Hands down best local coffee shop! And the food is amazing! Somebody go try the Java sandwich! It’s amazing!

Coolest, nicest people – they make me feel like family! And even though Starbucks is good to their employees(unlike, say McDonald’s or Walmart), I still like giving my money to the little guy.

I love their Shaved Ice! I get it probably 4 days a week. I have had their cheeseburger, not bad(definitely beats McDonald’s and other fast food). The owners/workers are really nice people too. Cool little place to go to if you’re feeling bold. :)

This place is all about convenience. Located next to the freeway on-ramp, its easy to stop if youre headed out on the 55 fwy. They offer food here. I dont know why, maybe its thier marketing style, but im not inticed to eat here. Who knows, maybe im totally missing out. There are a few pastries inthe window(and phil’s power pancakes), not refridgerated so they kinda scare me. If you are in dire need for a cup of coffee just before jumping on the freeway and your late for school or work, most likely because of your child or a printing issue, you should stop here… Otherwise take your time and enjoy a real cup o java somewhere else… After reading the reviews of the shave-ice, i will make it point to come here and try them then re-review.

Shaved ice — hells yes! They have a bunch of cool flavors, but what’s really cool is that you can get cream or ice cream. They also have an assortment of special shaved ice concoctions that have real fruit bits(pineapple, strawberry, etc.). You really need to try this place. Also, the lady working there was really nice. I love

Two words: SNOCONES!!! This is officially my go-to place for sno cones or any sort of shaved ice. They have like four different sizes and it includes two flavors. I love that they offer bizarre flavors like Cinnamon Bun and Lychee. Definitely a MUSTTRY! Just make sure not to pass it up. It’s located right at the corner of Newport Blvd. where the 55 freeway ends/begins. If you’re going South on the 55, it will be on your left. Flip a b*tch and make a right into their DRIVETHRU! Yes, I said it! DRIVETHRUSNOCONES! Best way to cool off after a warm, sunny day at the beach! ;)

Coffee isnt bad, but seriously 4+ buckaroos for a sm latte? plus the breakfast burrito was smaller than the microwavable Tina’s burrito, $ 9 for a sm burrito & sm coffee? Forgetaboutit!

Horrible coffee! My husband brought me home a cup of regular coffee in a foam cup. I’m not sure if this was a bad batch, but it tasted old, and sour. I would expect this kind of coffee from a run down motel, not a coffee house!

The best drive thru for coffee addicts and nicest baristas! Gina is the bomb!!! My kid requests the Mocha Freeze with extra chocolate, and she says beats that«other» place easy. Easy access before the 55 freeway, and a must stop when I hit the road for a long day. My fave…4 shot non fat latte with 1 brown sugar.(thanks, Gina!) Pastries are huge, when you need a muffin/scone/bagel fix.

Always gotta love it when I can drive through for a cup of coffee and a croissant.. All tough I have found it easier to just walk up to the window instead of waiting in what can be at time a long line. The staff are always nice as is the owner. It’s much better to support an independent coffee shop than a big chain so I always try to stop by when I am in need of coffee. NOTE: The prices are not insane like they are at other spots.

Couldn’t really ask for more: — convenience(drive through & fast) — great coffee(ice soy latte) — good bagels(toasted with cream cheese) — awesome staff(served with a smile) Stopped by here with a friend on the way to work and it was perfect, it’s right before the 55 which makes it a quick stop before I jump on the freeway. 2 thumbs up. Or 5 stars. Whatever.

OK so I haven’t tried the coffee yet which really with a name like java to go I may be jumping the gun with my rating, so if I have to ill reassess later. But while next door to java to go at a gas station the small place caught my eye. Jonesing for a sweet treat I noticed they served ice cream. So I went for it choosing the drive threw though you can walk up to the stand as well. The people who work there seemed friendly and worked fast. I got the soft serve swirl and it was awesome, one of the only soft serves that I have liked here in Orange County. I ordered not knowing the price but was surprised when she told me it was only a dollar. With kick ass ice cream at a cheap price I would tell anyone to check this place out.

Located on your right hand side, right as you are about to enter the 55 North, Java To Go is fast and convenient. The service is very friendly and the drive thru is just wonderful! They cater to the early morning crowd and close rather early, around 2pm if my memory serves me correct.

Straight up coffee here is not the best, but it also isn’t either of the things that I despise most about other coffee: — watery and weak — lukewarm I have an addiction to drive through coffee joints. I need instant gratification caffeine on those mornings when I am rushing too much to make coffee at home. By the way, if you need a sugar rush to cover your lack of sleep, I highly recommend their«Black Forest» coffee drink. Being that this place is RIGHT next to my freeway on-ramp, it is a super quick fix that doesn’t set my commute back more than 2 minutes. And I have never had to wait behind anyone ordering six complicated coffee drinks for their co-workers or any of that Starbucks song and dance that takes so damn long. The only thing that makes this place not as entertaining as my old Long Beach area drive through coffee joint(the Daily Grind at the corner of PCH and 7th Street), is the lack of a huge metal donut on the roof, complete with pink paint frosting and lots of bird crap on top. Then again, Java To Go is just down the street from the ominous Alibaba Motel, so, there is that. Regardless, nice people work here. And they move fast, so you can continue on your merry way into nightmarish traffic. Plus, they have a free punch card system and I always get so excited when I finally get to the FREECOFFEE.
