Del Taco

I would give this stupid ass place zero stars but unfortunately i can’t. this dumb was laughing and giggling while she was taking my order. then i was in the restroom so i didn’t hear my order called so i had to go up and check if it was done and i confronted her saying she didnt call my number and she supposedly called my number 3 times. obviously she was lying because her boss was right in front of her. FUCK NEWPORT.

I go through the drive thru fairly often because I work close by and am usually in a hurry to grab food. The people who work there are always super nice and I’ve never had a mistake with my order. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because of how slow it can be. It used to be every once in awhile that i’d be in the drive thru for an extended amount of time, which is understandable, things happen especially if they’re busy. The problem is that those times are becoming more and more frequent and I’m becoming less and less patient.

Came to this location for the first time with my boyfriend after a night out. OMG! What an experience. I swear if I were having a bad day I would just come here to have Joseph take my order in the drive thru. Hahaha he was so great I felt like we were getting on a Disneyland ride!
The cashier was super sweet too! Her name started with a J too.
Our food was nice and hot. No mistakes! Score!

Worst lunch ever!
Being pregnant and craving chicken tacos so where do I go deal taco because I absolutely love these cheap tacos.
I’ve never had a issue with my location closer to home.
But basically I ordered 3 tacos… My oh my what a let down! I got three lettus tacos with a dash of chicken and cheese and sour cream… Not only that the guy basically threw my card back to me because I wasn’t moving fast enough… I asked for extra hot sauce in the first place look in the bag and I got three hot sauce. I will never come back sad part about it is they were not even busy just pure laziness!

Obviously if we are comparing this place to authentic Mexican it does not get 4stars, but no body would go here if that was the case. So, for what it is, and compared to come other fast food locations, this is one of my favorites. Especially if i am getting a quick breakfast burrito to go. They make it quick, and tasty

This is actually one of the better del tacos food wise but, literally impossible to use the restroom regardless. Word to the wise, be prepared!

They didn’t give me napkins in my drive thru bag. Do you have any idea how messy that gets? Now I have to wash my pants.

I don’t normally give such bad ratings… But I’m 99% sure I saw a lady that worked at this del taco run to the bathroom (that I was sitting near) and throw up and then go immediately back to work. Now I can’t help but feel bad for the lady that needs to work while she is sick. She obviously needs the money but it being a place that supplies food to consumers means that she could be getting others sick and she should be sent home… I felt so grossed out that I couldn’t finish my other burrito. I don’t know if this was a blessing to see so I didn’t eat my other burrito or what.

Love this place… great nachos. Fast drive thru. Also ofcourse great prices. My favorite…

Stay away from this deal taco. They charged me $.40 for ranch dressing to put on the jalapeño poppers. That my friend is a major rip off and I will not return to this location

Super long lines after clubbing events!
This del taco is pretty big and there’s a big area to stand in line. We went at 2am and there was a lot of people… But only one cashier! He was super nice and patient and funny though but the line was moving super slow.
The place itself was a mess and they probably didn’t have enough staff to clean it. There were no napkins or sauce containers at the self serve station and there was stuff everywhere like someone fell and threw a bunch of stuff on there.
But then the cashier took out a few pans full of packaged sauces and napkins for the customers. Tables had crumbs and stuff. I mean I understand it was a parade of drunk people going through but maybe then they need some extra staff.
It also took a while to get our food. Our order number was 89 when we paid but they were only on 70 at that time.

Joey is literally the best fast food artist I’ve ever gotten. Like a Disneyland experience, thank youuuu

I mean really who reviews a Del Taco… Anyhow, people working were friendly enough I just really don’t like waiting 20 minutes for fast food when I’m hungry. They were on number 84 when I finally got my food after asking and then waiting another 5 minutes. I was number 57. People had come in, ordered, eaten, and left. Place was nice otherwise, just annoyed.

Well it’s been 20 minutes. I’m still in the drive thru. Two more cars in front of me. I’m stuck. What’s going on? Please help!!!

Typical fast food experience. Get the food fast. Some good deals. The nacho portion is much larger than you would get at taco bell and it is only $ 1. I also liked the mini bacon quesadilla as a snack (less than $ 1).
The salsa bar is kinda nice. They have a variety of salsas/​sauces for you to self serve for yourself.
Large seating area. Fast service. Great location (on the way to Newport Beach).

Fast, easy and a little sleazy too. Close to the beach and lots of parking. The salsa comes in pump format, which is nice and the music is loud which is not.

This is the worst DelTaco ever. Waited 20 minutes in a drive thru line that only had five cars.
Called the Unilocal # twice and the fax machine turned on.
Then when I got to the window, they were super rude. The guy taking my order was obviously new. And I had to give my order 5 times. And they still got it wrong.
It’s 3PM. Not lunch rush hour.
Looking into window from DriveThru, store was empty of people but they had three staff members cleaning the store.
The manager should be fired and the GM should be written up.
By far the worst DelTaco ever.
Only gave one star because Unilocal wouldn’t let me give a ZERO star. But this place was terrible.

As far as fast food and Del Taco’s go, this is the best one. Every time i go here, whether its 1 – 3 am or noon, the service is excellent and the food comes out fast. The workers here and management are excellent and do an amazing job. They obviously care about their customers and take pride in their work. It definitely shows.
This location is open 24hrs. They have never gotten my order wrong and foods been on point every time.
This should be what every fast food/​Del Taco restaurant should aspire to be like.

I always thought this specific Del Taco was pretty decent until I got horrible FOOD POISONING on a sober New Years Eve. My boyfriend and I got our usual but in the middle of the night I was left feeling very.unusual.
This location always seemed like one of those good Del Tacos where employees wash their hands or serve fresh food. I’m not sure what exactly was the cause of the matter but all I know is that, that was my only meal of the day which left me sick in bed for two days. My usual consist of fries and two bean and cheese burritos with sour cream and tomato. My boyfriend ordered a green burrito with a spicy jack quesadilla. He did not get sick.
From other reviews I’ve read about this place, everyone complains about getting their orders constantly mixed up. We got ours just the way we ordered, it just took a lot of patience to order on the drive thru speaker. The man taking our order was very rushed it seemed although there wasn’t a lot of customers. After every item my boyfriend would order, the man would right away say «okay, does that finish up your order?» He must have said that five to six times. At least he got our order right. Lucky me.
I really dislike giving bad reviews, but to save someone from having to go through such a horrific experience after, I’d rather let it be known. Something as serious as food poisoning is an automatic 1 star.
