Only one sales gal came up to me to direct me to the Petite section. In the dressing room, no one helped me. So I left, and went and spent $ 500+ at Chico’s instead, where customer service is served with a smile and a willingness to assist the customer.

My mom enjoys Talbots clothing, and although she’s never had an outstanding customer service experience(not bad, just not great), she’s also never had poor customer service either. Especially two incidents in one day. Seems like some of the sales associates only have time to wait on select customers in this store — they pick and choose who they want to help and give good customer service to while the rest in the store are left unattended to to figure it all out on their own. My mother was in this store the other day, as she was trying on clothing, she over-heard a sales associate give details about a sale/promotion going on to another customer. Curious, when my mom came out she asked an associate(not the same one I don’t believe) about a sale. The sales associate said that the only promotion available was if someone opened a credit card — nothing further. My mom was on her lunch from work and had to return. The girl said the card would only take a moment to offer(yeah…right), and after my mom informed her that she was on a schedule, the girl again said«well it will only take a minute» in a nasty tone. However, she didn’t give her any further information regarding the card, and my mom ended up putting everything back on the rack and walked out to get back to work. That same night, she called to store to once again ask about the credit card and the offer. Before my mom went and asked what she wanted, she asked the girl who picked up the phone«I’m not sure if you’re busy with a customer right now or if you’re available to answer a question for me» — the girl’s response? «I’m with a customer» …ummmm okay then? No «If you call back in 20 minutes» or «If you hold a moment i’ll find someone for you», just a cold response from another cold member from Talbots. I’m sure there are great sales associates at this store; pick them out and have them share what good customer service is. Seems like some of these ladies need a reminder. TALKTOALLYOURCUSTOMERS. No, I’m not pro«The customer is always right.» I work in retail myself and am disgusted that associates would talk to any customer like that — or that my mom and anyone else has to go out of her way for assistance when it should be offered.

Was completely ignored. If you think I am going to waste my money on over priced clothes to be snubbed think again. Customer service was horrible.

Fabulous store! I am writing about the non-plus size store. The service here is great: staff is polite, attentive, and helpful. Price range: I always go here when they have«red hanger» sales. The price range becomes more and more affordable as the sale progresses. They have these sales 2 – 3 times a year and I always find wonderful things for a relatively affordable price. Style of clothes: I am in college, but I love the selection here for professional, good quality pieces. This store is more catered for women over 40, but since I am short and curvy/hourglass the«women over 40» style happens to look fashionable on me. I recommend the petite section for all short, curvy women.

9 out of 10 times the customer service is poor. –One of the sales girls twice looked over my dressing room door. TWICE, no knock just looked. –horrible return policy«we dont sell this anymore», «this is out of season» or «Your not in our customer database»… Which means i over paid for an item last week, it doesnt fit, and now i have to KEEP it. –across the way is the«plus» size store and they seem to really love customers. maybe some of those girls could teach these bobble headed brats a thing or two.

Good displays but I guess fashion doesn’t reflect the hot weather. I like the designs but I wasn’t tempted to browse. If you’re waiting there’s a seating area with a Restoration Hardware catalog and the OC Metro. Located near the escalator, this is my aunt’s favorite store but my mother didn’t find anything. Small shoe section is limited in sizes. The costume jewelry is okay. Their demographic is probably middle-aged professional women. There are a couples of areas with the store catalog so you can order items that are not at this location. They don’t carry anything summery. Where was the end of summer sale?
