I love the ambiance and the décor of this place. Their Dessert Calzones are amazing and you can’t find them anywhere else. Customer service is on point. I will definitely be back!

This place is good! The Neapolitan pizza got me spoiled now for any other pizza. My husband had the shrimp cocktail which was outstanding he said and I had the ravioli that were really really good my daughter had a big salad which was beautiful. Definitely will come back here.

For SoCal, the pizza is decent. I’m from NY and it’s hard to find decent pizza in Cali. If the sauce wasn’t so dang sweet, it would be better. Also, not a fan of the orange zest in the cannoli. Just keep it plain!

The Alfredo pasta got me like woah! So tasty and yummy. And the pizza is so bomb as well. Close to home which in turn can be a problem haha

BESTGLUTENFREEPIZZAPERIOD!!! Drop the mic. Exit the building!!! Ok, so I have to eat gluten free for medical reasons. I always went to Twisted Gourmet. Their pizza has gone way downhill. We came here. I ordered the White Pizza, sub broccoli for tomatoes and make it gluten free. Well they did it(for an up charge) and… WOW!!! Love it a 10!!! Will never eat at Twisted Gourmet again. Thanks guys!!! Great prices, great service! Amazing food :)))

Wish I could give 4.5 stars but Unilocal won’t let me. Husband and I just had a nice Italian dinner here that actually persuaded me to delete my last review. We decided to give NYPD a second chance, but this time we dined in. Super glad we did. We also decided to have a couple of their pasta entrees instead of pizza this time. I ordered Baked Zitti with Meatballs(DELICIOUS). So much food I could have fed a family of 3. The flavor was great, the cheese was extreme(I’ll pay for that soon) and the meatballs freshly made in house. Dinner was so good we decided to try a dessert… once again SUPER glad we did. We ordered the Zeppoles(cross between a beignet and a funnel cake). AMAZING! The perfect sweetness to end out meal. A must try with a cup of coffee. I’m sure glad we gave them a second chance and tried their pasta. The only constructive criticism I can give is beef up the dinner salad and stop being stingy with the dressing.

My boyfriend and I were walking into subway but saw the sign for deals so we decided to try this place! They immediately ask you if it’s Togo or sit in and we weren’t sure. We wanted to eat there but we’re in a rush so we didn’t want to get served! We both got the spaghetti and meatballs with a drink for 3.99! Super good deal! The sauce was very good and the meatballs were better than the subway ones you get! The noodles were hard but we still are them! Here is the real complaints though. The girl at the counter was not very friendly. I don’t know her name but she has brunette hair and younger. She was wearing a love pink jacket. First off she didn’t put napkins, forks, or Parmesan cheese in our to go bag. When my boyfriend asked for forks she looked at him like he was stupid, like why would we need those? Even when we do to go from other places they give us those things. Then we decided we needed parmeseAn cheese so I went to ask this time. I waited in line and kept staring at these other workers to see if they would help me since they were just talking and not doing anything but they didn’t. Then I asked the girl and she gave me an attitude and told me that she was only a to go desk and that normally if I need help I have to ask a server. I looked at her strange like«can I just have the cheese» and she handed me the cheese and said that for next time if we order to go we basically can’t stay there and ask for service from her. I looked at her so confused and just ok kind of rudely so she knew I was bothered then we finished our meals and left. I won’t be going back good deal with the food price but service and actual food not the best. (TLDR); Service wasn’t good. Food was ok. Counter lady gave rude attitude.

3.5 This is a very good local family Italian restaurant. The pizza is very good old school Italian. Which is to say, very large with a rich tomato sauce and a little greasy. It is the style of pizza I grew up eating. The other food options are solid Italian cooking. The Chicken Parm is very good. The Caprese Salad is strong, as well. Nothing is going to be amazing or adventurous, but everything is authentic, red-sauced Italian food. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Stramboli… yum yum. This place is great for the hard chairs, the lack of personality(find it to be sarcasm folks) and the GREAT food. For a second, you close your eyes you believe you are in the Big Apple. Pizza was also killer, great place for a brew and slice of pie.

Love this place! We’ve eaten here several times before and have had the savory pesto pasta, tasty calamari and to die for New York style pizza(White Pizza is delish). The staff is wonderful and always connects with their customers so that’s a PLUS. We’re definitely regulars!!!

Was there recently and ordered the pastrami sandwich. It was very dry and tough. I complained to the owner and she said that was the way they liked it. I had the spaghetti instead and it was disappointing as well. Normal café spaghetti sauce. My wife is from Buffalo and knows N.Y. food. This wasn’t it!

I’ve been on quite an Italian food kick lately, and NYPD flawlessly satisfied today’s cravings. There is no other like NYPD’s Classic Italian atmosphere. The second I walk in my Italian accent comes out and I MUST be wearing a leather jacket. Seriously, if you want to rack up cool points while taking somebody out to eat, bring them here. Every single time I take a trip to NYPD I tell my partner-in-dine, «this is what I want my whole house to look like». Anyways, now onto the food. The bread wasn’t my favorite, but the food I ordered made up for it. My friend and I shared a small salad with balsamic for a little appetizer, and the lettuce was fresh and deliciously crisp. This trip I ordered the pasta puttanesca with linguine as my noodle(I’m not at all a fan of penne) and this adjustment wasn’t a problem whatsoever. This dish was AMAZING. There was an abundance of rich sauce, capers, and kalamata olives. I ordered a side of broccoli with garlic and olive oil to aid as an additional vehicle to the sauce, as I wanted nothing to go to waste! The portions were huge, but it was so good that I forced myself to the limit to finish it all. Obviously, I’m quite the fan of NYPD. This place is THE best Italian food in corona, hands down. If you’ve never taken a trip to NYPD, you’re missing out. Big time.

Once again NYPD has amazed our guests! We had them cater a fundraiser dinner for 300 in February, and the food was delicious!

I found this place on Unilocal and figured I had to try it with all of the great reviews. Wings and 2 topping Pizza total came out to about $ 35. The wings were good and the pizza was surprisingly just okay. I probably won’t be going back again. It was not worth it.

We have been eating here for years. The staff has always been attentive, both before and after the change of ownership. They are always friendly and attentive. The service, unless they are totally jammed, is generally prompt. Now for the down side… We feel that over the last couple of years, the overall quality of the food has diminished somewhat. Things which have survived the test of time are the marinara sauce, the sausage and the pizza. What, in our opinion has suffered, is the overall seasoning of the dishes. Breading is quite bland, garlic is lacking and a good bit of salt and pepper would benefit many of the vegetable dishes. We will give them another chance since we love the staff, but the true N.Y. Italian zestiness seems to have abandoned this establishment. We will post updates.

Let me start off by saying that we’ve been coming to NYPD since it opened. We’ve never had a bad experience. Yes, it’s small. Yes, it can get crowded. We returned last night to celebrate at birthday and we had a great experience. Luckily we arrived right before the evening rush. We had to wait about 10 minutes for our table, but that’s why we planned ahead to arrive early. Our server was Darrell and he took care of our every need. He was great, so much that my wife and I commented on his great service multiple times. The food was once again on point. Our dinner salads, pizza, and pasta were ready in a pretty short amount of time and everything tasted great. It’s hard to beat their thin crust«Sicilian» style pizza, and again, it was fantastic. I really enjoyed the Stella(beer) on tap as it came out ice and cold. We had cannolis for desert and they were the perfect ending to another great meal at NYPD. We will be back.

Most of the reviews of NYPD are above 4 stars, so my husband and I chose this place as the location of our rehearsal dinner. It was conveniently close to our wedding venue, host hotel, and easy fwy access. Plus it was a throwback to NY, where we got engaged. This place is tiny. They don’t do reservations. However, when I called less than 4 wks before our date, they said they could accomodate us all in the patio(for our big group of 30). Awesome! Fast forward to our wedding weekend. It was over 100 degrees, and there was no way we would be out on the patio at 4pm in the sun. The staff quickly accomodated us, and rearranged all the chairs to fit our large party inside. We were lucky not too many patrons were there, and that many of them were finishing their meals. Long story short, the entire staff was friendly, attentive and accomodating. Our party ordered a variety of dishes(pizzas, salads, pastas), all of which I heard was delicious. One of our groomsmen(big guy) ordered the stromboli and he only ate half since it was so big. I stuck to Aunt Pat’s salad, which was a light, large portion and tasty. Husband ordered the chicken wings, which he enjoyed, but I it was a bit cold and bland to me. Garlic knots were ok, but would have wanted more garlic flavor. Our total bill, for our large party, including alcoholic drinks plus tip was almost $ 500. This was a deal for us since we thought it would be $ 800-$ 1000. My husband and I will come back for sure, so we can try the rest of their menu when we’re not in «diet» mode.
