I began to ask a question to the woman(probably in her 40s) working today when she hurried away from me; assuming I was wrong and she didn’t in fact work there, I stopped mid-sentence. She turned around and abruptly yelled at me, demanding that I finish my thought, a thought to which she responded in an extremely demeaning and matter-of-fact manner. I left the store offended and unhappy. Great cards though… bummer the customer service was so terrible.

We went in to buy wrapping paper for a wedding gift. We love papyrus and the first woman to help us was sweet and helpful, finding us large bags for ½ off. We went to the car to grab the gift to see if the bag would fit(it didn’t) and when we got back the lovely woman was helping someone else. We were then helped by a young blond girl who offered the worst customer service I’ve ever received. We asked to have it wrapped($ 10 we would gladly spend) but this woman fought us on everything only offered us the most expensive paper and argued over how to wrap it. In the end we left unwrapped and genuinely unhappy with our experience. Disappointing.

I love this store! Contrary to the other reviews, I find the salepeople to be delightful and helpful. Yes, the cards are a little pricey, but they are so beautiful — AND they have a rewards program. They also have cute, fun gift items. Lisa helped me today — very friendly and helpful. Check out their sales — great bargains!

These are all the same. This location happens to be the most convenient for me AND next to a Starbucks… otherwise, two stars.

I was visiting Sausalito on busniess and went to lunch near the Village in Corte Madera(beautiful outdoor shopping mall). Papyrus was nearby, so I decided to take a look inside. I walked into the entrance and was not greeted at all. I see at the register that there are 2 employees standing behind the counter, CHATTING. I make my way to the birthday card section and the Papyrus employee(male — Caucasian with a bald spot) overlooked my presence. I picked out a fun birthday card and made my way to the register to find a knick-knack to go along with the card. Not once did the 2nd employee offer any customer service(woman in her early 40’s). I left the card and immediately left the store. It’s no wonder Papyrus is closing down so many of their locations. Not only because of the economy, but their lack of customer service. If you need a greeting card, want to save money, and don’t care about customer service I recommend Target or Walmart. Support your local card shops instead, like PINESTREETPAPERY(great hand-made cards at reasonable prices, good customer service, more creative cards, lovely location and double the amount of knick-knacks)

Friendly, friendly helpful location. Surprisingly lacking in baby-related cards although every other shop on this end of the mall is baby related, but they do make up for it in targeted baby gifts. The usual fantastic array of Papyrus items, although it is obvious this location dials in on more of the higher end specialty papers, letter press, etc. than the traditional mall locations… Keep your eyes out for any of the overstock /outmoded greetings cards… great to have on hand!
