Have eaten here many times. The pizza is the best in town to my taste(am a fan of thin crust) but a little on the pricey side of the cost spectrum for pizza. The pasta dishes I’ve tried have all been good. Am only giving 3 stars because the service can be iffy… have experienced more than one long wait for the order to be taken or food to be served. Much of the wait staff is young, so sometimes questions about beer or wine cause«deer in the headlights» type responses.

This was my second visit. The first visit was quite nice. This time, not so much. We asked if the wedge salad was large enough to split. We were told it was, and we believed it at $ 7. It was tiny, unsplittable(maybe about 1⁄6 of a head). We remarked. The server said it looked smaller than usual, and took it back. She returned to tell us the cost of iceberg lettuce had gone up. Really? We said nevermind, give us 2 of the half dinner salads for $ 4 each instead. We had ordered a delicious sounding fig pizza with fig, gorgonzola, prosciutto, mozzarella, and balsamic vinegar. Yum, right? It was tasty, but NO fig. None. No real fig, no jam, nothing. They did not say word. It was still good, but I ordered it because of the fig. Well, now our server clearly hates us. She never comes back to the table, never asks us how the pizza is, never offers a dessert menu. Just a check, and we leave. I noted on the check that we were savvy to the no fig thing. It bothered me a lot. The rudeness after the salad thing that could have been corrected with a normal size salad that was not $ 6 mark-up would have been nice. Though I enjoyed my first visit, my opinion is now tainted. I am not sure I will go back.

This is a really cute little location in Corinth. The restaurant has a nice quiet and calm atmosphere. I just dropped in and ordered the lunch special while I was out running errands, which was two slices of pizza and a tiny little salad. I was hoping the salad would be larger and the pizza would be smaller(shame on them for not knowing I was dieting!) The pizza was good, but not anything that would have me running back for more. The topping options were a little uninspired(the veggie pizza had canned olives, mushrooms, tomatoes). I know I just ordered the lunch special, but I would have like to have had an experience that matched the atmosphere of the restaurant. It is such a cute and modern(for northeastern Mississippi) little place and I thought some gourmet pizza options would have been nice, but then I remember that THISIS the south and they have to cater to their audience. All I am saying is, just once in a while, it would be nice to stumble upon something unexpected down here in Mississippi. There is some decent food, but just once I would like to find something fresh and interesting! Rant over. The rest of the menu was intriguing and I would definitely like to come back and order a sandwich or have a nice dinner here. At which point I might be pleasantly surprised and motivated to update my review, because I do feel it is a little unfair to rate them based entirely on a $ 5.50 lunch special.

Great dining experience in Corinth MS @ Pizza Grocery. Beautiful location, great re-use of an older building in town, airy Coffee Bar(opened in April-May 2015). Some craft beer on tap(6) to include Sierra Nevada Torpedo and Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan. For dessert offered beignets(served with honey and/or nutella) — light and delicious. Has capability of hosting large parties.

My friends will tell you if I say this pizza is as good as Lombardi’s in NYC(except the tap water of course), you know their pizza blew me away! As my spouse said, «Who knew you had to go to Mississippi to get great pizza around here.» We drove an hour from the Shoals area to try it out finally. The crust was fire grilled and crispy on the ends. Their sauce was the perfect acidity level. I could go on, but I have to talk about the handmade pasta. Our table got the Creole pasta, chicken Marsala, smoked duck and sausage pasta, and spaghetti and meatballs. We all taste tasted each other’s dish and were blown out of the water. Well worth the drive because nothing, I mean nothing compares in the Shoals to Pizza Grocery in Corinth, MS.

I was alone on a business trip. I was surprised they were on a short wait on a Wednesday night. They offered me a seat at «the bar»; extremely accommodating. The Greek salad was very tasty and a bit innovative. The Pasta Alla Norma was also tasty. The lightly fried eggplant rolltini being another creative twist on an old standard.

Very good pizza, New York style. Thin, tasty crust; not soggy. That’s hard to pull off. Good tomato sauce and cheese. A real treat. Before opening the restaurant, the owners traveled to various places, including Italy, to learn about pizza. Their research paid off. Friendly, helpful staff.

This place was awesome. A lot of history in this building but the servers should know a little more about. They had to go ask. The eggplant sticks were just okay. The breading was great but the eggplant could have used a little more cooking. The homemade mozzarella sticks were soooo good. Pizza was very good. This place could really use a better and more extensive wine list. That is the only fallback that I found.

I was in Corinth, Mississippi, for a work function on October 21, 2014 and dined at Pizza Grocery for dinner that evening. I live in Atlanta, so Corinth seemed really rural, even though it is the biggest town in a 45-mile area. Pizza Grocery felt upscale for this laid back town, but still relaxed. It is one of the nicest restaurants in Corinth, located in the heart of downtown. The restaurant has ample tables with upstairs and downstairs dining areas, as well as a patio near the railroad tracks. I was in a group of 12, and our service was actually a little slow, even though the restaurant was not very busy that weeknight. The menu contained a wide variety of Italian fare: pizza, calzones, sandwiches and salads. My table ordered bruschetta, fried calamari and spinach and artichoke dip as appetizers. Each of these did the trick of keeping us from starving, but none of them really stood out as award winning. The restaurant had several craft beers on tap, which I enjoyed. I am not a wine connoisseur, but several people in my group seemed impressed with the wine list. For dinner, I ordered a vegetable calzone, which met my expectations. I was not«wowed» by it, but at the same time I was not disappointed either. Everyone else in my group was also pleased with their entrees. Overall, I would say that dining at Pizza Grocery was an enjoyable experience. I am spoiled by the variety of specialty pizza joints in Atlanta, but I see why residents of Corinth and nearby even smaller communities speak highly of Pizza Grocery and pick it for a date night meal.

Rustic and charming exterior? Check. Active railroad track nearby, proving you are truly in the Crossroads? Check. Outdoor dining area for use in perfect weather conditions? Check. Ample seating with room to move about? Check. A dimly lit, but pleasing to the eyes basement/cellar? Check. Varied menu offering choices for all ages? Check. This one dining spot seems to have it all and is in the process of expanding upon the already expansive menu offerings, by building a coffee shop within or in addition to. I ordered the house smoked duck and sausage pasta. This was as perfect a pasta dish anyone could want. The ratio of sauce to pasta was spot on. The intensity and depth of smoke in the duck rivals any bbq joint. The flavor of the sausage was intense but not overwhelming. The duck was sliced and placed atop the dish and not buried in the sauce. I was truly awestruck at this dish altogether. I ordered a half order and it was an ideal amount of food. I didn’t have leftovers, but I really didn’t want to eat reheated duck, so with dogged determination I finished it off. I wish there were more«smoked» menu items than just the duck. I did notice that they have added a cornbread salad to the chalkboard. My next mission will be to see if they can dethrone Borroum’s from cornbread salad royalty Pizza Grocery’s method of serving the salad intrigues me. The ingredients, which include grilled corn cut off the cob, are layered into a mason jar and the diner inverts the contents onto a bed of arugula, with cornbread on the side. A note to tourists and out of towners, don’t assume that all of the cars in the parking lot are there for Pizza Grocery. It is a shared lot. At least check seating availability before deciding to dine elsewhere, because you will miss out on a devine meal. I wouldn’t recommend a sandwich, the Italian ordered was nothing exciting. They offer special menus weekly and checking Facebook before visiting could lead you to an even more exciting dining experience. As of this week(8-22-2014) they offered Tuscan Ribeye *Fresh herb marinated 16oz ribeye, served with potato and leek gratin, crispy prosciutto, Italian red wine roasted cauliflower, and black pepper butter.

WOW! My husband and I stopped in Corinth after a visit to Shiloh. We found the Pizza Grocery by accident. I’m SO glad we did! We saw all the cars and thought the food must be pretty good. It was better than good, it was great. I thought, due to the name, that it was just a pizza joint. They have a very large menu from Po Boy sandwiches and salads, to duck, to every pasta dish imaginable! They also have an extensive wine list and beer selection. My husband had a pepperoni and mushroom pizza and I had the chicken parmesan. I got a bite of the pizza and it’s fantastic. The crust and pizza sauce is made in house and is delicious. It had the perfect amount of toppings. My chicken parm was perfect and served on a huge mound of angel hair pasta. They make their own marinara, which was very tasty. The chicken was cooked perfectly and topped with lots of marinara and mozzarella cheese. Yuuummmmmm!!! Their dessert menu looked so good, we decided to share one. We got the chocolate pizza. They also make their OWN chocolate! Sooooo good! We even ordered a pizza to go(all the way back to Paris, TN) so we could put it in the fridge and reheat for dinner another night. The service was also excellent and everyone was so nice. We’ll be back and back again!

Great pizza recipes and they are cooked well. Really hit or miss on service and very poor kitchen management, nothing like going in there with an 8 year old and waiting an hour and fifteen minutes for a cheese pizza.

My absolute favorite place in Corinth– I beg my husband to take me here for special occasions because the food is just awesome. I’m not usually a pizza fan, but I love the Greek Pizza. The spinach artichoke dip is to die for– big chunks of artichoke heart, and it’s so cheesy and creamy– I eat it with a spoon! My only complaint– no soda fountain, so if you order a soda, no free refills. Small complaint really but it’s the kind of thing that’s worth noting if you’re a big soda drinker.

Pizza Grocery is a wonderful place to eat and is family friendly. We had to wait about 45 minutes, but the food and service was well worth the wait. We will definitely be going again.

I spent an evening there with coworkers while in town for a conference. We had the mozzarella sticks and fried ravioli for appetizers. They were obviously«house made» and portion size was good. Two of us had the fried artichoke salad with goat cheese. the combination of flavors worked well. We ordered a pizza with a variety of meats. It was delish! I had the greek calzone. It was full of veggies and cheese… yum! We all split the nutella calzone for dessert and it was such a nice finish to a great meal. The atmosphere was pleasant for both the women and men, meaning it was charming AND had a TV! :) The food was wonderful. The prices were good and the waitress was attentive.
