Comfort Inn

It’s a Comfort Inn — not a Ritz so I don’t know what other reviewers are expecting or complaining about! It’s CLEAN and COMFORTABLE AND INEXPENSIVE! Hot coffee, nice & accommodating staff and did I say clean? Bed comfy too. I would recommend and be back when visiting my daughter at college.

I had to write, after reading the only review here was so negative. A Comfort Inn is not the type of place I usually write Unilocal reviews, I tend toward locally owned, funky, hidden spots — and even then, only if I can offer some new info.
This place is fine, for a Comfort, quite nice actually. We are staying the weekend, while skiing two days at Greek Peak. The room was clean, we are staying the suite, and the jacuzzi is bigger than I thought it would be – and nice hot water after a day on the slopes.
The breakfast is decent and included, fruit, fresh eggs, weak coffee but, with Coffee Mania not too far, I can over look that.
We brought our dog, and there is a woods next door for walking.
The location is convenient, but nothing of note to walk to besides a Perkins, and a bunch of fast food places. For the price, it is decent place to stay. Maybe in the past year they did upgrades or something.

I travel 12 – 15 days per month for business. Usually with hotels (especially Comfort Inns) if you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all, but not here. This was a disaster. The bed had hair in it, the shower had mildew in it, and the only thing their parking lot was missing was a chalk outline, thanks to five of their nine outside lights being out. I forgot to book a non-​smoking room (shame on me), and when I asked to be put in one, they told me it would be a $ 25 upcharge. Since it was just one night, I figured I’d suck it up and stay in the smoking room. Big mistake. It was literally difficult to breathe, and when I pulled back the tattered curtain to find that the window didn’t open, I knew I was in for a long night. I tried calling the front desk FOUR times over the course of two hours, and they never answered. When I went to check out the next day, I waited at the front desk for five minutes. Nobody came, so I left my key card on the counter and got out of there. I had to go to a laundromat do all my laundry the next day because my clothes smelled so bad. Horrible experience, stay away!
