Love this place. It’s cheap and good! Phở is always hot and fresh and tastes great. We eat here at least once a week when I don’t feel like cooking. Haha and I even took some for lunch the next day. It’s just that good! Portion size for take out is great. I get the chicken noodle phở. Only thing I miss is when they served LIMES! They give you lemons now which throws off the taste. So I get my own lemons from my tree.

The menu is limited compared to other Vietnamese restaurants, but the quality of the food is Good. I go out of my way from home to get their food. The prices are Good too. I even ordered their party platters, when I could’ve easily made it myself, but wanted to save time and energy to enjoy my party.

Cant understand why this place has such a bad rap sheet. The prices are great and foods good too! Buy one get one boba tea for $ 3 Sandwich and boba drink for less than $ 5 after tax! Shrimp rolls for 75 cents. I always buy an extra sandwich and take it the next day for work lol. Yeah the place is a little dirty with their floors and such, but what authentic Asian place isn’t dirty?

I come very often I would say once a week since it’s super cheap and less then a minute from me, they pretty much know me there, the bowls are so big I have to share so for the price of 4.35 me and a friend can both get feed and the buy 1 get one free boba is cool to not the best tasting boba lacks the sweetness must boba has but if you get the Thai tea it makes up for it and bring a sweater when you go it’s typically pretty cold inside

Love it! Service and food was fantastic! We ordered chicken phở soup, meatloaf & ham sandwich and my favorite boba milk tea. The prices are great too. Hubby and I are going back soon. Going to try their spring rolls and BBQ pork sandwich next.

I’m Vietnamese., and I eat Vietnamese food at least twice a week. So I would be a pretty harsh grader. Beef salad — 5 stars! My favorite item to order. Fresh, loaded with tender beef, one egg, lots of slices of avocados and tomatoes. For only $ 7.09 including tax. Banh mi/Sandwich — 3 stars., still Mr. Baguette is the best. But if I’m craving for Banh mi, I would order the one with the egg. The egg is cooked perfectly, not dry or too well done. Make sure they give you fresh bread! One time I came home and realized the bread was very tough(probably baked the night before). Bun Bo Hue — 4 stars, My favorite item to order here, The soup was flavored right, still need to ask them if they add msg in it. I’ve had better quality beef in the Bun bo Hue at other Vietnsmese restaurants. The beef is tough here. But overall, still good for the price you pay. Beef Noodle soup — 3.5 stars, The soup didn’t taste like plain water, so that’s a good start. Not the best I’ve had(like Phở Fillet/Phở Ba Co) or other places in Asian towns, but the only place in Covina for good phở. Chicken Noodle soup — 2 stars, they give you frozen chicken breasts. Both the soup and chicken tastes plain. No wonder it’s only $ 3.95. The other Banh Mi Che Cali on Garfield in Monterey Park serves this entrée with fresh pieces of chicken thighs. Curry chicken/Curry beef — 4 stars Both have perfect flavor. The meat is a bit tough, but overall very good. Comes with bread and only $ 3.95 if you dine in! Fried rice — 2 stars, rice is too hard/cooked from night before. Shrimp salad — 5 stars — loaded with fresh shrimps/fresh lettuce/tomatoes and eggs!

PLEASEREADALLOFTHISBEFOREEATINGHERE I have been to the resurant a a couple of times. At first it seemed like a great place to stop by and get some pretty good phở for a decent price but every time I came the situation for worse and worse. The last time I came it was a rainy day and there were literally puddles on the floor from the roof leaking. So I’m going to list a couple of brief bullet points as to why you probably don’t want to waste your time stopping here. 1. THISPLACEISNEVERCLEAN. I am not sure they ever clean the floors here. And at any given time there are tables with food that have been sitting there for a long time. Also you can see into the kitchen and there is usually trash on the floor of the kitchen just being walked over. If you can’t keep a clean kitchen you shouldn’t have a resurant. 2. The employees are not that helpful. Honestly I noticed that half of the employees usually are working really hard and the other half are usually hanging around eating or doing nothing. Also asking for help with anything or even giving your order is hard because of the language barier with most employees. 3. Uncareful food preperations. If you have good allergies please stay away. I have a friend with a shell fish allergy who after eating here had an allergic reaction despite ordering no sea food. 4. I’ve seen cleaner restrooms at truck stops. 5. This place is run with no integrity. A friend of mine wrote a review on this restaurant and explained her negative experience. Rather than aplogizing or trying to fix the issue the management threatened to sue if she didn’t take down her review. This shows a lack of accountability and spineless ethics.

If you’ve got a hankering for a banh mi, and there isn’t a Lee’s Sandwiches nearby, this is a pretty good replacement. Sure, the inside is dirty and the staff isn’t all that friendly, but I think the food is actually good for what you pay for. I love the BOGO drinks! I had the Thai iced tea and I really liked it. I really needed 2 of those because my banh mi was very spicy! It was really good with the crusty french bread, or you can opt for the softer bread. It was quickly made(I had it to-go, no way I was going to dine-in!) and a good size for the $ 3 or so I paid for it. If you buy 2 sandwiches, you get 1 free. There’s also a drive-thru, but they don’t do the soups if you go through it because of safety reasons(makes complete sense to me). My meal only cost about $ 6 and it tastes like a $ 6 meal. You can’t have too high expectations when it’s an establishment like this. If you’ve got high standards, you might as well just drive to Lee’s or go to a legit Vietnamese restaurant.

I’d have to say… this is by far the nastiest phở place I’ve ever been to. The place and sign looks nice every time I pass by until my mom and I met up for lunch to try this place out. First and foremost, it’s not your typical phở place where you can order phở tai or the typical meat you can have with phở. Their menu for phở is so limited. Ordered this beef noodle soup because that looked good. And my mom ordered the shrimp phở. The broth on the beef noodle looks good and flavorful and when I tried it, it wasn’t tasteful and didn’t taste the way it looked. Their noodles are hard to grab with chop sticks since they were super stuck together. I tried my moms order and bleh. It was… ugh…lets just say it’s not good. It tasted like water with a tad bit of seasoning to it. To say the least my mom and I didn’t even finish our order. Also to top it off… the beef they gave me on my order was mostly fatty meat. Cmon. Are they cheaping out on meat? Wasn’t appetizing. I was craving phở all day and finally got the opportunity to eat phở and this was my experience. Never again though. They also have buy 1 get 1 free boba which is $ 3. The boba milk tea tastes different. it kinda tasted like Thai tea. I guess they used the same ladle or mixing tool to mix their milk tea that they used with their Thai tea. The boba pearls were also okay.

Next to the local Beef Bowl, I thought I’d try some Vietnamese fast food one night. Did takeout of pork chops with rice. The meal was alright, but not distinctively Vietnamese. The place was filthy inside; tables were greasy. I was sorry to be disappointed.

The Phở is cheap so I guess I shouldn’t have expected much. I received a foam cup with a melted plastic lid. The plastic was in the broth, I had to put my chicken and garnishes in myself. Also the wait was very long and they weren’t busy at all. Definitely do not eat here, totally not worth it!!!

Starving before going into Royal Health Spa, I spotted BMC Phở across the street. It looked like it had taken over a Wendy’s or some other fast food-type establishment but I’m down for banh mi and egg rolls for brunch. The sandwiches were buy 2 get 1 free, so I got some BBQ Pork Sandwiches to share later and a few egg rolls. The egg roll wrapper was quite sweet and the filling was fairly meaty. An ok egg roll. The banh mi was also ok, as the pork pieces were mostly fat. This was just pretty much to tide my hunger. When I met up with my friend, she asked me where I got my food and noted it was a Banh Mi Che Cali. At least it was relatively cheap, right?

Chicken Phở for $ 3? Bahn Mi sandwiches for $ 2? Sign me up. I’m a fan. If you’re expecting great service or fine dining experience, you’ll be disappointed. I’ve been to a few of their other locations and I’ve had the best experience here. Not only is the service good, this location even has a drive-thru AND they take credit cards.(no minimum $ reqd.) If you’re in a rush and/or want soup/phở, I suggest you go inside and order. They take a while to make your sandwiches and you can’t get soup at the drive-thru window. Unlike other reviewers who complained about poor service, I’ve never had an issue with the level of service provided or the quality of the food. One has to take into account the cultural sensitivities and the fact that you’re getting good decent food at cheap prices. If you’re looking for cheap delicious Vietnamese food, Phở it. =)

Looking for an affordable healthy meal? Come on over! I’m such a sucker for avocado! When I saw that their salad(you can choose either beef, chicken or tofu for your protein) included a huge chunk of avocado, I didn’t have to think twice. I got the beef and it was amaze balls! I love that they cook the meat right when you order it. For $ 5.50 it was totally worth it! Serving is huge and very filling! They have a few choices for their spring rolls. I got the one with the shrimp and sausage in it. They are pre packaged and displayed in front of the counter. They were surprisingly fresh and delicious with a generous serving of peanut sauce on the side. Plus! Buy 1 get 1 free milk tea! Thai tea for me, of course, and no boba please. This is definitely my new go to lunch place!

BMC Phở, Banh Mi Che Cali… this place serves up super cheap Vietnamese food. The prices are so low I really couldn’t believe it. You can feed a group of people for a decent amount of money. Ordered: — Chicken Phở. $ 2.98 — Banh mi dac biet. $ 3 each.(B2G1) This sandwich is on a french roll. The bread was chewy and not very crispy. I wasn’t a fan of the bread. The meat was decent. There was a small amount of pâté and wasn’t spread well. I like it from other sandwich shops in the SGV better. — Sesame ball. $ 0.50 each Pretty tasty and is only $ 0.50! Worth a try. — Thai tea w/boba. $ 2.75 each.(BOGO) This is a good deal because each drink comes out to be $ 1.38… the Thai tea tastes good! The boba is a little hard on the inside but softer on the outside. I guess a little weird, maybe I’ll pass on the boba if i ever come back. — Beef stew. $ 3.25 — Chicken curry. $ 3.25 I tasted this and i liked it. It’s a yellow curry. Served with a small french roll. Overall, this was an okay experience. I’d give the food 3 stars, considering the price too… the service isn’t that great. but heyyy cheap food!

Come on you people who rate this place a 4 – 5 stars. I’ve rated the chicken noodle soup a 3 star and I have ordered a few other plates some are a 2 – 3 rating and no further. Please don’t over rate it’s very misleading. People will go with high expectations and will mostly be disappointed. Many of the plates are oily and don’t appeal to the eye. The chicken curry soup is tasty.

Not a bad Phở place especially for Covina where it’s slim pickin’ for Vietnamese restaurants in general. The prices here are reasonable but they are currently running a grand opening special. Phở Ga for 50% off the $ 5.95. So basically you buy one get one free deal. And as an added bonus, a Banh Mi & Che Cali just opened within the restaurant. Not sure if it’s partnership or if Banh Mi Che(BMC?) is experimenting with a full Phở restaurant concept. Like other Banh Mi & Che Cali, you can get your buy 2 get 1 free Banh Mi and also Che, but they only had a limited number of sandwiches and Che. I can’t wait for the expansion of the Banh Mi and Che selections seeing as how I will be in the area more often.

Uh-oh… stomach cramps, both my wife and I. Maybe minor case of food poisoning. Will ask my son later how he feels because we all had the same thing: Thit Nuong bbq pork banh mi; pâté chaud; egg roll; I was the only one who had the café sua da…
