Karen was great! She really helped us out with everything we needed as we didn’t know much about maternity wear since this is our first child! She was super helpful and really took her time to show us multiple outfits for my wife’s new job that will look great!

Overall, I really like this store and drive a decent distance to shop here. Every visit I’ve been assisted by kind employees, but there is one thing that bothers me: poorly folded purchases. If this store is going to do its absolute best to offer great customer service, why does it end when my purchase is being bagged? I loathe when employees sloppily fold expensive items and then beautifully wrap it in tissue. How does this make sense? Neatly fold it as if it is still for sale in the store and leave the experience on a high note for me. Last weekend I was in the store and an associate did exactly this. I was so irked by the sloppy folding that resulted in tons of wrinkles to my brand new items that I’m thinking of returning them.

Worst customer service I have encountered recently at any clothing store. I purchased a good amount of maternity clothes from a Pea in the Pod, including a nice pair of what I thought were going to be quality jeans. They fit great when I tried them on at the store and seemed like they would last. The following day I put them on to wear them, have them on for literally about an hour, and the seam of the jeans begins to rotate towards the center of my leg. No matter how many times I try to adjust the pant legs to make the seam run down the side of my leg correctly, it becomes apparent to me that the seam on the jeans was sewn crooked and that’s how they will always be. I decide to return them to this store where I bought them, along with the tag, even though it was not attached. I was obviously planning on keeping them before I discovered they were defective. I informed the store clerk and the manager that the jeans were defective and would like a refund. I explained to the manager that I wouldn’t have known there was a problem prior to wearing them for the hour that I did. They seemed fine when I tried them on at the store. I also said I wouldn’t have removed the tag if I knew they were defective. The manager refused to take back the jeans since the tag was not attached, even though I had the tag and receipt both with me. The retailer is required, by law, to take back an item that is defective per Cal. Civil Code § 1791. Consumer goods have an implied warranty that the product is free from defects and will work for its given purpose. Clearly, the jeans were made incorrectly, and no matter the return policy of the store, they are required to take it back. I would have probably shopped here many many more times, but I will never ever again step foot in this store to purchase a maternity item. If you are looking for cute, quality maternity clothing, I would recommend Motherhood Maternity in Huntington Beach. I got a great pair of quality jeans there that fit just right with no quality issues. They are super friendly, helpful, and have great customer service. Pea in the Pod management needs to rethink their customer service at their South Coast Plaza store. People coming in to spend a bunch of money on nice clothing deserve better treatment than what they provide at this time.

Bought a fantastic and figure flattering elegant dress for my second baby shower. I got so many compliments about it and it was on sale… though still expensive… but on sale. Ironically, I found an alternative dress at Newport Kids consignment in Newport Beach for only $ 17!!! Since I couldn’t return my expensive dress, I wore it and it was beautiful anyway! More **couture dress selection** than Maternity Destination and Motherhood Maternity. I was amazed at the designers that made maternity clothes! All formal wear(aka special occasion) is final sale.

Just bought myself my first few pairs of maternity pants here and I LOVE them. Why aren’t all jeans this comfortable??? I splurged on a pair of Citizens and Hudson’s, I figure I better invest since we are planning to have three kids and this is only our first. The store was very nice and had lots of great jeans which is mainly what I was looking for. I saw a lot of business wear too but I don’t have the need for those with my occupation. Hopefully these jeans will do the trick for the next 5 – 6 months and if I need more I will be back. This place is pricy but I think its worth it for the cool designer jeans.

I found the cutest clothes at this place. I got several pairs of work pants and blouses as well as a few casual things. I didn’t even know how to buy maternity clothes; the salesperson was patient with me and gave me enough help without being pushy. The clothes is expensive — this is South Coast Plaza, what can one expect? I found several items on sale that brought the prices down to a somewhat more reasonable level. For me it was worth it because it was one stop shopping.

I wanted to give this place two stars, mostly because I hate maternity clothes but I gave it three because I did buy a couple of things that were not too insane. The dresses are super stretchy and give, look cute on the rack but try them on and they make you look like a cow in a dress. Also, most of the clothes are made for taller women so they are way too long for someone like me, a shorty. One crazy thing… their exchange policy is 10 days with a receipt… my mother in law bought me something that was too big and I had to exchange it well after the 10 policy, thankfully the sales woman wrote an extension on the front of the receipt. After the manager approved it, I was allowed to do my exchange. I bought a dress here and after wearing it twice, the zipper split. The dress is still cute so I’m gonna keep it and replace the zipper but I thought the Pea in a Pod line would have a little better quality. Target is also a good place to go for maternity wear, that may be my next stop.
