sizes, stitches, techniques, well anything you ask them. After my first visit I never wanted to shop anywhere else! And by the way some reviewers are saying they have poor customer service on their on-line store, well they don’t have an on-line store, there is another Knitting Garden in another state, not related at all with this great Miami store.

This store is not only my favorite yarn shop, it’s also the only yarn shop I’ll visit in South Florida. Nothing compares to The Knitting Garden. As another reviewer mentioned, the store is spacious, but it’s also a very cozy intimate space where everyone is welcome. Loads of delightful yarns in every color you can imagine line the walls according to weight, which is wonderful for a novice knitter like me. Every time I visit, I carry out an armload of another gorgeous yarn that I can’t wait to work with. Prices are beyond reasonable for the artisanal fibers they carry: generally starting at around $ 10 – 12 for hand-dyed cotton or wool, all the way up to $ 30 for silk or wool/silk blends. Of course, the real magic of the store is not in the stock(which is lovely) but in the people running the place. Virginia & Annie are super helpful, always ready to answer questions or chat. I’m always surprised when they remember me because sometimes it’s a few months before I can visit again(I’m a slow knitter and need to use up my last purchase before I return for more). I wish I could either knit faster or had more room for more yarn! These ladies are the best and they make visiting the store the pleasure that it is. They’re the reason why I won’t go anywhere else for yarn. Parking is easy — there are meters right in front of the store, and a metered lot around the corner on Almeria — just bring change and plan to stay at least 30 mins more than you planned on. Once you get caught up in the yarn, it’s very easy to lose track of time. I also love that they’re open well into the evening on weekdays and have great weekend hours.

I am so excited about this store! First of all, it’s huge, which is very unusual for a yarn store. It’s in a great location on Ponce and it’s absolutely gorgeous. It’s warm and comfy and there are tons of places to curl up with your knitting. The selection is gigantic. Did I say how beautiful this place is? Virginia and Annie are wonderful. I was in the process of making my first felted bag and they helped me pick out the yarn, looked up the pattern online for me when there was a question about yardage, showed me half a dozen samples of other felted projects and cheerfully wound my skeins into neat balls. They seem very committed to creating a real knitting community in Miami. They have a blog and online community going already and a full schedule of events including a Friday night knitting happy hour and a Monday movie night.
