Staying in the Elmira area for work and we stumbled across this gem. Food and beer were delicious. Service was great. I’ll be back — if only for those crab cakes…

The draft beer selection never seems to change, regardless of what time of year I eat at MSBC. The outdoor dining areas are a nice experience, especially when dining with kids or visiting family/friends. They used to server an AMAZING Chicken Pot Pie, but it’s no longer on their menu. I also don’t recommend the Fish Tacos; they’re nothing more than frozen fish sticks on some store bought tortillas.

This place had a great setting, the heated patio was very inviting on a cold October day. The beer selection was small but good, and the menu had a good variety of original dishes.

I had the jerk chicken sandwich. It was tasty but honestly, it was way to spicy hot. The spice bordered on ruining the entire meal. Service was good and attentive. The day I went happen to be a cold day. But the restaurant decided to keep open the covered outdoor area. The one given was that it was covered and they did provide an outdoor heater. However the rest of the place felt cold bc the doors leading outside were wide open. I was freezing the entire time. Going forward I suggest to the staff, to keep that area closed off on cold days. I good out to restaurants for a pleasant experience. NOT to feel that I have to rush out into my car bc its to cold.

We came here twice on our trip. Once just got food and once for the brews. Food: Their entrees are all reasonable priced and offer a bit more variety than your standard bar /brew pub fair. For dinner I enjoyed their chicken with snap peas and the next day for lunch the black bean soup with bacon and grilled cheese. Nothing that I would write home about: but gods food none the less. Brews: it’s Oktoberfest. Don’t miss out on their Hawktoberfest. Service: I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but the fourth time your server refers to your 25 year old self as «kid», it gets old. And the third time she comes by and you have to remind her you needed water… That’s a little draining, too.

My coworker always points me in the right direction for new places to try, this time around Market Street Brewing. After a hike through the gorge @ Watkins Glen, my fiancé and I drove about 20 minutes to check out what cool things Corning has to offer. We were not disappointed! The staff here were extremely friendly and down to earth. Our server Jamie, was fantastic. There are 2 outside areas to enjoy as well as the bar area and the indoor dinning room. We sat on the roof. Very cool area(side note — there are cooling fans next door that are kinda noisy, but once you get used to them… A nice thing, up there was there wasn’t music trying to block out the noise of the fans, so it’s easy to just sit and talk) Their beers are really good. Gene had a flight, I went straight for a blackberry. A very good pick for a hot summer after noon, not too heavy, and to me, not too sweet. We ordered hot stuffed banana peppers– outstanding. 4 good sized peppers stuffed FULL of cheese and topped with spicy garlic oil. Gene ordered the spicy pig roll with sweet potato fries, which come with a maple syrup with old bay seasoning– surprisingly great! I had a fish sandwich with loaded chips. Those chips were LOADED! I’ve never seen so much bacon on chips or fries. Very good, and enough to bring some home for later. Everything was served hot and fresh and in a timely fashion. Pricing was very reasonable to us. A flight, so we tasted all their beers, 2 pints, app, and 2 sandwiches for around $ 50! We will be back to explore more of Corning and more of Market Street!

Dinner with friends last night. Good as always. Sat outside under patio tent. Waiter was on point. The meatball Marsala was awesome

Chad’s eSCAPE review: Service(+): Our waitress was very friendly and we had a large group. She was able to take many orders and keep them straight. She kept all the different drinks full and we had sweet tea, unsweet tea, different kinds of beer, apple juice, etc. At the end we asked to split the check four different ways and she did it perfectly. Cost(+): Very reasonable pricing for both the food and the drinks. One member of our group ordered the flight sampler and the beer sizes for the flights was quite large. All the portions were large and I don’t think anyone left hungry. Atmosphere(+): There is both an outside and inside. Unfortunately with the size of the group we had we couldn’t make particular reservation for outside. We ended up inside. The inside though was very comfortable even for our large party. The bathrooms were clean. Palate: In general, my order was average in flavor. There was nothing wrong with it, but there was nothing amazing either. My daughter ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and that was interestingly prepared and actually quite tasty for a grilled cheese. All in all, there was nothing truly unique about the menu. One of the members from our party works at a micro-brewery in Houston, TX and her take on the beers were that they were okay. It was disappointing that they were out of two of the six for the flights. Everything Else(+): I am giving a plus here just temporarily until the staff does something I think will improve the palate rating. The restaurant has loaded french fries on the menu which brags of their homemade«beer cheese» sauce. My Mother ordered the sauce on the side so it didn’t make the fries soggy and I tried it as is without the fries. This should not be a sauce for already overly abused fries but served as a stand alone«beer cheese soup». You would give some Wisconsin restaurants a run for their money.

After a few trips back here I’m not as stoked on it as I was the first time. The food I’ve had is average, the beer is ok. I won’t ever turn down a visit to this place, especially when it’s warm outside. Sitting on the roof in the summer with a plate of sweet potato fries is fine by me.

Ordered the mint orange salad, unfortunately it wasn’t appetizing to say the least. I decided to order the black bean burger instead and I took too long to come out so I had to leave, I had a movie to catch. Not returning for fear of bad meal.

Had really high hopes for this restaurant and was sadly disappointed. First I will say our waiter was really nice, just either slow or had too many tables. I was glad the other patio server walked around a few times with a pitcher of water for refills. I ordered a couple spiked Hawaiian Punches and they were delicious. If I had known they were only $ 7 I would’ve ordered more! The spinach dip appetizer was decent –nothing to bring me back. Our entrees came and my fiancé had a perfectly done burger. My crab cakes however were disappointed and begged the question«would the chef serve this to his/her mother?» The entire bottom was burned and I hesitated to say anything however I am glad I did –the new crab cakes that were brought to me were AMAZING. Definitely homemade and fresh.

I have been here about two times and ordered the same thing both times because it’s the only thing on the menu that appeals to me! I’ve enjoyed both experiences with a few«meh» moments, but overall think this is a great place to visit on Market Street. The atmosphere can be loud and fun, not the greatest place for intimate dinners and dates; more friends and drinks. The menu has a variety of things to choose from, a veggie black bean burger for my vegetarian friends! I haven’t tried it yet because I’m picky on my black bean burgers, but maybe next time. I have ordered the shrimp tacos each time and have really enjoyed them with one minor issues — it’s messy, like really messy. The first time I had ordered them it wasn’t so bad, the second time there was way too much sauce and it was dripping out of the back constantly. Too much sauce makes for uncomfortable eating, so maybe next time I’ll mention light on the sauce(if that’s possible). It comes with a side of chips and salsa, the chips are lacking, but you can upgrade for homemade chips or sweet potato fries. Good selection of beers, I am told the IPA is a good choice! The wait staff is pretty good. The bartender I met the first time was super friendly and talkative, I sat at the bar waiting for friends so he entertained me while I waited, much appreciated. The waitress was pretty quick with our food and tried to accommodate our large party with half leaving early, I liked that. Although this past time, she took a little longer to get our bill to us(same waitress), but got me a new ginger ale without me needing to ask +1 for her! Overall, I would definitely come here again with friends. Indoor, outdoor, and rooftop seating for those nice weather days. It’s right on the main strip and you can see the menu in the window before walking in, let’s you know if you want to eat before actually going in!

My boyfriend and I were in Corning for a couple of days and caught lunch at MSB. The food was delicious, and I would highly recommend the loaded chips as a starter, and the beer was even better! The staff was very friendly and attentive, and I will definitely be returning here the next time I am in Corning!

Great food which grants the two star rating. Had the fish tacos and they were some of the best in the area. My wife had an Asiago Chicken dish which she really enjoyed as well. The other three stars are missing because service the last two times I have been here has been dismal. Slow on drinks. No silverware. No waster to be found for most of the dining experience. Small things that are completely avoidable to make a great experience.

Excellent pork chop special! Great beer! Although it was a busy Friday night, the service was excellent and prompt. The hostess and waiter were both excellent. Looking at the rest of the food and beer menus, we are looking forward to our next visit.

We were the first diners in for Good Friday lunch, and were welcomed warmly by everyone. The ahi salad, steak salad, mussels, wings, and chips were all outstanding. Maybe a little heavy on the salt with the mussels. By the time we finished our meal, the place was completely packed. Come early. My favorite was the blackberry brew. Don’t miss it!

I didn’t eat here, so I’m just reviewing the beers and the scene. Beers during happy hour(4pm-7pm) are $ 3. Prices go up to $ 3.75 afterwards. Great prices, period. Had three brews: red ale, IPA, and dark ale. Quality drinks here folks. Found the bartender(Abe?) very knowledegable about the beers and the menu, but also friendly and great to chat with. Place was kinda empty at 5pm and jammin at 7pm when I left. Bar area isn’t super big — maybe 15 seats — but they have another dining section. The folks next to me ordered some dip which looked and smelled delicious. They have an enclosed patio with a propane heater for the colder seasons; when it’s nicer they’ll open it up. Seems like a great to go back and visit.

This place is a favorite of my husband and father-in-law. It’s located right on Market St. Corning which is perfect as it allows you to browse the boutiques and small shoppes that also line the street. The restaurant is a microbrewery and offers a variety of their own brews as well as domestics. Food is decent, however I feel that the dessert has declined in quality over the last 2 years. The entrée menu offers a section of lunch and dinner specials no matter what meal you stop for. I would highly recommend you stop by for a brewsky or 2.

Looking forward to going back for more. Only had a chance to grab a beer before heading to an event. The bar area is quaint. Tight squeeze on a Saturday night as the bar was full — more room if you plan to sit, drink and eat in the dining room. It’s cool to see the brewing gear right in the front when you walk in and the bar staff is super friendly. They offer flights, which I recommend to get a taste of all they have on tap. I ended up grabbing the blackberry lager which was refreshing, but a little too fruity for my taste. One of the only blackberry beers I’ve seen locally so that’s a plus. My friend had the Wheelhouse IPA which was nice and bitter from the hops. Next time, I’ll grab a pint of that brew. Can’t wait to try their food. Lots of good pub food options and full entrees available. Beer brats looked tasty!
