The service has gone down hill to not good at all. The past couple of times, they have forgotten the appetizer. Tonight was the same… Ordered an appetizer & a soup. Instead we got the soup with the dinner and no appetizer. Waiter offered to still bring the appetizer but he did so rather late and he forgot to take it off the bill. Wasn’t happy that I pointed it out to him. Oh yeah, he didn’t show up for most of the meal and we had to ask the bus boy for our drinks after waiting 22 minutes. This is not the way to treat paying customers. I used to like this restaurant, but its not worth going back anymore due to the regular poor service.

Dropped in for dinner last night thinking we’d have a little Asian food but ended up sitting at the bar and having really tasty Mai Tai’s and our favorite Hawaiian fish: Ono and Opah. Everything was delicious and our bartender was a real pro. We’ll be back soon!

I wish I could give a zero star review. Had an order delivered to our hotel. They didn’t give us chopsticks or soy sauce. Definitely not worth $ 70 for three sushi rolls and an appetizer. I’ve never paid that much for such a small amount of food.

Very unusual Thai accent to Food even American fried fish was anything but«usual». The coconut milk ginger bisque and spice peanut sauce with the chicken satay were outstanding! An amazing, quirky little restaurant.

We had a wonderful lunch experience today and both of us look forward to returning. Everyone who greeted us was so friendly, our server, Catherine was great and the fish tacos and fish & chips were perfectly delicious!

The sashimi appetizer has amazing sauce. The poke was not as good as the sashimi. Have always loved the mahi salad and salmon salad.

Decided to try this for lunch today as we had heard they have good poke. I always had the impression this was a fish house and a completely different type of menu than what it is. We tried the original poke and the Vietnamese steak sandwich, the steak tacos and the blood orange lemonade. OMG!!! Everything was so good! Even better than we had hoped. It was way too much food and a really good price. Can’t wait to go back!

EDIT: Minutes after I posted the review below, a representative from the restaurant contacted me and was very professional about resolving my dissatisfaction. Customer service is fantastic at this establishment, and I am changing my rating to reflect this. ___________________________________________________ This has been a long time favorite of both my boyfriend and I. I’m saddened to have to write this but it must be done. We’ve been coming here for years and really enjoy the food and atmosphere. I love bringing out of town guests here and entertaining big groups when we’re indecisive on a place to eat. We especially love the happy hour deals on both food and drinks. Because of our love for this restaurant my boyfriend even went the route of getting a p/t job as a bartender in the SF location for a year or so. The company’s standards of customer service and quality of food and drinks are not up to par. On multiple occasions the host at this location has been completely lack luster and oblivious. From her customer service to her wardrobe(which appears she’s rolling out of bed). The service has been inconsistent and non-attentive each time we’ve visited. Yet still my love for the food and great happy hour continues to bring me back. I decided to throw my boyfriend a surprise birthday party with about 20 of his closet friends at this location and made arrangements the week of for the dinner. I called to request the patio, seating near the fire pit and to make sure it was clear that this was a surprise. My guests were instructed to be there 30 minutes before hand so that the surprise would go off without a hitch. I was called by the hostess and manager the day before and the day of day to confirm my reservation. I confirmed the number of guests and once again that this was surprise. The guest of honor and I would be showing up at 6:30 while our guests will be there at 6. This was verbalized to at least 4 – 5 different staff members. Once arriving at the restaurant the host greeted us, in her pajama looking attire. I told her we have a reservation at 6:30 under the name that was given, her response was, «Oh, your with the big party?» WHATTHEHECK? My boyfriend instantly knew that there was a surprise party being thrown. Great job, Pacific Catch, all that planning and confirming for NOTHING. I was so dissapointed. To top it off the hostess had ZERO remorse for that fact that she just ruined his surprise. Aside from the fact that his surprise was ruined, my boyfriend was pleased with the turn out. Our service was great, the trainee was great the food was great but I could not get over the fact that the hostess ruined the surprise. I let it go for the evening and enjoyed the great company and meal and slept on it. The next day I was still bothered so I thought to call. I was in the service industry for 12 years working as a host, then server, then server trainer, and a bartender myself. I know the inner workings of a company like this. I thought surely the manager will want to hear about my experience. I wasn’t looking for anything but an apology and an ear. I talked to the manager for about 20 minutes voicing all of the above for him to tell me he’d love to send something my way for the unfortunate event. Wow I thought, that was really nice of them to do that. He said i’ll send it out later this week. That was 2 months ago.:( Sorry Pacific Catch — you just lost an adoring fan. I wish it wouldn’t have come to this but you leave me with no other choice.

By the name, you would think it is a fish house. It is and it is not. I would call it an Asian Fusion Restaurant. There are no whole fish or fillets on the menu unless you call«fish and chips» with fish tenders it. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good, just the name is misleading. We had the Calamari which had a very light batter. Great clean flavor and the dipping sauce had some heat and smoke. I had the Poke Bowl with Tuna. My wife had the fried combo of 3 Oysters, 3 Coconut Shrimp and 3 fish tenders. All were good.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. They managed to get the exact right amount of light. It’s dark enough to set the mood, but you can still see all your food. They’re always very busy but we didn’t wait long on a Thursday night. We love the edamame pretzel goldfish they give you to munch on while you’re ordering. We started with the calamari which is just how I like calamari. The little red peppers they have on the calamari just is amazing. I’ve never gotten anything but the Korean BBQ bowl with steak, half-brown rice & half fresh greens. It comes with daikon leaves, shredded fluffy egg, a great sauce, and spicy cucumber. It’s a big bowl and the steak is cooked just right. It is heavy on the sauce so don’t expect to eat all the rice since it’s drenched, but man it’s just so delicious. My boyfriend got the fish and chips, which was on point. The rice bowl one of those dishes you just think about and crave.

I think it was an off night for them tonight. Arrived at 8 and was seated immediately. Our server took some time to make it over to us and quickly apologized when he finally made it. We ordered the steak tacos, calamari, California roll and the shrimp tempura roll. The calamari was good– had a spicy dipping sauce which was very tasty. It was lightly fried and worth ordering again. The steak tacos were delicious and you had a choice of French fries or a salad. The sushi was horrendous and not fresh tasting. The shrimp tempura was soggy and had a very strong smell And taste of «fishy» not good. No crunch at all. It was not made to order and I’m quite sure it was sitting in the kitchen for a long time. It was very cold to the touch so… We returned it immediately and the server took it off our bill. Disgusting. The California roll was not much better. We come here often and will give them a shot again– they usually have great food. Oh well… I guess.

Great lunch here which also eliminated a wait that you usually come across at night. Nice location, like the vibe, casual but also nice enough for a date, you can dress up or down. Service is excellent, the staff is efficient and friendly, food comes out quickly and is presented nicely. We shared the platter with fried fish, clams and shrimp as well as a side of fries and it was pretty good. Neither of us were a fan of the clams, but the rest was great. Prices are a bit high, but given the quality I feel it is justified, they also have specials when you sign up as well as happy hour deals. Great local chain worth checking out!

Four of us decided to try Pacific Catch for dinner on Saturday night. We made a reservation and were promptly seated the moment we arrived… which pleased us, since the restaurant was quite busy and I’ve often been asked to wait at other restaurants despite having a reservation. We started with a round of drinks. The draft beer selection is very nice, featuring craft brews such as Sculpin IPA. Cocktails were well made and delicious. We shared an appetizer of Coconut shrimp and one of the evening’s special, Pacific Crab Chowder. The shrimp were well prepared and the serving was generous, perfect for sharing. The chowder was rich and flavorful-it included crab, potatoes, chorizo, corn-the texture was thick and it had a nice zest to it. The dinner menu is extensive and in addition to the daily specials, there is a lot to choose from-something for everyone. Our server, Olivia, was great at providing details on menu items and giving personal recommendations when prompted. We tried Rice Bowls, Fish & Chips, and a Taco platter. Everything was well prepared and delicious. The Cod used in the fish and chips and the fish tacos was delicious-the coating was crispy but light and the fish was flavorful. These were our favorite dishes. Servings were generous. The manager, James, was attentive and made sure everyone was happy. I look forward to returning to Pacific Catch. Central/Northern Marin hasn’t had a quality seafood restaurant since the old Pacific Café closed. Pacific Catch is a great find-great food, affordable prices, excellent service.

I know this is a small chain, but I thought I’d give them a review anyway. Had lunch here last week with a coworker. It has a great menu, and the food is solid. The place looks nice, and our waitstaff was cordial, attentive and friendly. We shared the calamari, and it was surprisingly good. My bud had the tuna, and I had the salmon. It was a solid performance, everything was tasty and cooked properly — you know how easy it is to mess salmon up by overcooking it, well not an issue here. We had white wine by the glass, the wine list is competent enough for a place like this. If in Corte Madeira, this is a good place to have a nice lunch with a friend, a business partner, or your boo.

i’ve been to this location(and the one in the Marina in SF) many, many times. Try the Calamari. No joke, the calamari is the best you can find anywhere. I dare you to find another calamari this good. Oh and Happy Hour is a definite must. Try the Spicy Pacific martini. The staff is well trained and consistent. See for yourself!

Consistently good happy hour food and great service. We will definitely be back. The happy hour fish tacos are great. The outside patio has a nice fireplace and heaters. This is a great place to sit and relax.

Took my parents out to a mini vacation up north from SF in Marin city and was craving for something that wasn’t our typical Chinese spots. I know there are pacific catches around in SF but eating here with my parents is already a stepping stone to eating out of their comfort zone. When we got here, we were seated quickly. It took us a while to pick some food because they’re really picky on their food when it comes to non– Chinese food. My mom ended up ordering fish & chips(typical when it comes to these type of restaurants for her), dad ordered the kbbq with rice, and I ordered the poke salad bowl. I gotta say… the kbbq ribs flavor was on point… very juicy and full of flavor, the fish n chips were cool too except the fries could be a little more fried as it seemed a little under fried. The poke bowl on the other hand, was something I would go back again for… good portion and tasted FRESH. It ended up being around $ 20 per person after tax and tip. Overall a good experience and wouldn’t mind giving it a second try!

I’ve been to a pacific catch maybe… 6 times and every time I’ve gone it’s because of the following reasons: 1. I’m in an unfamiliar neighborhood and none of the restaurants on Unilocal have 4⁄5 stars 2. Hungry AF and need something before I wither away 3. Feel like eating something decent and healthy 4. Want to eat something that looks colorful in a picture LOL I’ve pretty much tried every rice bowl/salad and they’re all pretty standard($ 15 — $ 16) You can always ask to get half rice(brown or white) and half salad! The poke trios look fun and are nice to order, but they aren’t the best quality– pretty much goes for all the seafood lol but hey– you’re not gonna come here expecting A grade seafood. I don’t think I’ve ever spent more than $ 20 on food(if I get a drink then yah) here which is great. Sweet potato fries are always welcome too! ^_^

I can’t believe I’m saying this — but I had just had a terrific dinner at a shopping mall! No joke. I’ve been to Pacific Catch before for lunch and happy hour(in both SF and Marin), and it’s never disappointed. In fact, I’m always surprised by how good it is. I guess technically they’re a chain restaurant. But damn — the food certainly doesn’t taste like a chain restaurant. I came in here on a Sunday evening with the pickiest of diners(my mom). Full disclosure: neither she nor I are the biggest seafood eaters. We like our white fish and a good salmon. But that’s about it. You won’t find us eating scallops, shrimp, or any other Crustaceans. That being said, we loved every seafood dish we ordered! We started the meal with their signature Hawaiian poke(sushi-grade ahi tuna, sesame-soy marinade, spicy seasonings served with crispy wonton chips). I could’ve devoured the entire dish and called it a day(but I’m glad I didn’t). I would def recommend ordering the poke for happy hour. It’s a great dish to share with the table. For our entrees, we opted for their Chalkboard menu(their weekly, seasonal specials). My mom went with the the grilled swordfish. This generous portion came with a side of mashed potatoes and a cherry tomato medley. My mom loved it! Only minor complaint — the mashed potatoes were a bit on the dry side. But everything else was stellar. I ordered the California salmon(a nicely seasoned piece of grilled salmon served with baked tomatoes and brown rice). I pretty much inhaled the plate. And best of all, it was healthy! Last but not least, we ordered the Dulche de Leche dessert. I’m not really a sweet tooth kind of guy. But damn — this dish might make a convert out of me yet! I would definitely recommend Pacific Catch for happy hour. They’ve got some insanely great bites for $ 5 or less every Monday — Friday(4pm — 6pm) and mouthwatering drink specials. I ordered the Watermelon-tini(a refreshing elixir made with spicy vodka, watermelon, lemon juice, and ginger). My mom went with the margarita(premium tequila, lime juice, agave, salted rim). Both drinks went down smooth. But if happy hour isn’t your thing, then come in here for lunch or dinner, and sit outside if you can. They have comfortable seating, a fire pit, and friendly service. Trust me, you won’t feel like you’re in a shopping mall at all. All in all, my mom and I walked out of the restaurant with big smiles on our faces, full stomachs, and no guilt. We’re lucky to have places like Pacific Catch to prove that eating healthy can be delicious and fun!

I love this location in Marin and we went there on a hot January night as the spot in San Francisco was booked. Unfortunately this was a night that probably was the worst in my history of coming to Pacific Catch. First of all, we had made a reservation and our table was not ready when we arrived. Second, once we were seated it took almost a half hour for us to get silverware, menus and place our order. Third, the portions seemed smaller than normal. It probably took another 20 minutes for our food, and the waiter was hard to flag down for refills on drinks. Even when we got someone’s attention they told us they’d tell our waiter. Eventually our waiter got his act together as food came, drinks and refills arrived etc. My bowl arrived with brown rice which I did not order, but I was not going to complain as I was famished and I didn’t want all those carbs anyway. Unfortunately my 7 year old nephew who’s birthday we were celebrating, was now pooped, so no cake or dessert for everyone. Overall the slowest service and kitchen I’ve had experienced at any Pacific Catch including this one. Everyone has off days and maybe this was theirs. Still love the food and will be back.
