Great view and my date loved it. Initially, I drove to Sausalito, thinking it was another restaurant on the water, but I read the reviews and their pictures were fantastic, so I trekked back over to Tiburon, which was much less busy and was a better view of the city. Calamari was fantastic with a nice spicy marinara sauce, and lemon on top. Bedded on fresh arugala. My pasta was the garlic fettuccine with shrimp and mushroom which was a little salty, but I don’t eat seafood frequently, so I can’t complain. My date’s meal was the fettuccine with mushroom and black truffle, which smelled quite potent, but she absolutely loved it. The view of the city was fantastic and wait staff was very helpful.

Really nice service and delicious, well prepared food. Nice outdoor patio with marina view. We would dine here again next time we’re in Tiburon.

Excellent Italian food on the Main Street of Tiburon. I normally expect restaurants next to tourist spots(it’s really close to the ferries) to be bad but this was really good. Pasta was home-made, tomato soup was made with fresh tomatoes… it was all for real, and really good. The only disappointment(there has to be one) was the complimentary bread with dipping oil. The oil tasted off.

After a day of hiking and delaying our reservation 3 times, Luna Blu served great food with superb, friendly service. This small restaurant over the water may not be one of a kind but the food was right, the price was right, the service was right — it hits all of the benchmarks of an upper crust establishment without the stuffy pretense.

LOVED this place! I’ve had it bookmarked for awhile now(so long ago that I forgot), but my boyfriend surprised me here for our date night and I’ve gotta say… I have a man with good taste. It’s located in a very cute, secluded area. We paid $ 5 to park in the lot across the street. Upon arrival, we were greeted with warm smiles and seated immediately although we were 20 minutes early for our reservation. It was a wet and gloomy day, but not bad enough to deny us of our patio view. There’s heating outdoors and small blankets available on every seat. The restaurant itself is located at an inlet with a dock so we got to watch the tide roll in through the boats. The view was great and even with a little fog, the SF skyline was still visible. So what did we eat? 1) Fried calamari and zucchini w/spicy marinara sauce — it was delicious, but nothing out-of-this-world 2) Cioppino — YES! This is a seafood lover’s dream come true. It was so flavorful and loaded with tons of fresh mussels, shrimp, clams, fish, etc. It had a nice kick to it and the light, creamy stew is perfect for bread dipping. 3) Brussel sprouts and pancetta — this was a side dish I chose that came with my cioppino. The brussel sprouts were smoky and cooked to perfection. Pancetta is, well, pancetta. How could you possibly go wrong? 4) Tortelloni Porcini — rich and satisfying. My boyfriend ordered this, but as soon as I saw it, I told him that we’re sharing. It’s not a very big portion, but is surprisingly filling. I also had the blood orange mimosa, which is perfect if you’re like me and love sweet, fruity cocktails. Overall, I would give the food 4 stars, but am topping off Luna Blu with 5 for the location, service and experience!

Super cute teeny restaurant on the water in downtown Tiburon. They have a small indoor dining area and an outdoor dining area on the water. One of the reasons I like this spot is because it isn’t the norm spots for tourists. A lot of locals frequent this restaurant. For me, personally, I prefer to visit local spots rather than tourist spots. Given that Tiburon is largely a tourist destination, it is refreshing to spend time somewhere off the beaten path. When we arrived, we did not have a reservation. This was an issue given that they were very busy and very popular. Even so, the hostess wanted to make us happy. She literally moved tables around, in the dining area, to accommodate us for dinner. The moving of tables was actually quite hilarious(and it was something that we watched occur later in the evening). The hostess and server and support staff were all great. Friendly, helpful, and quick. We really enjoyed spending time at this restaurant. The food was all great. Fresh ingredients, prepared well, and tasty. We opted for items that were on the healthier side and we ordered a few things to share. I look forward to returning to this restaurant on another occasion. My main reason for giving this restaurant 4 stars(versus 5 stars) is as follows: 1) The dining area is super small and a little cramped. 2) Because the tables and kitchen are all in close proximity, the servers are constantly running back and forth by your table. It is a bit hectic. 3) The food was good, definitely good enough to make a return visit, but not awe-inspiring. Classic good Italian fare.

A favorite of mine in Belvedere! They make a wonderful fresh pasta and the most delicious kale salad in Marin County. Some of the highest quality food outside of San Francisco. I have to eat here every time I am in Belvedere! Gary Crawford San Francsico

The food was good, and the environment was nice. What really bumps this place a from a solid 4 star to a 5 star is the service.

Great restaurant for our anniversary. Started with a refreshing kale salad, then my wife had the sausage linguine which was a great balance of flavor and spice, and I had the filet mignon(medium rare) which was perfectly prepared — the peppercorns are a welcome addition as they add just the right amount of spice. Great dinner spot, will definitely return!

I was wet and cold from being outside taking photos, and Luna Blu was cozy and had seafood. The outside was closed due to the wind, which was fine by me at that point. Service was prompt and friendly, and they brought some lime with the fizzy water. The waitress recommended the cioppino, which was good but not great. A sufficient portion for lunch. I’m not in Tiburon often and will probably explore other restaurants before cycling back, but Luna Blu remains in rotation.

My mom and I shared 2 appetizer and pasta for lunch after walking Blackie’s postures. Meatballs had cheese melted on top and was so good. Kale salad was refreshing with light dressing. The pasta is best I had in this year. I had Dungeness crab pasta. Pasta was homemade and the sauce was creamy but not heavy $ 23. Had a lot of crab meat too. Only minus is that we found dog poop on the floor of outside seating area. We were one of the first customer there that day, meaning they didn’t clean the floors before they open. That was kind of gross.

I tried Luna blur the 2nd time around. I have to say the restaurant has excellent customer service. Crystal went out of her way, and I really appreciate that! I went with my son we tried the fried calamari, which was really fresh and tasty followed by Burata which my favorite! My son love it. We shard cream ravioli which melted in your mouth!

The food was not spectacular, but I must say that the ambiance of this restaurant was nice. It is a cute little restaurant and the view is great if you get a seat by the window or sit on the patio. The service was pretty quick, and our waiter was relatively friendly. Just a note that they validate only one hour of parking. It is nice how they have a parking area not too far away from the restaurant, but be aware that the parking area only takes cash only. I probably won’t be coming back because it’s far from where I live and I have had better Italian food before.

Except Kids Pasta, everything was good. Especially the Cioppino was great like Bouillabaisse. I didn’t try other soup but others said they are also good.

This cute and delicious restaurant located downtown Tiburon with a view of the water! I enjoy their seafood platter and dessert was to die for. Their pasta is delicious! Recently came here with a great friend for his birthday, it was a blast! We laughed, we drank wine, we ate! It was a blast! The pasta I enjoyed was seafood with shrimp and other delicious creatures the ocean has to offer! If you are looking for afternoon tea with scones, this place has a great one! You must call ahead of time and make an order and reservations! You won’t be sorry

I think this is the best restaurant in Marin to take visitors to. I bring guests here because I don’t think they have anything quite like Luna Blu at home. The food is great, the view is great, and the restaurant itself is cozy and intimate. It has the advantages of a tourist spot – it’s right on the water in lovely downtown Tiburon – without actually being a tourist spot. That means you have a chef and staff who care about every meal and creating and pleasing a regular clientele. I’ve been here a number of times for dinner and once for afternoon tea and have had only the best experiences. We took my parents who had flown out from Connecticut here as our«last hurrah» the night before I went to the hospital to be induced in November. The tomato soup was fresh and crisp while the fig salad I had was lovely. I had an amazing sweet and savory pasta dish with pears and a whole creative variety of good stuff I couldn’t have imagined myself and haven’t seen elsewhere. I highly recommend the chocolate mousse for dessert. I think I’ve tried all the desserts and this was the best.(The cassatina was also very good). On this particular night, our dinners took awhile to come out. We hardly noticed and didn’t care. But the hostess – the chef’s wife – came over and offered for our desserts to be on the house. And every time I’ve visited, she and usually the chef, stop by the table. We had such a good time that my parents came back while I was in the hospital to celebrate our daughter’s birth and my husband and I took other relatives there recently on our first dinner out with the baby. Tip: this is one of the few places that serves afternoon tea(by reservation). I took my niece for her birthday and it is a genuine English tea.

Delicious food and awesome service! Glad we stopped by this place on a whim as our experience was great. The restaurant is along the strip adjacent to the water. If available, be sure to ask for outdoor seating as you can get a decent scenic view from outdoors. Service from start to end was awesome. We had at least two servers waiting on us from bringing us drinks, taking our order, delivering food to checking in every so often to see how things were going. The manager also did a quick stop by to make sure we were enjoying our food. I got the cioppio — a seafood medley in a creamy tomato soup. It was absolutely delicious and came with a TON of shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari and fish. The soup was packed with flavor, the seafood was really fresh and the crusty bread that came along the side was perfect for dipping in that broth. The dish was on the pricier side… but for the amount of seafood I was getting I thought it was well worth it. I’d love to go back and try their other options.

Wow! I was so blown away by our experience last night, I hope this review does it justice. The BFFs were in town we are not the«stick to an itinerary» group, so we played it by ear. We started off trying to go see a movie, but that was sold out. Because tiny Tiburon theater. Our next bet was to try to grab dinner, we decided to walk across the street to Luna Blu’s. They were very kind when they told us they had no reservations available, which bummed us because the décor was so lovely. So we stood outside, using Unilocal to find another choice. The hostess came back outside & said she could seat us if we didn’t mind rushing through it, as the table was reserved for 8pm. We were so delighted we immediately said yes. We raced through ordering, trust me everything sounds delicious on their menu. 2 of us went with the Chicken Marsala, 1 with the Salmon Piccata. For sides, we chose the brussel sprouts & roasted potatoes. We fell into silence when our plates were served, everything was so delicious! I literally wanted to lick my plate. My Bellini was also delicious, crisp & sweet. To our surprise, the hostess came back & offered to seat us on the patio for desert do my guests could enjoy the amazing view. The desserts were just as amazing, my Tiramasu was perfect and the Poached Pear dessert I co-opted off Bryant’s plate was even better. We were then introduced to the chef, and got hugs as we left. I’m blown away by the service and genuine care we received. I will definitely be back, and suggest you secure a reservation immediately, if not sooner!

Wow. The patio on the water here is amazing. Great for a date, get together with friends, or a family reunion. Even though I only live an hour away, I felt like I was away on vacation. Highlights: 1. The calamari and zucchini appetizer — lightly battered and just as addictive as popping sheets of plastic bubbles. The marinara sauce that goes with it is perfectly seasoned. I couldn’t get enough of it. 2. Heard that the olive oil here is freshly pressed. Has an amazing floral fragrance to it! The just OKs: 1. The cioppino — the soup base is on point and it’s filled to the brim with seafood, however the shrimp in our’s was not fresh and had a bad aftertaste. 2. The sea bass — lightly pan-seared but tasted lightly fried… I think it was slightly over-cooked and oily. I expected melt-in-your-mouth goodness so I was a bit disappointed. The tomatoes and caper wine sauce on the fish was delicious though! Overall, I would come back again just for the amazing patio and the calamari!!!
