Another old Corinth building that has been repurposed into something extremely cool, beautiful and useful. For a small town that doesn’t have a Starbuck’s on every corner, this is a welcome site. For tourists looking for a Starbuck’s on every corner, this is a friendly and beckoning sanctuary for their coffee beverage fixes. All syrups used in the coffee creations, as well as, all pastries and edibles, are made on site, by Pizza Grocery kitchen staff. The baristas here have the arduous task of training locals on the ins and outs of drinking fresh coffee products made with«from scratch» ingredients. They aren’t served piping hot, or meant to be sipped on in a work environment, over a period of a couple hours. These are more for immediate drinking and enjoyment. They will also initially be compared to KC’s Espresso, formerly the best go-to spot for coffee beverages. The timing of the grand opening of the Pizza Grocery Coffee Bar is ideal, with the recent unfortunate closing of KC’s Espresso. I’m certain the service and quality will be top notch, as the owners of the Pizza Grocery restaurant have been able to demonstrate and maintain since the day they opened. Their secret weapon is, they LISTEN and act on the customer feedback. I plan to attend the soft opening a couple more times, I can say that today’s visit was very enjoyable. I ordered a large Salted Caramel Latte, my official drink, whether at KC’s Espresso or any gas station that offers a version of it, and this drink was perfect. I always had to add sweetener to the drink at KC’s, and today, all I did was sip, swirl, drink, cup my hands around the hefty mug and loose myself in the unexpected perfection. The Grand Opening is slated for the first of May, but after speaking with the owner, it appears it may open any day.
