Along with my husband &2 friends we wanted to go to The Boathouse for coffee, desserts, & wine. We found the place closed with all the windows papered up. Too bad as this was a very nice, friendly neighbhorhood spot.

Stopped in here for a quick snack with two young children and three adults. Had hot chocolates and warms croissants, as well as, delicious raisin bread pudding. Cappuccinos were magnificent. The owner and chef, Elizabeth, came by to see how we were enjoying everything. She was very friendly and visited most all tables. We will be back.

I’ve been eyeballing this place from Sam’s to have a more intimate outdoor eating experience and away from the party scene but each time I’ve been there it’s been meh. The first time the service was so so but we did get forgotten about many times and we were sitting by door so not sure why or how they could forget us when menus were sitting at our table. Anyways, food was not memorable but I was still willing to give it a try again. Went back today and wow, waitress was nuts. Granted I see that it’s somewhat busy outside but that did not excuse her service at all. Literally as soon as we walked in the door she pointed and yelled«what can i get you?» we asked for a few minutes and she kept spinning in circles not getting much done but complaining the whole time about how busy she was and blah blah. When someone asked if they could help her she refused. We were literally only trying to grab a snack and drink and in that amount of time I saw her disrespect about 3 customers. You would have thought we had killed her cat with the way she was treating us. We only ordered 4 things and she got 3 of them wrong… I mean it was a dang croissant and she even got that wrong. I heard her yell at a woman to go elsewhere to get coffee because she didnt have time. She might not have realized how aggressive she was coming off but a business’s service is half hte battle and she probably lost 4 customers while I was there. I used to work at a restaurant and it’s unprofessional to turn away service, be rude and to show and take out your stress on people who have just walked in the door. I find if you just communicate then people are more forgiving. Instead of rushing us for our order as soon as we walked in maybe let us know it will be a few minutes while you make the coffees or ran food outside. We definitely will not be returning, I’d rather go to many of hte other restaurants in Tiburon where I’m not treated like a hassle.

I often am racing out of Cornithian Yacht Club and the BoatHouse is my absolute favorite place to eat for breakfast. Marco and Shannon are the best! My son and I have celiac disease, so that means we have to eat gluten free, which isn’t always easy when you go out to a restaurant, but there are plenty of things on the menu and they are always very friendly if I need a substitution. Been coming here for breakfast and lunch for almost 2 years now — not once have I been disappointed in the least. Awesome food, awesome people — need I say more!!!

We went there for the night view of SF. But It was very foggy so we couldn’t see anything. Luckily we found The BoatHouse and had a wonderful dinner there. The food is great, especially the chicken pot pie, and the service is even greater. I love this place. I definitely will go back.

I enjoyed my recent dinner experience here. I was going to go to Murray Circle, but couldn’t get a table, so we decided on this place from a friend’s recommendation. Very homey and tasty dishes Food: — Fig and Goat Cheese Salad: Wonderful; and a good portion — Lamb chops: Very well executed; Came with lots of potatoes and a large salad
— Roast Chicken: Very nice; Again, large portion. Atmosphere: Sat outside. Nice view of the marina. The heater didn’t have an gas it in, but they gave up blankets. Service: Waiter was very nice. The chef(and owner’s wife) came out and introduced herself. One warning: They don’t take Amex.

Wife and I had a wonderful brunch there! Right on the water the deck is small(but cozy), full of morning sun and with a great view of the yacht harbor. Everything was perfection! Orange juice, fruit bowl, omlette, toast, and potatoes! All prepared and plated well. Even the chilled water, served in a bottle, was somehow delicious. Service was great, and friendly. A quiet, and uncrowded place to take your special someone!

I love this place! Great food, excellent drinks and the service is always top notch! I was searching for a place with internet and plugs in to do some work while I had lunch and every place I went to on main st. didn’t have what i was looking for. Marco was extremely nice and pleasant and made me feel very welcomed when I asked for this request. I’ve been back several times because he is a ROCKSTAR! I 100% recommend this place to anyone!

We had the most hospitable experience here. The chef came out twice to greet us and the view is impeccable. The food is to die for and the dessert is necessary. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends and family. What an amazing sailboat view in Tiburon.

Slow but friendly service(and who cares when you’re on a patio listening to boats creak?). Delicious food, more affordable than you might think right on the water.

We had some errands to run in Marin and stopped by The Boathouse for brunch. It was chosen over the better Unilocal’d Salt and Pepper across the street( ) for it’s Bay view deck and a porchetta special listed in the window which I was informed was dinner only when we went inside :( I opt’d for the Burger($ 14) with Swiss cheese($ 1) & bacon($ 1.5) with fries(choice of salad) which came with ripe tomatoes, spring mix type of greens and a slice of onion( ). The brioche bun was toasted and a good burger vehicle, but the meat patty was under-seasoned and although cooked to the requested Med-Rare, the patty was not juicy at all( ) The fries were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside with a sprinkle of parm on them which we really liked. The g/f had the Shrimp Cobb Salad. I don’t know if you’d call this deconstructed( ), but it did allow me to easily harvest all the bacon easily since she’s a pescetarian ;-) A nicely dressed mix of shrimp, butter lettuce, tomatoes, and egg. She was happier with her salad than I was with my burger. Decent service. A small, but nice alternative to the Sam’s down the block. Burger: 3.5 stars Fries: 4.5 stars Cobb Salad: 4 stars

No. No. No. Hub & I gave Boathouse a second chance because we wore out the seats at Morning Café-which is a great place for breakfast, BTW. Ordered a mocha and it was watery. Had the asparagus frittata which arrived lukewarm and had the texture of a dry old sponge. A few greens with sour vinegarette were thrown on the side. Hub’s chicken on salad didn’t have much for chicken and it was bland. I believe that was priced at $ 14. Surprised at the positive reviews. Maybe dinner fare is better. Can’t believe they’re still open.

After the Tiburon Art Show was ending(don’t miss it next year!) four of us strolled around finding a place for dinner. We wanted to eat facing the water so tried The Boathouse. They’ve only been open since May, so they are learning. We were the first one’s in at 6pm on a Sunday and got a perfect table. We started with a red Spanish wine, Mencose, that was very good. We were immediately given water, bread and butter. Appetizers consisted of salmon spread with toasts and asparagus in a lovely sauce, topped with fresh Parmesan cheese. Very good. Two of us had the hamburger and really enjoyed them. I had the lamb chops with delicious potatoes and a Greek salad… great! Hubby thought the steak and frites were good. We had no problem getting service and everything came out in a timely manner. A nice touch was when the owner came out to talk to her customers. She told us that the restaurant just started serving dinners, and working on outdoor heaters. We were content on a lovely summer evening facing a beautiful view with good food and drink. We want to come back for brunch!

At least it’s different. Tiburon suffers from a lack of decent eateries that don’t cater specifically to the tourist crowd, and I’m glad this place isn’t quite as much a tourist trap as its next door neighbor, Sam’s. The food was decent. I had a really good Nicoise salad, and we sat outside at a nice seat on the deck. I liked the specials that they had, and even the regular menu items seemed interesting. Decent selection of spirits, but don’t get your hopes up for the beer list. The name«boathouse» screams English to me, but there’s certainly more of a French/Mediterranean vibe going on here. Our waiter was a Parisian, and his service was about on par with what one would expect from a young French waiter who was just here for the summer. Translation: he seemed a bit uninterested. Fair enough.

Food was ok, but service sucked! Went to dinner with my boyfriend and 2 dogs. They said dogs were allow on back patio. We ordered and then a manager comes out and says dogs aren’t allowed. Then as we are going to leave without touching our drinks, waitress says it’s ok, just try to hide them. 10mins later a chef comes out and says no dogs allowed. Please note that a table of 6 on the patio CLEARLY had a dog and no one so much as mentions to them a word about their dog. Possibly due to the large bill that 6 people generates??? After we are basically kicked out, I went back in to voice my frustrations and a server/manager/bus boy/I don’t know, asks me how old I am!?! I am 27 but look younger. But why the hell does that matter? Please don’t go here. Rude and discriminatory people work here. I was very offended.

Our experience here was fantastic, the food was stellar. The view of the bay, boats and city were enchanting and the staff was friendly and warm. A few notes: — The food is fresh, unique and delicious. Everyone in my group agreed the granola was the best they’d ever had. — They had no problem preparing something simple off-menu for a toddler. This saved us some headaches. Thanks! — Seating outside is limited but worth the wait on a beautiful day. — I marked as –not– good for groups. Why? The Boathouse is just a bit too cozy and intimate for a noisy group to not interfere with others. Groups of less than six will be fine.

This is a carefully prepared full-flavor restaurant. Everything tastes house-made, and the palate of all the dishes is in tune with itself. We had to choose carefully as we wanted to try everything. We ended up with Bellinis, meaty white bean soup(tasted home-made), croque monsieur with fries(perfection) and corned beef and hash(really: the best I’ve ever had, and the poached eggs were done to a «t»). Well, we realized that we didn’t have to choose carefully because we’ll be back to try everything else on the menu. Can’t wait till they start serving dinner!
