This is by far my favorite tex/mex restaurant in the area. I’m always happy with my chicken norrito bowl and order it almost every time I come. They have great customer service and an awesome dining area.

I used to love this place but I am so disappointed after what happened. Last night around 8:30pm I ordered«dos enchiladas» to go. Getting home I shared it with a friend and I heard a weird noise coming from her mouth. Guess what? We found some dark glass shards in the middle of the food. We couldn’t believe it. It is something so serious and could have caused a serious damage. That was unacceptable.

I give it 1 star not for the food but for what I saw while eating there: I ate at this location Monday 02÷01÷16 @ 2pm and while eating there I observed something very disturbing. A customer sitting at the table next to where My Wife and I were eating had 2 large empty Powerade bottles and began to fill them both with hot sauce from your self serve hot sauce bar and take them one by one to his truck(red Ford F-150). The worse part was the young lady that worked there even asked him: «did you fill them up already?» She knew what he was doing and was allowing him to do so, it doesn’t matter how you look at it THISISTHEFT! I spoke to the manager and he thanked me for letting him know and he would address the issue but I wanted to follow up and make sure the general manager and owner knows what his employees are allowing customers to do, specially when the customers are friends. Check the cameras(02÷01÷16 @ 2:10pm), I think if it happened once it has happened many other times and the young lady that’s allowing it should be fired! Again, this is THEFT!

Food here is about average for what they are, their niche is the hot sauce bar. Keep an eye on the counter person they have a tendency for sticking their fingers in your cups before filling them after handling money etc. and have cought them scooping ice with your drink cup a vilation of food service training and the district manager doesn’t seem to care when I pointed it out.

I picked the perfect day to be here. it’s tijuana tuesdaze… two tacos chips and a drink for 5.49.how great I love this. my foid was fresh and ready maybe 3 min after I found a table. I kinda consider myself a Mexican food snob only because I love Mexican food so much. The shell on the taco is super fresh and the size of the taco looks like 3 times the size of any place else around serving tacos. With only 4 empty tables they must be doin some ting right. My taco sure is crunchy fresh and delicious. I even got fresh jalapeño sliced on it and the queso cheese dip chips is awesome! Did I say I am so glad I chose to eat here today! If I didn’t I just did! I inquired about the 15 sauces that I saw along the wall they call it their hot bar. The waitress also told me that if I wanted to buy any of the hot sauces that I had to be 18 or over and sign a waiver because they are that hot. She also told me that they are known for their sauces. I started with the sweetest called georgia peach it had a nice fruity taste and a little tiny amount of heat if you like sweet things then that’s the sauce for you I moved on to the smack my ass sauce with jalapeño how can I say I didn’t enjoy smack my ass sauce it was really really good just the right amount of heat. Last but not least was the Jason’s mom sauce. it is supposedly one of the hotter sauces and I just did not feel the heat on that one at all slap my ass hands down is the winner. I will definitely be back. I really enjoyed this lunch so much! I had to laugh the waitress came over at the end and ask which sauce I like the most I look at her and I said the slap my ass one of course she said I think you just like the title of that I commented you know me well even though I don’t know her at all she’s my kinda waitress for sure 6 stars for her. they dont wear name tags but she had brown hair that was long and in a pony tail…

Another local Tex/Mex eatery locally. This was initially not my favorite offering but a friend loved them and their weekly specials which caused several visits and returns. The offerings at this eatery are expanded a bit over the traditional fast food eateries serving similar food types. You will likely want to sit and eat while here. Everything on the menu is cooked well and delicious. The Chimmachanga and specialty chicken offerings with their version of a buffalo hot sauce are favorites. Kids love the tacos and burrito offerings as well. They offer a hot sauce table with 10+ offerings that seem to change seasonally. The servers are usually quite attentive. Several challenges remain that are small but take away. Everything added like queso and more is an upsell to a base charge. Nice for those living a plain food existence, but most want some of the offerings and perhaps a little more when the employee fails to fill the cup or cover the entrée properly. The soda machines are kept behind the sales desk likely on an effort to maximize profit and stop refills unless the client is brave enough to ask. One warning … The lighting is festive and can be different than traditional eateries especially after dark. It is usually a bit louder also.

Found this place via ratings on Unilocal while vacationing. GLAD I DID! I knew what i wanted before hand. I walked in 30 minutes before closing. I ordered a bangin chicken burrito with rice and black beans on the side. While my food was being prepared, I want to the sauce bar. I don’t remember the exact names of the sauces i took, but they were the first 2 in the closest row. They both had sugar in them. One stated it was their most popular. I wasn’t really fond of that particular sauce. The one to the right of it, was named something like kiss my sassy ass. That sauce, was amazing! My burrito was hugeeeee. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it. All of the ingredients tasted fresh. I wish they had locations up north! They’d give taco bell a run for their money.

Wow, three cheers for tijuana flat. I was greeted as soon as we open the door. The employee was just full of energy and loads of smiles. Tijuana flat is a nice spot to sit down and enjoy a meal, if it’s by yourself or with friends. The menus are located right y the door so you can order s soon s you get next in line. Which by the way, moves very quickly, The food was amazing. I ordered the chimichanga which was so nicely prepared and the taste was beyond what i was expecting. The portions were pretty big. They also serve all your favorites like burrito, tacos, ect. Btw they have sooo many hot sauce. I’m always looking for the hottest one ! Tijuana flat was one of my best experience in customer and restaurant service, everyone was polite and friendly. I will be definitely be coming back.

one word… FRIENDLY! i couldn’t believe how nice everyone here is. I mean really friendly. it was my first time here and the cashier just came right out and offered to give me a mini run down of everything without me even saying its my first time here. they speak so kindly and soft, i almost pictured unicorns and rainbows when they spoke to me, Other than being really nice, they are very THOROUGH with your orders. the cashiers know exactly what comes with your order and repeats every item to you BEFORE charging you. she pointed at the hot sauce bar and recommended local favorites and some unique one that only the strong hearted might be able to handle. As i made my way over and filled up a few mini container with the sauce a young man approaches me and says my name. when i answered him he brings my bag over to me and i went to reach for it but then he opens the bag calls out everything i ordered, to make sure i got everything and gave me the biggest smile ever. I was so impressed i dragged my husband out the house who wasn’t even that hungry, just so i could go back and see if it would happen again. Guess what… IT did! It was a whole other crew but same quality customer service. the food was delish and tasted fresh. sorry taco bell but looks like ill be making a new pit stop! great job!

Tijuana is by far my favorite place, so I was nervous moving that there would not be one close to me. This is the first one I found. It is quite smaller than ones I have been to and only have a couple outside tables. Parking seems okay but I have not been when it is busy. The food was perfect. Our dessert we ordered later(churros) took about 15 minutes and when they came out were pretty bare. They recognized this and gave us a second dessert(chocolate chip cookie flautas). I did have to request more sugar and cinnamon though on our original dessert and they did.

I love it. Far superior to Chipotle and they don’t nickel and dime you for everything. My toddler loves the beans and rice and chips. Can get super busy on Taco Tuesdays for the special but we’ve never not been able to find a table.

Good spot for some quick food. Very neat atmosphere, there walls are really cool murals and even some of the ceiling tiles are even painted. With this place you always know what you’re going to get. Very consistent! I usually go with the steak tacos. They have a bangin’ chicken burrito that’s also good. It’s got buffalo(bangin’) chicken with rice, cheese, sour cream, and green onions. The Flautas are also very good. They’re fried tortillas stuffed with jalapeño, cheese, and cream cheese. Comes with a sweet chili sauce that’s pretty good too. When we aren’t in the mood to go to a restaurant or cook we’ll end up here and it’s the same quality every time. OH! And they also have a hot sauce bar for those of you that like to spice it up a bit!

Tijuana Flats is one of my favorite places to go. No matter which location you visit, you get the same food, every time, and the staff is always super friendly. Blackened chicken floutas are the best thing on the menu. Go for it.

I enjoyed lunch here but was surprised when I was asking about the burritos and enchiladas that they’re fried? So I was stuck ordering two soft tacos. They were good — had a pork one and a chicken one with a side of guacamole. They came with chips and you could go up to their impressive salsa bar. Would stop back if in the area but I don’t tend to gravitate to these types of places where you stand on line order and pay then they bring out your food. I will say I like it much better than chipotle.

3.5 stars really, but I’m rounding down because I’ve only come here twice in a year so I can’t go as far as to say I’m a big fan. I stopped in here on a Friday night to get take out. I kind of wish they had a few more menus out because I kind of felt rushed standing in front of the cashier reading the menu, but she was friendly enough and was able to help us through the ordering process. I ordered two burritos(beef and bean) and an order of tostadas as well as the salsa/guac/queso chip combo. We also ordered two beers to drink as we waited for our food. The food didn’t take long to come out and we spent the time enjoying our beers and visiting the hot sauce bar. I appreciate that they have the tiny to go hot sauce cups out so you can take as many as you like with you, the only trick is remembering which are super spicy and which aren’t. I prefer to stick with the tangier sauces, but my brother really likes spice, so I «surprised» him with some of the more serious offerings. In terms of food the burritos were good, though I swear the last time I was there they had more burrito options, as I wish I could have added sauce on top(I think I did last time) though maybe I could have and just didn’t see it. My brother also pointed out that these burritos didn’t have rice in them, so it was essentially just a giant taco, but I barely noticed because I don’t really care that much for rice anyway. The tostadas were a big hit. The chip/dip trio was good. I like their salsa a lot and who doesn’t love queso. The guac was a little overly citrusy but it didn’t bother me to the point that I didn’t like it. The dip to chip ratio is a little off as we were left with what seemed like a pound of extra toritlla chips, but better too many chips than too few. I was impressed with the take out service here as they were very careful to check the orders before they left the kitchen. It is never good to get home and realize you are missing something. For the price the portions are a good size and I’m sure I will be back at some point.

Stopped in for a road lunch, the young lady behind the counter was friendly as well as engaging, commenting that I looked like the manager. Looking back I’m hoping that was a good thing. I went with the Chicken Quesadilla, which was offered with lettuce, sour cream etc… I’m a purist just C&C, chicken and cheese. with a side of chips. The Chicken Quesadilla was good but what I found intriguing was the hot sauce bar. Like a mad scientist I was mixing hot with sweet and so on. Next time I would consider just ordering chips and hitting the hot sauce bar. The manager stopped by to check on me, which was a nice touch… and he looked nothing like me… just saying. I would stop in again… if for no other reason to see if the manager and I have grown closer in our looks.

Tijuana Flats has always been a nice, reliable place to grab a quick bite to eat, so I was rather happy to see them open this location in my neck of the woods. No, it’s not«authentic» Mexican food by any means, but anyone who expects that is barking up the wrong tree. I suppose I’m rather predictable, but I always order the same thing here and I’m never disappointed. My meal of choice is the chicken quesadilla on whole wheat(I like that you get to choose your tortilla… the whole wheat is delicious). It comes with a generous portion of chips, and I also order a side of salsa in which to dunk both the quesadilla and chips. The ingredients always taste fresh, and the quality is consistently good. While my meal is being prepared, I sidle up to the hot sauce bar, and get a variety of hot sauces(I mix them into the salsa). My favorites are«Don’t be a Chicken Shit» and«Georgia Peach» — the latter is my absolute fave, and other Tijuana Flats locations I’ve been to don’t have it very often. This location, however, has it every time I’ve been, so that makes me all the more likely to come here rather than other locations. The staff here is always super friendly and welcoming, which makes visiting here all the more pleasant of an experience. I’m glad they’re in this area, which is a black hole of restaurants, so I really hope they do well!
