This is really too bad. They were a decent BBQ place. The ribs, brisket, and pork were all very tasty and pretty moist. The chicken and turkey tended to be a little overdone IMO as I usually found it to be fairly dry. The sides were good and they had a nice selection of sauces. Hopefully, other new restaurants in Corvallis will pick up some of the BBQ slack and make up for some of those good offerings.

Unfortunately this place has been closed down forever. Thank you for the good memories BrewBQ, don’t know where well will find awesome BBQ anywhere else in town.

Flavorless meat, did not taste well seasoned or smoked. I was disappointed being that this place specialized in barbecue. The side dishes on the other hand were tasty. I liked all of the sauce options, but real barbecue is about the taste of the meat. The set up of the restaurant is nice though, it’s like it’s straight out of the south. Good brews on tap and the whiskey bar was a nice touch. I would go back for the Mac n cheese, but block 15 has much better barbecue.

My wife and I stopped in here for happy hour and were impressed by the prices and food. All pints of beer were half off, so we paid $ 3 for pints of Great Divide’s Yeti. The happy hour food was also very fairly priced and tasty. We got hush puppies and a basket of curly frees for $ 2 total. We would definitely come back.

After a great day at The Willamette Valley Bird Symposium #willamettebirds2016 I needed a bite to eat on the way home. Saw two of my favorite words BBQ/brews in this places sign and strolled into a lively line — ordered the BrewBQ Bowl and had an Oakshire IPA, tried a few sauces and am leaving most satisfied

Very heavy stuff. Not for the light hearted. Their deep fried mac and cheese is so bad that it’s good. Nice selection of bbq sauces.

We stumbled upon this place while cruising downtown. Excellent brisket, service and atmosphere! We will be back!

My husband and I visited Brew BQ for the second time. The first time we ordered takeout and expected dining in to be better. Their meats are ok(chicken a little dry) but they can improve their sauces. Good sauce would help the meat be less dry. We love Bomack’s so compared to their sauces these need help — they should be thicker and have a range of heat to the favors. The jalapeño poppers were great. The scalloped sweet potatoes aren’t really scalloped, they are mashed and shaped into a square. The cole slaw was very good especially with the hot vinegar sauce on it.

Delicious BBQ. Lots of gluten free and soy free options. Loved the baked beans and the chicken.

Poor service and bad food! The girl behind the counter couldn’t care less that this was our first visit and didn’t know the menu. We could barely get her to stop talking to the cook to take our order. Food wise, the meat was fairly tasteless and the bean bake was burned. BoMacks is definitely the BBQ place to go around here. Will not be going back to Brew BQ!

Bland and unseasoned barbecue. Be prepared to spend a decent amount of money for fairly small portions. Visit my blog for more details and pictures:

I was really impressed with my first experience at Brew BQ. My boyfriend had gone once with friends, and he suggested we go here when his parents wanted to take us out for dinner. I’ve had some hit or miss experiences with BBQ places in the past, and I tend to be on the picky side when it comes to food, so I was a little nervous. Luckily, as I said, I had a fantastic experience! I ordered the grinder with chicken(& no slaw, not a fan). The cashier was incredibly helpful — once he knew most of us were first timers, he explained the menu and how things were served. Once he said that the grinders were served with just meat on a(delicious!) home made bun with all the toppings(pickles and onions) on the side, I was sold. The chicken had awesome smokey flavor, even without any sauce on it. I ended up dousing it in a mix of the #1(sweet & sticky) and #2(hot & spicy) sauces, which was a fantastic combination if you like a little kick and a little sweet in your BBQ. I also got a side of the«tails,» which reminded me of the kind of curly fries you get in the big block at the fair, just a little darker. Overall they were a good compliment to the rest of my meal, but I ended up too full to finish them. The real star of my meal, however, was the candied salmon skewer. Oh my god, that thing was so perfect I think I dreamed about it last night. Essentially, it’s a really nicely smoked salmon with some kind of sweet glaze, served on a bamboo skewer. I LOVE salmon, especially smoked salmon, and if it’s your thing too, do not miss out. The salmon had the most incredible smokey flavor, with the right amount of sweetness. It could be easy to miss on the menu, snuck into the long«Stuff» list, but it is absolutely worth the $ 3. Everything I had was great, the customer service was awesome, and everyone who went enjoyed their meal and only had good things to say. I thought that the prices were not only fair, but really reasonable for someone on a college kid budget(my sandwich was under $ 7). I’ll definitely be going back, and I’ve already told my boyfriend that this is the place we’re headed for our anniversary in the fall. I just wish I’d known about this place over the last 4 years I’ve gone to OSU!

The burger was a very tasty burger. My wife had the brisket sandwich, and while it was a little small, it has great flavor. The jalapeño poppers were the real star of the show. While the amount of heat in each popper was wildly different, some were mild and other scorching, overall the flavor was amazing. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a solid meal in Corvallis.

Sorry. Growing up in the South, I always hold up hope that NW BBQs will be good, at a minimum. This place? Nope, nope, nope. Everytime I’ve eaten here(at least 7 times) the meat is tough and packed with too much fat. The fact that they will not serve fried okra because it’s served in the restaurant the owner has next door irritates me, as BBQ screams okra! Honestly, the food is overpriced for what one receives. I think about the best BBQ I’ve eaten in my life, including on the streets of Kansas City and in a great place in my hometown of Shawnee, OK(Van’s!),…and I am just saddened. Can’t give it more than one star.

I’m skeptical of BBQ places. Especially in Oregon. No offense. And dry rub places really freak me out. You might as well be advertising your meat as dry, dry, dry. Not this place! I had come here while working with a colleague and it was my treat. We ordered a full rack and a couple of sides and tried about 4 different bbq sauces. First…the ribs. They were tender. Ok off to a good start. They were juicy… OMG! And perfectly seasoned. He has several bbq sauces to choose from every day and some of them change seasonally. Think blackberry bbq sauce. I drool everytime I think about it. Their all house made and there’s like 6 or 8 of them. Next…the sides. We ordered the slaw and I was intrigued by the collards with mushrooms so we got that, too. The slaw was clean and simple and served with a side of vinegar. It was a nice change from overly mayonnaised glop you run the risk of getting when ordering coleslaw out. The collards were… life changing… with whole mitake mushrooms! I was in heaven. Truly. Lastly…the beer. There is a very well rounded selection of rotating craft beers available on tap thoughtfully picked to go with the food. I want to try the burgers next. The burgers start with whole cuts of beef cold smoked and ground in house. He does all his own smoking and and grinding. That sounds perverse but who cares! Cold smoked ground beef burgers! I want one. Or 5.

I ordered a la carte, brisket sandwich and chicken breast and wing. Friendly staff, sauces were truly delicious, and décor is appropriate to the setting. Now… the food itself. I wanted to go back into the kitchen and hug the guy. It is the best BBQ I’ve had in Corvallis, and perhaps the best I have had anywhere except off my own grill. I did not eat any bread from the sandwich. No point. The flavors would have been too muted. This is dry-rubbed barbecue. If you do not slather with sauce, it will be dry. Add bread to that and no sauce, and god it must be awful. To all the non– and newb foodies out there we foodies have this great tip to help you enjoy what you eat! ACCEPTFOODTHEWAYIT’S PREPAREDANDEATITTHEWAYIT’S MEANTTOBEEATEN. Put malt vinegar on fish and chips, ketchup on fries and bbq sauce on dry-rubbed barbecue. I’ve never been to Kansas City, but this is the closest I have ever felt to it. I cannot wait to go back.

This was my first visit and I was really happy with my service and food. The décor is right on point and I liked the options of alcohol. I was happy to find they carried so many Two Towns ciders! When we ordered, they were out of ribs and there was an hour long wait for more. We ordered something small then came back later for the ribs. I’m so glad we did! The service was awesome and it was totally worth the wait!

Another meal out while here from CO. Stopped in Corvallis after a ~4 mile trail hike, so we were all hungry. I asked about the poppers first of course. Order consists of 4, they are smoked and then stuffed with a mixture of cream cheese and bacon. Ended up ordering 2 orders. They all varied some in spicy hot level but they were so fricking good! I ordered the special, the burger. If you want to try it have them tell you how they prepare the meat. It was so good. No ketchup, mustard or anything. Just the cheese it is cooked with and the large slice of tomato that was served on the side. I would order that every time. We had the hush puppies, delish. Had some of the Mac and cheese, probably would not order that again. Everyone else’s meals hit the spot as well. I know it is a BBQ joint nut I would come back here for the burger and poppers.

Well they certainly serve up a big ol’ plate o’ meat to you in a big hurry at this place. In fact, it’s served up much tooooooo quickly, if you catch my drift. Beings as there was no discernible heavenly scents of the ‘cue wafting through this place, the evidence pointed at the meat either being pre-cooked/grilled else where, then reheated and served at the building, or precooked there by conventional means and served later. No need to drag out the review for an equally dreary meal. The brisket was dry as in *kaff kaff omg kaff kaff*, the ribs flavorless, the sauces lukewarm and sweeeeeeet, the chikcken and bacon mac and cheese held such initial promise, like the meats, was bland bland bland. Other than the rapid service, this place sadly failed pretty much across the board. This place can’t possibly be Beaver Nation’s go-to spot for the Q???

I’m new in town, so I’ve been trying to eat at new restaurants as much as possible. I came upon this place and I was very impressed. The atmosphere was homey, it reminds me of a Southern restaurant with the wooden tables and the wall décor. There are 2 T. V’s on both sides of the room. The prices are great. I ordered a meal with a half pound of ribs, a quarter pound of brisket, a quarter pound of pork butt, curly fries and a large mac and cheese for a little over $ 30. I ate with my 2 little cousins and we had leftovers. The food came out quickly, which is always a plus! And I enjoy how there aren’t sauces already put on the meats, so you get to choose how saucy and what flavor you wanted. They have 6 different sauces as well. Sweet N’ Sticky, Hot N’ Smokey, Blackberry Bourbon, Mustard, House Hot Vinegar and their seasonal root beer sauce(which was actually one of my favorites). The mac and cheese was super rich and cheesy! So good and it’s a must have. The kids and I enjoyed our meals a lot and will definitely be returning.
