I tried going last Friday night and when I got there at 8pm they said the wait was about 2 hours. We were starving so did not wait. I thought the food must be really good so we tried this week, 10 minute wait no problem. Starting off with chips and salsa, I don’t thing I have ever said no to salsa, it was tasteless and tasted too much like V8! I had a mango margarita and I have to say that was delicious. The shrimp cocktail was horrible, my husband and I could not eat it. I couldn’t tell if the shrimp was overcooked or bad, I have never eaten shrimp with this texture. The shrimp and sauce had no taste, I had to add a ton of ketchup and Tapatio just to taste it. Very disappointing because the place is a nice big place and I liked the ambiance. There was a gentleman playing a guitar and we really wanted to stick around to listen. We ended up just ordering another round of drinks. Because I did like the place I may try it again, only drinks though.

Wow! What a disappointment. We are used to dining at the other location(Santa Ana) which I have to say Food Quality is Amazing there! we happened to be around this area so we thought to check this one out… At first impression. I have to say it felt more like a Chain-Fast Food Restaurant. i. e: Rubios We ordered drinks (michelada and mango margarita) very good! We ordered Mussels a La Yo and these came out with BARELY any sauce. They were chewy. And tasted too much like fish. I could not for the life of me eat these! We ordered camarones a la Yo. And these were not bad. Compared to the mussels. But definitely cheap on the sauce. We also ordered Tacos Al Gobernador. Well I had to send one of my tacos back because it was black. BLACK! Like Burnt Black! Again…disappointed. At this point I am over the whole dining experience. We asked to see the manager. I explained to him that we were expecting awesome food since we love dining at Your other location(Santa Ana) and he was quick to respond with«Well that’s under a different Manager» Told him how we were not pleased with the food quality. And he said all he could do is take my Burnt tacos off the bill. –_– Please don’t let this review keep you from ever going to a different Cangrejo Nice location. I’m only writing the review for Corona Location. !! I can’t stress this enough. This location just doesn’t quite have it down yet…

Fast service, good authentic Mexican food. There Ceviche is amazing, and don’t even get me started on their tacos dobaldo.

Pretty good empanadas. Especially the sauce it comes with. The michelada nice is excellent. The burrito sucked. Mostly rice and hardly any meat. Chipotle on burrito sauce was garbage. Went here with my friend on a Monday and the service was great. Went with my family on a Friday and the service was absolutely terrible. They said a waitress was late but the waitress that was there was so lazy. Heavy set with blonde highlights. Overall I may go back for drinks and empanadas but for family time, stick with el pescador

Have been here a few times and find myself getting the same thing everytime! Their shrimp burrito is one of the best I’ve ever had. They also have excellent empanadas! Service can be a bit slow sometimes but overall pretty good.

I took my parents to eat for my dad’s birthday on a Sunday and we chose to go with the brunch. Walking in, the first thing we noticed was the noise but the place was busy so we didn’t mind. A few minutes into our visit, a mariachi band showed up started playing music and taking requests. They sang las mañanitas(Spanish Happy birthday song) to my dad which he very much enjoyed. Our server was very friendly and on top of things. The food was great, everything was delicious! The desert options were not great and I would have liked to see a bigger selection of deserts. Overall, it was a good experience! P. S. The brunch includes mimosas!

Food was really tasty. We ordered it to go and got the crab legs for $ 30. A ton of food! We also got 2 orders of nachos and another sea food plate. Everything was really good, especially since we went 10 minutes before closing. I recommend !

Second time here & don’t think we’ll be back. Everything in this placed is way overpriced for what it really is including the alcohol! We got the wet burrito w/chipotle sauce shrimp not devined, tiny & overcooked husband got this plate stated to be mild was super spicy & somewhat salty the shrimp were the same as in the burrito. Definitely not authentic Mexican food music band was OK!

The seafood is great! The sunday buffet is not so hot looking especially for the price. It’s pretty loud on Sundays but it ties in with the ambiance. The house michelada is freaking great! The resteraunt is kind of dirty but I beleive it’s because I have only been on Sundays and it’s crazy busy.

El Cangrejo«Nice» was recommend by a relative of mine. I was kinda sketchy at first being I’m not high on seafood, other than shrimp and some fish. The restaurant appearance was very nice and clean. Very spacious. Also, it doesn’t have that typical seafood smell as other seafood restaurants have. The food was great. Oysters very delicious, which I highly recommend. My plate which was the Camaron a la Diabla, was just as delicious. They were not shy with their serving proportion. I had shrimp in every serving on my fork. Service was great. Great atmosphere! I’ll definitely be coming back that’s for sure.

I’ve been here a few times before and was always so disappointed. The food was excellent but the service was always the worst! An hour to get a michelada … I’m not exaggerating! My friends wanted to come here again a couple weeks ago and oh my goodness am I glad. We had BRENDA and she was amazing! She recommended the appetizer of camarrones a la diabla which was on point! Our drinks were never empty(we drink a lot of Alcohol). We left here happy, buzzed, and super full. Thank you Brenda

This place is very good and not to expensive. The food was good and the chips and salsa was amazing. Our hostess was very knowledgeable of the menu and she gave us good insight as to what to get. The portions are big so come hungry, and be prepared to eat.

Good food. Very fresh and very well prepared. The shrimp fajitas were amazing and a lot of food for one person! We Could have shared it and still had a meal left over. The service was a bit slow. The chips and salsa were obviously home made and wonderful. We will certainly be back. Prices were very reasonable. We have been by here a hundred times and never stopped in. Definitely worth stopping!

The fish tacos here are fantastic! Their drinks are always well-made and delicious. I love the octopus tacos and ceviche dishes most of all. The only thing that bums me out is that no matter how full or empty the restaurant is, we find ourselves here for a really long time waiting between orders and being served. The staff is really nice though, so we always tip well. You can really tell they are just busy trying very hard to take care of many things at once. The food and drinks are definitely well worth any wait. Totally a great spot in my favorite, little dining cove in Corona.

Like many other reviews this has been one of those«drive by a 1000 times and mean to eat here, but glad I did» reviews. I need to be true to myself and say while it isn’t the best mexican food I have consumed by no means does it leave me feeling like an alpo spokesperson by any means! So took the wife here for a «hot date».Ok ok, a pit stop before shopping at Stater Bros. for groceries. We each decided on burritos, she went with the carne asada and I went for the shrimp burrito. Portion wise they are quite the presence so certainly you get what you pay for here indeed. A drawback for me was tasting a shrimp shell in one bite of my burrito and it being slightly overcooked in some bites, but beyond that I did take a liking to the chipotle sauce it was accompanied with. I did have a sample of the carne asada and I found it to be lacking a bit of flavor, but it was at least tender and not as chewy or full of gristle as found in an Alberto’s. The inside was a lot bigger than I anticipated so I can certainly see how it would accommodate the crowd for karaōke and live music nights. Overall we did have a friendly wait staff which is always an important plus and I do see a return trip in the future for a further indulgence of the Cangrejo experience.

Came here around 9:40ish just for food but saw the drink menu and said fuck it. It took 20plus mins to even get the drinks and then another 30min for the food which only two plates came out first then 15mins later the rest of the plates come out. Didn’t leave until 11:20. Its seafood so what’s the deal here? Doesn’t take long to cook! The food over all was great but we waited so long for it we kinda lost our appetite. We even saw a couple sit and get their food way before ours. Not sure if it was just the waitress or the fact that they sat us near the back because we had two kids. The atmosphere was very loud, there was a Dj and a band. Music was good but felt as if I was at a 15/Quince. Liked how the host kept checking on us and making sure we were being helped since she did sat us in the back. Husband said he developed a headache from bad acoustics. Saw a lot of wires from the speakers just hanging around, couldn’t of hid them a bit. Restroom is very small. There’s a lot of room for improvement here.

I drive by this place everyday and I finally got to stop in. The atmosphere is up beat during the time I was at the bar enjoying my Modelo a salsa band was setting up to play. I was told they have live entertainment Friday and Saturday. Very good to know some nights you need that. The chips and salsa where ok salsa tasted too tomatoey, I ordered me a shrimp ceviche tostada The shrimp looked red like it was soaking in tomato sauce overnight kind a like you get from a shrimp cocktail. They overly use red onion it was in the salsa and ceviche. The taste was there it’s not what I’m used to but that’s ok it was decent. I’d come back to try another dish and experience the live entertainment.

Me encanto, el servicio y la musica(trios), muy buenos y la comida sabrosa al igual que la salsa con ese sabor, cualquiera regresa con los amigos para que conoscan un buen lugar para comer mariscos y algo mas.
