My friend and fellow sushi lover took me here for the first time last week and I must say that I am throughly impressed! Taishow is located in a new, nice strip mall/industrial type shopping center; a little confusing to find, so keep your GPS on. The store front is nice and looks inviting. Upon entering, you may feel like you’ve been in a Japanese place like this before; however I feel it is on the nicer side. We came in 45 minutes before closing, yet did not feel in the least bit rushed or unwelcome. We sat at the bar and had rolls in front of us in less than five minutes. The sushi chef was pleasent and easy to talk to. Although the portions of fish were not the biggest I have seen for the price, I think it was fair. The fish was very fresh and top quality. Now the rice… most likely the best I have ever had. Melt in your mouth, semi-sweet, yet substantial enough to pick up with chop sticks and dip in sauce. I’m not sure how they cook it, but I think they’ve nailed it! While it was my first time and it was pretty empty, I have confidence that the owners run their business like this everyday; given that they wete about to close and made us feel as if we could of stayed there all night, especially after my wife showed up less thanhan 30 minutes to closing. Will definetly return!

Very bad customer service at the front reception ask a couple questions she would just keep walking away and the when we ordered our sushi with out jalapeño she question us why and just told us to go somewhere else.

Found a live bug in the salad. If you cant even take care of lettuce, what faith are we to have in the care of your fish. We did not stay to sample the rest of the ordered meal. Service was good up to that point though…

Master Sushi Chef Steve Taishow is the best in the IE. Everything is made fresh in front of you by the Master himself. Everything is excellent, Uni, Yellowtail, ika natto, Shrimp Boat, salmon skin handroll and a plethora of creative rolls. They even have Kizami Wasabi !! I have been dining here for over two years and always an excellent meal. If you are a thrifty sort and crave AYCE sushi then go elsewhere, this level sophistication will be wasted on you.

First time here tonight, had no idea there was a sushi spot in this shopping center. Needless to say I couldn’t have been more pleased! The owner/chef(Steve) was awesome! Took great care of us, shot the breeze n served very fresh fish! Best place I’ve been to in the IE. Can’t wait be back!

So the service has gone down hill. Don’t come here if you’re on your lunch. They don’t care about their customers just making a dollar. No more positive reviews from me.

Been back several times from my first review 10months ago and this place is busy and we’ll liked by many. Steve is Amazing!

Awesome sushi! Steve definitely knows what he is doing. With the«happy hour» prices, I’ve rolled out of here super-satisfied for under $ 30 — with a tip. Not terribly fancy, but who wants that while chowing down on such good sushi. Tell him I said«hi»!!! It is by far the best place to eat in the immediate area!!!

We love Steve and his amazing sushi that he prepares! That’s how really sushi is supposed to be served! His sashimi, oysters, baked muscles, and rolls are absolutely amazing!

Been here several times. Entrees are good. Fish is pretty fresh. Quality is probably the best in the area. Restaurant is very clean and ambiance is pretty quiet even though there’s a game playing on a big screen. Service is great, always. Waitress is an owner and she is nice… just stoic and not very smiley. People could misinterpret that as rude and not feel as comfortable. Overall, I can count on this restaurant to feed me and my kids well.:)

Hands Down Best Quality Sashimi & Nigiri Sushi in the Inland Empire… I searched & searched Finally Real Sushi… Again I’m talking Sushi not Fancy named Rolls with hardly any Fish in it, Bento box & all these other things people comment on Unilocal regarding Sushi places… What I was looking for is True Quality Sashimi & Nigiri Sushi… If your looking for cheap this is Not your place… If your in a Hurry definitely Wrong place… Though at Lunch during work week they do there best But you will need at least 45 minutes to an hour Tops depending on crowd size… But if your Truly looking for High end Top Quality Sushi Wow Yum Yum melt in your mouth… Please don’t come here though because this is a fairly Small place & I don’t want to wait too long to get a seat… lol…As soon as I saw my plate of Salmon & Yellowtail Sushi & Real Garlic chunks Albacore Roll yummmm… I knew this was going to Taste amazing before I ever took a bite… I’ve seen Quality, I’ve seen bad poor quality you can Tell by the Color & the way it looks… P. S. If your looking for a lot of interaction with the Sushi chef here probably not going to happen… Steve is it… so He’s quite busy serving everyone… Great guy Top Sushi Chef 20 years in Inland Empire… So glad I found this place I’m from Huntington Beach & have been to many places all along the Coast Newport, Laguna etc… & a select few Top places this one is Right there with the Best in Quality… enjoyyy…

Ate here a couple of times for lunch, nice low key atmosphere, we sat at a table not the bar. The waitress was nice no complaints, as for the sushi chef he didn’t seem that friendly either time I went there barely says bye as we are leaving never looking up. The food is good quality I ordered the lunch box and a couple of al carte rolls. They don’t have AYCE pricing is the usual 10.00 and up per cut roll. I have yet to come for happy hour. All the food was good, I recommend this place.

Our company moved to Corona a month ago from Lake Elsinore… we were excited to see sushi so close to us… Worst sushi ever… We went there for lunch. I just ordered the appetizer baked dynamite… it was burnt and cold… it was so disgusting! My co worker ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl. she never got her lunch. there was 4 of us… they brought out our orders and kept telling her that it will be a minute. Well, we all ate our gross lunch and she never got hers. they didn’t even Comp her a lunch to take to go. Service is horrible. the lady is in a bad mood and very unapologetic. Never Will we go there again and we work in the same area Me and my Coworkers love sushi. I guess we got spoiled by Hanna Sushi in Lake Elsinore. the best sushi EVER!

Surprisingly fresh, especially for the inland empire. We really enjoyed the yellowfin, salmon and eel sashimi. The spicy tuna hand rolls were yummy too with very fresh crisp asparagus and cucumber.

One of the best! Chef Steve is friendly fast and an artist. I’ve had sushi all over the world. Food here is fresh, well made, authentic and Steve will remember what you ordered. The servers are very attentive They also offer American Japanese fare as well(chicken teriyaki, etc) but stick with the real stuff :-)

Short and Sweet: Great Sushi, big portions, fresh and adorned for extra excitement. I should have taken pictures of the presentation, as it was truly artistic. Everything exceeded expectations, price was fair and I will be back… a lot
