Ever find yourself in a new place and its not a hurried up fast pace big city that your confident to see Stars&BigBucks coffee located on every corner? Well it happens to me far to often so you can imagine my delight when in Corinth Ms I pulled over in a small parking lot to check my text/email/phone before setting out for my next stop just over an 1hr away and saw what appeared to be a honing beacon point the the way to my new found Holy Grail. Just over the top of the other parked cars I saw the top of a «food truck/trailer» that simply said,“Expresso 2Go”. Heck, they had me hooked with the first word, «EXPRESSO» &2Go is just a fantasy come true. Now this is no giant corporation coffee establishment and I realizes this when I could speak simple English words like medium sized and extra shot with skim milk instead of trying to learn to speak Klinggon or Starbuckish. It’s a locally own and owner operated Smoothy & Expresso specialty trailer that is all about LOCAL. Heck, they even get there coffee roasted close by and locally owned High Point Coffee Roaster in New Albany Ms. What blew my mind besides the wonderful drink That was doing the happy dance in my mouth(4 shot Lottie with 1estiva) was was the conversation I had with the owner. She was concerned that it may be to strong and offered more sweetener and I informed her it was perfect, almost as perfect as the coffee and Expresso that I get whenever I’m in Guatelmala where some of the smoothest beans are grown. I then start telling her of a local coffee plantation I like in the city of Antigua Guatelmala and where I’ve had some of the best coffee ever. She then pulled out the Highpoint Coffee Roasters bag and shows me that I’m drinking coffee from beans that came from that exact plantation in Antigua but roasted locally. I’m sold solidly on that she know her coffee and is a self taught coffee Barista expert. By all means, please take time to stop by the drive up Expresso 2Go in Corinth Ms just off Alcorn Drive next to the Hospital and show the locals some love and I promise you’ll have it returned in spades and in a hot cup 2GO!
