I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go in due to other reviews. But it turned out to be a pretty good quality food for the place. It not the best I haver ever had but the food tested good and and was warm. Just what I needs. Moreover, the staff was nice and friendly. A good place to stop by for some good quality food.

I am a big fan of Texas barbecue. While visiting from out of state, my wife and I were driving from Dallas to Houston. We took a flyer on Brick Street. The word that comes to mind for the food is bland. We each had brisket and I also added sausage. The brisket seemed old and had very little smoky flavor. The sausage was tasty but not special. Hilshire’s came to mind. My wife had the potato salad as a side. It was incredible how flavorless it was. It just tasted like cold potatoes. She also had the beans which were light on flavor as well. The coleslaw was good as were the onion rings. The saving graces of Brick Street are the atmosphere and the staff. The shop has a country store feel. It stands alone on a little highway. It doubles as a restaurant and convenience store. There are about eight tables inside. The proprietor and staff were very friendly making contact several times to ask how our meal was and to make sure that we had everything we needed. They also had a great rapport with the local customers. I will not eat here again and would not recommend leaving I-45 to give it a try.

I have taken the family there several times on our way through Corsicana. The BBQ is some of the best I have had. The wife and I love the brisket and ribs. Brick Street BBQ is a couple of miles east of I-45 on 287 but its well worth the short trip and easy to find. We enjoyed our meal outside under a nice covered area.

Brick street is probably the best place to hang out if you ever find yourself stuck in Corsicanna Texas. There is almost zero night life in Corsicanna but brick street bbq is trying hard to change that. A rustic country venue with a huge patio area, big screen projector for all your games, inside opens wide with huge bay doors to a bar with pool tables. The best part is the outrageous drink specials. 75 cent draft beers till 7 every night and just $ 1.50 after that. They usually have a daily deal such as 50 cent drafts for $ 1.50 Jäger bombs. They are working hard to get some big name Texas country artist to play there. Recently they have had Bart Crow and J.B. and the moonshine band. On top of that the bbq isn’t half bad. The brisket is dry but the chicken and sausage is amazing.
