Amy’s Chinese kitchen was very good on a rainy night ! We ordered: Honey walnut prawns sesame chicken generals chicken 2 orders of crab raccoons Small hot and sour soup barbecue pork fried rice Hot tea Everything was very fresh especially the prawns. ~hot and sour soup ~a small is actually enough for 4 cups of soup. generous portions ! great service ! attentive staff ! All for $ 68 including tip. I highly suggest Amy’s Chinese kitchen out of all the Chinese restaurants in this Rohnert Park/Cotati area. I’m glad we choose them. Next time we will try delivery.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The biggest thing to note is that this isn’t super heavy, super greasy Chinese food. If you’re looking for that, it’s not hard to find in RP/Cotati. But this is exactly what I wanted; Chinese food that was well made and didn’t give me a stomach ache 10 minutes after eating it. We got pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, broccoli beef and egg rolls and it was all very, very good. I used to frequent China Delight a lot, back when it was Tai Yuet Lao(and actually really good) and this sort of reminds me of how good that place used to be. The service was good, very friendly people and they gave us free crab rangoons(neither of us eat crab, but it was appreciated nonetheless). I will definitely return to this place for Chinese take out in the future.

Best Chinese delivery I’ve found in the area! We love the Szechuan Tofu and Eggplant and the sweet and sour chicken and a complimentary Crab Rangoons! Thanks for the great food and courteous delivery!

I am new to Rohnert Park and was looking for quality Chinese that delivered. I gave Amy’s a try but was sorely disappointed. The pork in the fried rice was burnt and tasted like it was sitting in the wok for a long time. It was also severely saturated with sodium. The sweet and sour chicken taste was acceptable however I received maybe 10 pieces. They forgot an order of wontons. In the end I threw away 75% of the fried rice and 25% of the chicken. For the quality and mis-steps in the ordering the pricing was unacceptable. I would not recommend nor will I be a repeat customer.

Dare I say this is possibly the best Chinese restaurant in Cotati. I will not go into every dish Ive ordered because I find people who dissect every dish on their Unilocal reviews to be annoying and I rarely read their overly long and self involved reviews. Short and sweet – everything Ive ordered here has been delish and well prepared. Food is consistently fresh, service is great, and prices are reasonable in my opinion.

Delicious kung pao chicken and bok choy with mushroom. I used to date a Hong Kongese man who is a Chinese food snob. He never wanted to eat Chinese in the North Bay because he was sure it wouldn’t measure up. He would like this place. This gem is tucked away between highway 116 and the entrance to 101, well worth seeking it out.

Our new favorite place! Most excellent customer service. Amy’s Special Szechwan Tofu & Eggplant, Vegetable Egg Foo Young — everything that we have ordered(even the delicious gifts that we didn’t order), have been — the — best. We are glad that Amy’s came in our neighborhood, and happy that we found them!

As much as I hate when businesses advertise by leaving paper by your front door, I have to admit that this is how I ended up grabbing take out here the other night. And I’m stoked that I did, because I would come back again and again just for their Szechwan tofu with eggplant I ordered. Not only was it extremely good, it was also reasonably priced, considering the portion size granted me two full dinners for myself. Definitely will be back.

I was recommended Amy’s Chinese Kitchen by a good friend and gave it a try. To put it short and to the point, I have been there just about every weekend since. I always get the pot stickers, chow fun and walnut prawns. It also so happens that I get to enjoy crab puffs that are ridiculously good because the owner is generous enough to give complimentary food with your order some times. I would have never known how good the crab puffs are there if it wasn’t for that generosity. Very smart business tactic because I am tempted to order them thanks to them being so delicious. The consistency here is perfect. Every time I come, the food looks exactly the same and tastes excellent. I don’t know how a Chinese food connoisseur would feel, but for me this is the best Chinese place in town. The only draw back at times is the location of the shopping lot that contains Amy’s. I recommend coming south on commerce blvd passing Mikes at the Crossroads and entering the parking lot by Puff Puff pass. Heading east bound on 116 is a little more tricky because no matter what you have to cross a double yellow line or turn around to get into the parking lot. It is just best to come from the other end via commerce if possible.

I don’t understand why this place is not packed! We’ve been here twice and both times have been delicious. Today we had Mongolian chicken with steemed rice and hot and sour soup. Both were out of this world and didnt leave us with that greasy feeling that Chinese can sometimes give. I am totally coming back.

Finally gave this place a shot when I was too tired to care on Sunday night. Ended up being pleasantly surprised. The kitchen was slammed, and the restaurant had two folks in it. he waiter and cook were yelling at each other in Mandarin. Immediately had a good feeling about the place and I was right… didn’t mind one bit to give them plenty of time to prepare my to-go order. One of the best fried tofu dishes I’ve had. Pan fried and extremely soft on the inside. The potstickers weren’t a hit. Really heavy and one-dimensional. PORK. That’s ok. The tofu made up for it. The Hot and Sour soup did taste very mild at first, but improved after it cooled down a bit. Very lightly flavored. Subtle, but tasty. The flavors don’t punch you in the face, but that’s ok. The sauteed green beans were also tasty. A bit sweeter than you’d find in most places in Oakland, but given their location I’m sure they’re making them sweeter for the locals. I’ll make sure to ask for them«not too sweet» next time I order them. We rounded out our order with beef chow fun in black bean sauce. Not the best dish, but it’s hard to find really good chow fun outside of Oakland’s chinatown in my experience. Wasn’t bad, just not their strong suit. We had a complimentary order of crab puffs thrown in as well. The GF said they were nice and were fried up very nicely. Bottom line, the kitchen knows what they’re doing. And while they might not have a handle on the bastardized american-ized Chinese food, I’m looking forward to exploring more of the traditional menu items. I’m looking forward to more of the tofu dishes and am guessing the green onion pancakes will be out of this world. If you’re ordering crappy Panda Express style dishes. Well, I’m pretty sure you won’t enjoy them. Bottom line, order dishes the kitchen has been making for years and you’ll be happy. Gloppy sweat dishes that don’t exist outside of the US? Good luck with those. Oh, and the delivery driver was out sick on Sunday night… which explains the hectic nature of things. Either way, I found it to be worthy of waiting. Your results may vary.

Excellent! We are so happy with this place and thrilled to have good chinese in Cotati again! I was devistated last time we went to the one across the gas station in cotati. Growing up it was the«it» place. Last time we went, all the spicy food dishes had jalepenoes in them, which was awhile ago. It was so bad. Anyway back to Amys. Food is delicious. We have been a couple times now and now trying delivery tonight. I especially want to call out the shrimp and prawns. Awesomly fresh! I can’t say enough about this place, try it!

FRESHQUALITYCHINESE food and friendly service! If you’re looking for a quiet spot, nothing very fancy, but clean and comfortable, this place is for you! Our first visit, and we will be back. We ordered several dishes to try, including appetizers. Loved them all! Quality and quantity for more than reasonable price. Leftovers are going to make a great lunch tomorrow!

Amazing food at amazing prices, and the portions are huge! I got take out and walked out almost feeling like I robbed the place. Got home and the food was still hot and tasted great! I got wonton soup, chow mean, general’s chicken and steamed pork buns — all fantastic. This would’ve costed at least $ 10 more anywhere else in the area. So glad this replaced that subpar Korean bbq place. I’ll definitely be going back! Also gave me a bunch of coupons and some free crab puffs. The online ordering is so quick and easy, no hassle. So down with Amy’s!

Awful food. Terrible interior. Expensive. I can’t believe this place replaced the(good, albeit quiet) Korean restaurant that used to be in the same spot. I doubt they’ll be in business for more than a year. This is yet another review that I swear I’ve had to re-post because it disappeared off their page. Twice now this has happened to me with reviews on Unilocal

My wife and I were on our way to Mexican food around the block from this new Chinese Restaurant and we decided that we’d rather go here than have Mexican. The service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was clean and fresh — not surprising since this is a brand new restaurant. We enjoyed Wor Wonton soup and then had combination Chow Fun, Egg Foo Young and Szechuan Beef. The Szechuan Beef was a little different than I usually get but I liked this one much more. The fried beef was very light and the sauce was sweetish but could have had a little more spice. I’ll ask for chili sauce next time. It was very good, though. The Chow Fun was exactly what we were expecting and it did not disappoint! Egg Foo Young was cooked well(I’ve been places where the batter isn’t always cooked all the way through — yuk) and the flavor was outstanding. I think on our next visit I will try the Mushu Pork as someone on here said it was very good. Oh we’ll definitely be back!

Asked and response«No MSG!» Most important response at Asian restaurant EVER. Okay, I’ve only tried a few things. Yes, they give you the FREE unexpected crab rangoon AFTER you order … probably to make sure you’re getting more than a $ 5 drink. I must admit it’s the best creamiest cream cheese laden«crab» rangoon I’ve ever had(and yes, it’s Pollock and colored but it’s good so who cares? Fish is fish and who ever expects real crab?). We ordered the hot and sour soup, the BBQ pork buns(2 to an order, steamed), and the Mu Shu Pork. Let me first start with this … the food is not the usual, it’s understated, mild(not bland mind you), home-cooked style, and delicate. They do offer hot sauce which is the chili lumpy kind, and you have to ask for it. The hot and sour soup was anything but hot and sour. It had fresh tomatoes, which was a little strange, and the only bit of hot was the white pepper — which should be the norm. But honestly I liked this soup better NOT thinking it was hot and sour soup. I added hot chili, soy sauce, and more white pepper to taste more traditionally to what I’m used to. This, was, well … soup. It’s good but I’d call it a veggie laden soup and my friend, Fred, joked it was veggie white pepper soup. Not hot and sour. Of the pork buns mine was overcooked. Wayyyyy overcoooked. It was bound so tight that I couldn’t eat the«white part», the breading of the white bun. It was so rough and tough. So my friend took it and said he would dip it in the soup. Ahhh, not alas. After a while I noticed he ate all of his soup saying«It’s turned to a rock. You know, it was as hot as lava, so now it’s rock». I giggled, but nigh did it change the fact that the white steamed bread was totally rock hard. Only one of the two buns were, but still … The Mu Shu Pork was really good. A definite order again item. It was sweetly flavored just right. Honestly didn’t need the pancake or extra sauce. I used them anyway, but in the end just ended up eating the pork veggie mixture. Yes, it was that good. However with this restaurant only having one dish out of three making the mark, not sure it’s worth a return. I don’t understand what everyone else is raving about. Maybe we just have other sh$t Chinese in Cotati/Rohnert Park so this stands to impress by lack of powerful flavors, but good delicate food. I do actually prefer the hot and sour soup at MY China or the pork and shrimp bean curd at China Chef. Ah, but let’s just say if you like thick cut tofu in your hot and sour soup and you love veggies, this place has got it for you. Oh and one other thing … coupons on the take-out menus by the door. Free chow mein, crab rangoon, stuff like that. And while you’re here, pop over to Asiana the Korean Asian store, lots of great stuff!
