I am from out of town and was in SF for business. I try to find haircutters that understand curly hair and that can be hard but Kris really knows her stuff. She gave me a great cut. I waited a week to write this review because I have had cuts that look okay a day or so later but went bad after a week. her cut was good and it got better. She is a nice woman, she listens and you can tell she is thinking about how to approach your hair cut and give you something special. I liked her and loved the cut. I highly recommend.

Kris gives me the best haircuts AND color I have ever had! I took her a picture of a haircut I loved and she made it work for me even though my hair type is different. She has even enhanced the original cut to make it hipper and more chic but still easy to style. I receive many compliments. I went to Kris with some ideas about my hair that were just wrong. She helped me see why I was mistaken and with her insights I feel like I am not fighting my hair anymore. Kris is a real expert — her ideas about hair and color are very sophisticated. She’ll talk with you about every detail before the cut. And, she is in a beautiful little salon that is a treat to visit. Trust her. You can’t go wrong.

Kris Lienhart has cut, colored and styled my hair for many years. I love her style and her thoughtful ideas about what suits me. She is not afraid to suggest pushing the limits a little and I’m always thrilled with the results. It is a treat to visit with her — she has a lovely personality and is funny, warm and good-​hearted.
I recommend Kris highly and without reservations and am confident you will feel the same once you get to know her.

Kris knows hair. She listens carefully to my requests– low maintenance, please– and gives cuts that stay flattering even as they grow out, attentive to the wave and shape my hair takes naturally. It’s always a pleasure to talk with her, as well. I once drove all the way to Grass Valley so that she would be the one to cut my hair, and it was worth it. I’m very glad she’s more conveniently located in Corte Madera now.
