Absolutely can’t go anywhere near Costa Mesa or Newport without stopping in for a cup of this AMAZING coffee! Highly recommend!

Very cute location. Good sunny vibes and great coffee. All the shops and restaurants are great too so the espresso is a great addition to the full experience

First time visit. Ordered an Ethiopia in the v60. Decent tasting coffee but was almost luke warm. I sheepishly asked the barista to make another but to pre warm the mug(was surprised that they aren’t doing this all the time). Second cup came back much better, but barista didn’t seem too eager to create a good experience for me. Overall assessment: coffee was decent, but the level of service was lacking. I was expecting more paying over $ 4 for a cup of coffee. Definitely lacks the passion you find at other roasters like Portolla. Probably won’t come back.

I was the big fan of this place… It was always nice to visit. But now the only thing that brings joy is coffee. The service is bad(I am talking about girl barista who spend most of time talking with her friend but forgot about her customers). And it is not nice to serve coffee in the broken cups. I guess now I have one place less to enjoy coffee.

This is the coffee place I always try to drag my friends to when they suggest Starbucks. Their ginger-spice chai is actually the only reason I ever come here, so I can’t speak to the coffee but… Service is always friendly and prompt(I’ve been here upwards of thirty times and they’ve never messed up my order)! Space is limited, which is something of a bummer when you want to grab a table and chat, but it’s The Lab, so there’s always outdoor seating when the weather is nice. They even have little gluten free snacks, which is great, because I bring a friend with Celiac here on the regular. It’s maybe a little pricey, but not like, compared to coffee places in Orange County.

Perfect place for a quick cup of joe. Luckily I came early in the morning on a Saturday, so the parking wasn’t too bad yet. I was able to find parking right in front of the coffee shop and got myself a raw cacao mocha which was delicious. I don’t like sugary drinks, so I love that they didn’t sweeten this one. They have a counter though, with a variety of sweeteners for those who like a little sugar in their drinks. The mocha was rich and delicious. If you’re looking for a quick sip, I’d highly recommend grabbing a drink here.

Stopped in for some coffee, tea and snacks with friends after some delicious poke bowls next door at Calipoke. Service was friendly and the barista was outstanding. Everything we ordered was tasty and hot! In our group, we had expresso, coffee, chai and hot chocolate and everyone loved their drinks — loved the artistic designs created using the froth, very cool. We tried some of their chocolate chip cookies, which were delicious! I will definitely go back when I have the opportunity to visit«The Lab», where they are located.

Seriously a diamond in the roughage. The outdoor seating is spacious and super cool. Reminds me a bit of Bergamot station in SM. Just a little artsy hide away for your creative side. There are a couple other businesses in this little area and I think one is a gallery and one is a sushi restaurant. This coffee shop offers the best of the best though. The cappuccinos are top of the line and the baristas are crazy cool. Loads of parking and seating and chill out spots. And the trees wear sweaters! Haha

Seriously, 20 minutes until closing and I was denied service while people in front of me just got done ordering and there’s two others drinking coffee. The female barista with black hair seriously, so rude. Poor customer service and a crap way of shouting it out as I walk in after reading the store hours. You suck, buh-bye.

3.5÷5 Overall great coffee shop and it’s at literally one of the most hipster plaza’s in Southern California — the lab. The service was a little slow because there was only one barista and many patrons. He forgot one of our drinks from our order but was super apologetic and friendly about it. I would give the coffee a 4⁄5. I ordered one vanilla raw cane latte, it had a very satisfying exotic taste. The macchiato was very strong and was served in a traditional coffee class. A little pricer than typical coffee shops, but if you’re around, definitely grab a coffee to go.

Beautiful location, next to some great shops. Anyways! I’m not from the area so every time I come up I’ve been helped by a different barista but they all have been very sweet and helpful. I believe last time they had some vegan treats available too? Very cool :) I got the raw cacao mocha and it is one of THE best mochas I have ever had. This is exactly how I could ever want my mocha to taste lol. On top of it all, it’s organic and very good cofee in general. Highly recommend.

For a $ 6.25 drink I would expect it to taste good, but unfortunately I can’t even describe how my latte taste like… I got the vanilla latte and asked to add mocha… They charge me an extra $ 1 for the mocha. My latte came out nasty, I couldn’t taste anything… Literally! I went back inside and told them about it and instead of being helpful all they said was… «It’s suppose to be like that… and if I wanted it to be more sweet I could add sugar to it myself.» What kind of service is that? A good coffee place would actually care and ask if I would want them to remake it or try something else… But this place didn’t care… Obviously! I am very disappointed in this place and will never be returning. My bf saw how disappointed I was in the latte and knew I wasn’t going to drink it so he went back to ask for a refund. Luckily they were nice enough to refund us back our money… That is why they get 2 stars.

a piece L.A. in OC. I was somewhat of happy when I saw that there’s a cafecito in Costa Mesa. I just knew that coffee is gonna be great! I’d always come back! I got an almond milk cappuccino($ 3.75– wow). coffee is always excellent, staff is always friendly! could you now just open a store in Zurich please? ;)

Ever since my first visit to Cafecito Organico out in Silverlake a couple years ago, I have been pretty much in love their iced coffee/cold brew. I really do think Cafecito Organico has one of the BEST cold brews in Southern California! The cold brew out here in Costa Mesa did not disappoint. Honestly, this drink will definitely help you beat this insane summer heat!

$ 4 for bland hibiscus tea with a ton of ice? Super disappointing and not worth it. I should have gotten coffee. But, this place must make a ton of money especially at the outdoor Anti-Mall, the Lab. The hot days and outdoor seating will drive you to wait something cold and refreshing. I will have to come back and see if the coffee is worth it.

Quality coffee and excellent service! While prices may seem steep to some, one must take into account the quality of the beans that are being brewed and served to you. & oh me oh my, my extra pastry on the side let me tell you a cup of joe from here sure does pack a punch! I ordered the raw cane latte and it had just enough sweetness with the coffee flavor you anticipate! Mmmmm, delicious. Cafecito Organico is located within the lab so it’s in a very trendy and hipster area that can get busy from time to time. While the café doesn’t have wifi of its own, don’t you worry The Lab has got you covered and you connect to their wifi. Parking can be a mission… I’ve had moments circling the lot or where someone parked way too close for comfort to me because the spaces are so small. Not even kidding, I had to enter my car from the passenger seat, surprised the person didn’t hit me. Anyway, if you have trouble finding parking, you can street park on Randolph! That’s just a short walk away from the Lab and the Camp. :) Definitely recommend, but not sure how often I can see myself coming back because of the stated parking situation. I love the hipster vibes radiating from the lab and all, but I can only handle so much parking madness.

Espressos were not as smooth as other places. More acidic and fruity notes. Raw sweetened latte was a bonus that the sugar was already included but too sweet for my taste surprisingly. A cool place to come to pick up a latte in the OC. Parking is atrocious at busy times, so don’t come in a rush!

I get the cold brew coffee here, 16 oz. for $ 3.25. They do a really great job with it, especially compared to a few other coffee shops nearby who offer it. Tastes great! I love that everything is organic, and that the staff personality is pretty genuine. I’m always in and out, even if there are a few people ahead of me. They are very efficient. The layout is nice – just a wide open bar with one little table inside, but plenty of places to sit outside. My only complaint is that they don’t open until 8am. 6am would be AWESOME.

Had a cappuccino here that was as consistently good as the Cafecito in Anaheim. Great espresso, smooth, not bitter at all. This place on a weekday morning was very relaxing. Even the baby in the stroller with his mommy chatting with her girlfriend was nice and quiet. The barista was cool. My wife enjoyed her hibiscus tea and we shared a really moist gluten free pumpkin bread(they get their baked goods from Blackmarket Bakery). On a recent visit, however, they say that they stopped getting gluten free pastries. To me, both Cafecito’s and Portola are the best coffee houses in OC.

I am an espresso junkie and I appreciate a finely made espresso based drink. I decided to go to Cafecito Organico during my visit to the Lab because I was curious and wanted to try out the place. There was only one barista working so I understood that it took a while before he took our orders. He was pretty nice and first asked if I had any questions about the menu. Over at the self-serve table they had Agave and molasses, two things most common coffee houses don’t have! I didn’t use any though since my drink had raw cane sugar in it already. They have a very basic menu which I love when coffee houses do because usually it means they have high quality grounds and don’t need any of that extra stuff(pretty sure the baristas will get offended if you order a starbucks style drink). I stuck with a Raw Cane Latte and it came out delicious, with the right amount of foam and didn’t taste too acidic or bitter. I did die a little inside when I handed him 5 $ for the small size. I am not sure if I would come here on a regular basis because it isn’t cheap, but I would probably get the same thing I got this first time. If you are a coffee lover like myself, it’s worth a try if you don’t mind spending $$.
