My wife and I have stated here half a dozen times in the past several years and love this hotel. They have giant whirlpool tubs available in some of the rooms. The staff are always friendly, the hotel is very clean and nice. Holiday Inn is my go-to chain of hotels because they have made an effort to upscale and to remodel older properties. This brand new hotel is lovely. One of our favorite hotels.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights, over President’s Day weekend. I got a good deal on Priceline, and I was pleased with the overall experience we had here. The good: Very clean hotel, looks brand-new. Great free hot breakfast included every morning with juices/hot drinks, pancakes, bacon/sausage, scrambled eggs, cinnamon rolls, oatmeal, cereal, pastries, and fruit. We were impressed by the selection, especially for a FREE breakfast! Very friendly, accommodating front desk staff, nice-sized rooms with all of the amenities(coffee maker, hair dryer, microwave AND fridge). Also, nice heated indoor pool and a business center with two computers. And might I mention… very comfy beds! Also, the hotel is walking distance to Perkins and other restaurants, and very close to downtown Cortland. All of these were huge pluses during the snowstorm we found ourselves in while staying here. The bad: This hotel isn’t well constructed. It was one of the noisiest hotels I have stayed at, especially on Saturday night, when it was booked. We could hear talking through the wall in the room next to us, walking(and banging) over our heads in the room above us, people’s showers and toilets running, and lots of noise from people passing through the halls and slamming their doors. We slept OK, but I wore earplugs. I wouldn’t have been able to sleep without them. The other downside for us was lack of whirlpool/hot tub. after skiing, we would have loved to soak our sore muscles. In addition, we were given a room with two double beds, and they told us there were no more King rooms left. We spent two nights squished into a double bed. It worked, but our stay would have been more enjoyable if we had a King room. My recommendation: ask for TOPFLOOR room, away from the elevators(at the end of the hall) with a King bed, if you are a couple.
