This is a great place. Food is freshly made every day and the owners are there so quality of service is always great Fun Friendly place to eat.

Food was good. Very flavourful. Had the appetizer platter. all were good. portions were good as well. Then the chicken kabob was a bit dry and seemed over priced. Should definitely try the appetizers again.

Seriously amazing food! Best gyro I’ve ever had. The owner and his daughter were so friendly. Wonderful experience. Couldn’t have asked for a better lunch.

I’m a big fan of middle eastern food, so I was happy to find this place on a recent road trip. The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t that great either. We got the fabulous 5 appetizer and thought it was all pretty good, but the falafel tasted like it came out of a box. We had the chicken kebab platter, beef/lamb kebab platter, and chicken and rice soup for our entrees and they were all rather bland. Plus for $ 12 I expected a bit more than just a plate of rice and kebab… Maybe some sauce or something to add some flavor(it did come with a side salad or soup, but meh on those too). I did ask for garlic sauce but they didn’t know what I was talking about. We got the baklava and rice pudding for dessert and loved both. They were probably the highlight of the meal. They had recommended the fish wrap and I honestly wish I got that instead since the platters really weren’t anything special.

It’s so so. The food portion is small compare to what I had in others. The service is one big merit but hey, I am here because I am hungry.

Ate here en route to NYC from Rochester, NY Food was edible but nothing to write home about. I had the chicken gyro and my squad all got falafel that they said was pretty good.

Great dining experience. The food was phenomenal, the staff was friendly even though we ordered just before closing, and the prices are great. Three of us had the falafel pita wrap(I highly recommend their baba ganoush), and my uncle had the kibbie. My dad, who is not a vegetarian, could not stop talking about how delicious the falafel pita was. All four us were so impressed with the flavors and portions. We also tried the rice pudding and lentil soup which I would also highly recommend. Both the wait staff and the owner were so genuine and friendly. We will definitely come here next time we pass through Cortland!

Delicious! Every menu item I’ve tried here has been fantastic. The staff is incredibly friendly, the service is timely, and you get a lot of food for the money you pay. I particularly recommend their hummus and their baklava. I’ve had many other types of hummus and baklava, and theirs is by far the best. Totally worth the trip to Cortland if you live in a surrounding area and are craving good Middle Eastern fare

Charbel and Hannah are wonderful people and provide tasty food. We love the taboule, hummus, lentil soup, and fish pita. We often go for Lentil soup at lunch time. Iced tea is great too. Have not found much that we do not enjoy. Nice neighborhood atmosphere too!

Stopped here randomly while headed back from a road trip to visit my bae’s fam in the good old US of A. I ordered the mixed veggie plate, which came with falafel, tahini, pickles, salad, hummus, baba ganoush, and side of pitas. The food was very tasty and fresh. The hummus was so creamy and tasty. I also tried a bite of the chicken shishtawok skewer — very tender and flavourful! Service was friendly and efficient. I would absolutely return if I am in this area again.

The restaurant offers great food and excellent service. Great stop on our way up north. The resto is located just a few minutes from the highway, worth to stop by.

Great hummus but they serve it with cold pita. Seriously? Warm it on the grill for thirty seconds. My daughter had the chicken gyro and I had the regular(lamb). The meat was okay, but skimpy. The tzatziki was flavorless. The service was decent, I will give it that. I probably would not come back.

I visited this place during a bachelorette weekend in the spring, and it was so good, I came back to review! Fantastic Mediterranean food, with the best baba ghanoush I’ve ever had – the tantalizing, smoky flavor was addictive. Hummus was also excellent, along with everything else we had. Atmosphere is nothing special, and it was quite busy, but that was understandable; I think I was there on a Friday night. Wish I was passing through Cortland more often!

I hate to give this place 3 stars especially since it had the potential to receive better. The food overall was pretty good, minus the falafel and lentil soup. I am middle eastern and I am sorry that is not how you make lentil soup or falafel. Thus, my review may be a little bias and critical. I got the starter with the five choices; falafel hummus, baba ghanoush, salad, grape leaves. It was a huge appetizer and for a great price. I liked the baba ghanoush and the grape leaves the best! As I said above the falafel sucked. The service was not bad, however they served my chicken enter a little undercooked. The staff did their due diligence and corrected the issue though. I enjoyed the rice as well. Overall my experience was good but could have been better.

Having spent a considerable amount of my formative years with this being the only non-american food place that was worthy of eating at, and then having lived in some big cities around the world, and then having come back after all that and eaten here again, I can safely say that the food here is GOOD. You will not leave disappointed. Their lentil soup always was and always will be my favorite. They make a mean baklava. They keep the falafel and gyro pitas simple and elegant. I also suspect, but have no confirmation, that their stuffed grape leaves are actually made in house. This is also a good place to go if you have companions that only likes«American» food but YOU want something satisfying and delicious too. They have choices to please the less adventurous among us while also satisfying the foodies among us. Vegetarians will find this to be a rare oasis in Cortland NY.

One of the best possible places to visit if you are looking for vegetarian & vegan options in Cortland. I grew up in Cortland and make it a point to eat here as often as possible when visiting with my family. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff always remembers us and welcomes us back. They are so accommodating and make excellent recommendations. The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful. And though I love Cortland pizza it’s nice to have some fresh, ethnic, healthier options. The Baba ganoush is amazing(love the lemon) The falafel is crispy and flavorful. I recommend trying a sampling to find your favorite. Passing through on 81 or going to Cortland State this is a major Cortland plus.
