Great tasting sandwiches. Had a concern about high chairs to bring my daughter, the owner responded within minutes and let me know when the high chairs were fixed. Great service from staff and ownership.

I really love the bread at this place. I used to be able to finish a large meatball by myself. Now, it is too much for me. I tried many of their sandwiches and always like what I got. I do like the OSU themed décor.

I’ve read some of the other reviews and I don’t understand how my experience was so different from everyone else’s. The service was fine but the food was not. Apparently they have fresh bread but mine seemed stale. The portions weren’t generous and my sandwich tasted weird — maybe they used Miracle Whip instead of mayo? The macaroni salad tasted like Reeser’s macaroni salad and the broccoli salad seemed like it has no dressing at all. The giant chocolate chip cookie was crumbly and burned. This place WAS very busy and no one else seemed disappointed in their food so maybe it’s just me. But it’s not.

So yummy! The turkey is fresh and they weren’t shy with the meat. Bread is delicious and all other toppings as well! One complaint is no American cheese!(I’m not classy when it comes to American cheese, gotta have it) Asked for bacon and they weren’t shy with it! Love that!

Probably the most unfriendly sandwich shop in Corvallis. We went Friday evening(4−3−15) and encountered a counter clerk that acted like we were wasting her time. No hello, no smile… nothing. We order pretty regularly but not sure we will be back anytime soon after dealing with the constantly unfriendly staff day in and day out.

Went here for a sandwich 3÷25÷15, ordered an Italian sub, while waiting for my sandwich a girl came in and asked what they had for $ 1.00. She had 2 choices, a bag of chips or a brownie. After the girl counted out her change for the brownie she came up 4 cents short. The girl at the counter said too bad and sent her away… I said«here’s a buck get your brownie’…she thanked me and left. I received my sandwich, went back to work and proceeded to eat, while eating I was amazed at the lack of meat on this almost 9 dollar sandwich, I removed the top bun and found 1 small piece of ham stretched across the entire sandwich, a couple of pieces of salami, and three small pieces of pepperoni. In total about .50 cents worth of meat… I WILLNOTBACKTHEREFORLUNCHAGAIN!!!

Great sandwiches. Pricing is great for the amount of food you get. Be advised that a «Small» is not very small, it’s actually pretty big. The length of the sandwiches is not what makes the portions so large, it’s the width. Other sub shops have«foot-long» subs, but with skinny bread. University Hero’s bread is super wide so you get a ton of food on it. My personal favorites are the Italian and the Turkey Delight(cranberries and cream cheese… yum!). A Corvallis institution. Go there. Often.

Very pleasantly surprised at the quality of food here and the price. Decent meal with soup for a decent fare. Sandwiches were tasty, but we think the soup just comes out of a big can. Can’t have everything, I guess. Service was fast and not too loud in there.

The best sandwiches in the Willamette Valley… from my tastebuds’ point of view anyway. I went there about once every 2 weeks when I was in undergrad at OSU. I have got to get back to Corvallis, if for no other reason than going there and getting one of their delicious sandwiches. The two or three turkey sandwiches on the menu are all amazing. It’s been a long time since I had one last but the bread is what sets them apart I think. It is deeeeelicious. It’s like 1000 times better than Subway. And of course the prices are affordable because we students couldn’t afford the price that their sandwiches are really worth. If I ever become super rich, I want to open a sandwich shop exactly like this in Los Angeles.

I have ordered there about eight times over the last seven months and really like the sandwiches, the freshness, and the value… but the service indicates that I am an interruption and this has been a consistent experience. it has not been busy during the times I arrive and today I was the only one in line. The order was prepared incorrectly and she was so much in a hurry I had no time to add to my order. Its only the sandwich that has brought me back.

This place is a Corvallis staple. Bread is fresh daily, I prefer the onion bread when I get my Avocado delight add cucumber hold the mayo. I also make sure to get a peperoni cheese stick for later, they’e great cold or heated. Not expensive at all and portions are large.

This place makes one good sandwich. The bread is very tasty and for about a buck or two more than Subway, you’re getting much higher quality veggies and meat. I came in around lunch time on the first day of the term, was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I didn’t stay to eat but the décor is nice. Beaver stuff everywhere, nothing special but hey, it’s a sandwich shop.

Favorite subs in Corvallis. The veggie one is very filling, I would say my only complaint is that I order mine without cheese and mayo and usually they still charge me extra for avocado. The service is great, they’re super fast and I love how you can buy the day old bread, perfect for making subs at home. I refuse to eat at Subway anymore.

I’d have given this a fifth star if only they would have updated their menu from 1991, Otherwise, good eats for dirt cheap. My favorite sandwhich bread. I have no idea why any sane rational person would go to subway instead.

Really great subs, cookies and soups. The fresh bread is fantastic and they are locally owned business. They cater and deliver orders — I’ve held small meetings a few miles out of town and they’ve never charged more for the distance. The ingredients are fresh, walls are covered with OSU colors and photos and the staff is friendly. You can order at the counter or phone/fax your order in. The cookies are to die for but be warned bring a friend(or two) cause one of their cookies is too big to eat alone.

Diagonally across from City Hall, lunch there almost everyday, even w/Curt who is a highbrow kind of guy. Bob and his ladies rock. Food is good too. Great supporter of OSU and Corvallis Knights. #CorvSMB

Pretty good sandwiches. Had this one called turkey delight and it was delicious. Interesting use of ingredients when they put cranberry sauce in the sandwich. Makes it taste like thanksgiving. One thing though, they really lke the OSU Beavers, so if you route for the ducks or Oregon, then duck the hell out of there. Parking is around the back and it’s kinda small.
