the pizza here used to be great! Greek style, golden brown perfect. That is all in the past. Had take out pizza last night, it might as well been from 7-Eleven. the pizza was under cooked, tasteless, just awful friendly staff, def have better selections, but going downhill fast. i have been in town for 8 years and watched the decline of the food here. There are plenty of other similar restaurants around. its too bad, hope things change!

Our family loves Dimitri’s. We’ve never had a bad meal there. It’s where we go to when we have something to celebrate or are entertaining out of town guests. The food is excellent with more than ample portions. The ambience is casual enough for jeans but upscale enough to venture in dressed up without feeling overdressed. More or less ‘come as you are’. The fish and chips are great-crispy and flakey and served with malt vinegar if you ask for it. Everything on their Italian/Greek menu is delicious. Beers on tap are a bonus. Service is prompt and friendly. Be sure to save room for dessert because you’ll want to try the baklava!

For a little place out of my hometown this place puts in work. They have great pizza and I love their Turkey Club sandwich. I’m a very hungry individual to say the least and a sandwich doesn’t usually fill me up but these things do the trick. Any place that carries Hosmer Mountain soda also gets my approval.

It’s really about a 2.5 star. It’s just average. The service was extremely slow and inattentive and the pizza was average at best the sauce had a weird flavor that was not complimentary to the pizza. The eggplant grinder was too dry. It needed little more flavor and a lot more sauce.

Absolutely loveeeeee there pizza! I grew up here so this place has a special place in my heart. They have that thick, but not thin golden crust that has a beautiful crunch to it. Staff has always been friendly to us when we stop in for pizza. There ingredients are ALWAYS fresh, u can tell in the toppings and salads. Décor is nice but still casual and they have a lovely outdoor patio. Dimitris will always be in my top favorite pizza of all time!

Four of us ate dinner there last night. I have not eaten in house there for a long time due to a past experience. I have to admit my experience this time was much better except for the wait. The waitress was friendly and polite and the food was very good. Two of us had the veal parmigiana, one the chicken parmigiana and one a small pizza. The portions were decent and were served hot. The sauce was thick and not watery how I remembered it to be. Over all not bad at all… I will be eating there again for sure! However, I am still not a fan of their pizza… Crust to me lacks taste and has all the characteristics of frozen crusts.

What a great place! Bartender was friendly and made really good mixed drinks. Love that they are under $ 6 a piece for a bocce ball and sex on the beach. Took awhile to get the food but it was super tasty. Turkey club with curly fries and 1lb of wings with onion rings. Bread and bacon on turkey club was crisp. The wings were flavorful; honey mustard habanero and buffalo-que? Can never go wrong with curly fries. And last but not least, the onion rings were AWESOME!!! Super crispy on the outside. The bartender said they change the oil twice a week and you can definitely tell. Soooo good! We will be back. Strong drinks and tasty food!

We had an enjoyable meal here recently. Quality pizza, cooked well. Simple green salad was tasty and fresh. My husband enjoyed the chicken parm grinder as well! The prices are very reasonable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. you typical CT pizza joint, but done very well! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Steak and Chops. Unexpected for what you would think is primarily a pizza restaurant. Worth a try and you will be back.

Just OK. The basic pizza(which isn’t that good), generic pasta, salad, and parms. The only highlights are the sandwiches and the burger, which are both very large for a pretty good price.

Service was OK. The food was mediocre nothing to write home about. Wings were good Hot Dipped Roast Beef Sandwich not so much Manicotti was very bland. Glad I tried Dimitri’s but this is most likely the last visit.

Just walked out on this place. After being seated, my fiancée and I proceeded to wait 15 minutes without placing a drink order or being greeted by a server! Entirely unacceptable. We watched two tables of two(seated after us) put in their complete orders and we were simply walked past by three waitresses without acknowledgement. I saw yet another waitress wander over confused as to where she needed to be and asked a table that had been served of they had been helped. Duh! I was fuming and was ready to ask for a manager but I was too hungry to mess around any longer.(We went to Bidwell’s Tavern, which is darn good, FYI.) This place needs a serious server overhaul. Get with it, Dimitri’s! Your service is TERRIBLE. I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to try the food but I’ll be damned if I will deal with that mess again. Well, there’s always take-out!

Always the place to go in Coventry… because, face it– it’s either here or Bidwell on the other side of town. And as far as pizza goes here or the lesser Coventry Pizza near the lake. Now, that’s not to say it’s bad. The pizza is great. We, and all of our friends know, there’s two pizzas to get: red with jalepeno and pepperoni; or a white pizza with chicken, spinach, and feta. I’m surprised they haven’t put them on the menu yet, because we order them religiously. The boneless wings are great. Lemon pepper beats the equivalent at Bidwell– which says a lot! The grinders are delicious. On occassion, we’ve gotten bored and tried a burger, steak, pasta, or other dish– they’re always been wonderful for the type of place and price. Beer– we can always find at least one decent microbrew on tap. They have the standards like Sam Adams, too; and also the requisite swill beers like Bud. Everyone’s friendly and I’ve made a few casual friends with people at the bar. It won’t take long before you know who’s a regular.

First time here. Highly recommended. First we started first with the cheese garlic bread and the fried mozzarella. The kids got cheese ravioli. One with sauce one with butter. We got a pizza and a calzone. The staff was curious and we found a table quickly. The appetizers took a little while to come out however the garlic bread had ample cheese, the fried mozzarella was cooked to perfection and the sauce was not overbearing. My wife had the salad and all the ingredients were fresh, the italian dressing is light and tasty. The kids enjoyed the ravioli. The pizza was good. All the ingredients were fresh. The dough was soft not soggy and slices felt heavy with the amount of toppings. The calzone was more than adequate. In a nut shell delicious. I would defiantly recommend this place

I have eaten and had drinks at Dimitris many times over the years and have had an enjoyable experience every time. The hostesses and bartenders are very pleasant and there is very rarely much of a wait time. The atmosphere is relaxed in the main sit down area, as well as in the bar. They make one of my favorite pizzas, their BBQ chicken pizza with a side of bleu cheese, which is the best BBQ chicken pizza I have every had. They used to have a pizza with strips of hamburger on it, which I also loved, but I believe they only use the hamburger«balls» now, which are good, just not the same. Prices seem to be reasonable for the food they offer, while maybe a little higher than the average price in the area, but it’s worth it. They do not deliver and there is a separate area to park for pick ups, which I have done many times without an issue. The orders are almost always ready on time, with a few small exceptions, but nothing serious. I have never eaten any of the food other than the pizza and some boneless wings, which were good bit not great, but I have been told by many people the other food is mostly above average. I would definitely recommend trying Dimitris if you are in the area, especially if you like BBQ chicken pizzas.

After driving by this place daily on the way to and from work and seeing the parking lot filled almost every night, I decided to eat here with my husband and our two kids this afternoon. The building is pretty and well-maintained, with a nice patio and eggplant-colored walls inside. We waited longer than we’d like to be greeted and seated, and noticed that the restaurant was about 1/3-full(on a Sunday afternoon). There seemed to be only one server for the whole restaurant and although she was friendly, she was clearly overworked. By the time our server came to take our drink orders, we had studied the whole menu and were ready to order food as well. The wait for the food was surprisingly quick, and upon our request, she did bring a basket of complimentary bread to tide us over. The food was good; I had the peppercorn burger, which was cooked medium as I had ordered it. It was juicy and flavorful, topped with cheese, ground peppercorn, A-1, and crispy fried onions. I’m not crazy about seasoned fries, which came with the burger, but they were crispy and hot, and my kids enjoyed them. My husband had a good fish and chips, with a nice, home-made lemony tartar sauce. Again, this dish was served with seasoned fries, not the traditional English«chips,» which seemed odd. He also had a garden salad with fresh, crispy veggies and a dressing that was kind of meh, like bottled Italian. It would be a nice touch if Dimitri’s made their own. Our daughter had the french dip sandwich, which was piled with flavorful, thinly-shaved fresh roast beef and melted cheese. Overall, the prices seemed reasonable and the server(while slow through no fault of her own) was friendly. I’d go back to try the pizza and maybe the eggplant parm.

When it comes to pizza I’m a Greek pizza lover. My family owned a pizza house in Ashford so I’m well accustomed to the pizza making business. Dimitri’s is one of the best around. In an area where Willington Pizza,(which I think is grossly overrated) these less famous places do not get the attention they deserve. Service/Atmosphere: Every time my girlfriend and I come here we’re greeted immediately by a friendly hostess and taken to our table. The atmosphere of the restaurant is calm and the seating gives you a private feel which is nice. Every server we have had here has been friendly and informative when we have questions about the food. Food and drinks always arrive in a timely manner and the waitresses are always around in case you need something. Food: Great selection and great pizza. The sauce is flavorful and has a decent kick to it. Many places have a bland sauce that has a weak taste. The crust tastes great and the pizza is cooked so the crust has a slight crunch on the bottom rather than floppy and doughy. The toppings are numerous and fresh as well. I usually get peppers onions and pepperoni. They use red onion on the pizza which is my favorite and I don’t see that much at many pizza places around. The isn’t greasy either which is a plus. Overall Dimitri’s is one of my favorite places to have dinner in my locality. The food is great and the staff makes sure you have a pleasant experience. Well done!

Dimitri’s is a straightforward, nice place to eat. The service is great, and the staff are incredibly friendly and personable. The food is good — worth what you pay for it — but nothing«rave-worthy.» As someone who has just moved into the area, it’s nice to have a decent place to eat when I want to go out :)
