This place wasn’t bad, stopped in on my drive to LA. The phở is decent, the place is authentic. The service was a little slow but aside from that it’s now bad!

I’ve been to a few places around this area and this one is good. phở and thai tea is the best combination specially on this cold days or after a hike! Will come back

Hands down the worst phở I ever had in my life. The broth taste just like hot water!

This place is HORRIBLE. The service was HORRIBLE. I asked for a different tea. The green tea with grapefruit was HORRIBLE. And she didn’t want to exchange it for me. She walked away and gave huge attitude. I told her I would just leave. And she made a rude comment. The food was not good either. The meat was full if fat.

I ordered the #89 combination plate. I only had one quarrel with the place and it was that it took a decent bit of time to get the food. Turns out everything on my plate was extremely fresh. So I was over the wait time. Overall I would say the food was really tasty and filling also the service was great and pleasant.

I absolutely LOVE the #43 phở soup with grilled beef. I’ve been getting take out here for years and will continue to do so. Yum, Yum.

So they changed their menu in the last couple months. The good news is they now have to go menus. The bad news is that I ordered the wrong thing. No biggie. My favorite #47 is now #48. The only difference is that I accidentally ordered fresh noodles and it came with all the same meat plus fish balls and squid. Not really a fan of fish balls and I love suit but not in my soup, so I just didn’t add them(I ordered it to go.) Still really good broth, pork, shrimp, crab and veggies. You really can’t beat the price and it’s the best phở spot around here.

I tried this place out once because it’s kind of close to my boyfriend’s place, but that time will for sure be the last time. This is probably the WORST phở I’ve ever had. It tastes like the broth is bland and watered down… It’s not expensive(like most phở places) but it was a waste of money. Would rather have spent that money at the phở place in the back left of the Hong Kong Plaza just a few streets away, that place it 1000 times better!

I really wanted to like this place. Gave it 2 chances. I give up. Food was horrible. Service was mediocre. I guess I have to travel to West Covina or Glendora to find Vietnamese food.

4 stars because I can see what people are complaining about, but I don’t know why that makes any difference. This is a place to come and eat great food for the price. It is arguably the best phở in Covina. What do people expect? Relax. Enjoy the decent food and great prices while these places are still around. Yes, it has some family-owned flaws. 1) Denny’s has more ambience. 2) The service can be frustratingly slow when they get too busy. 3) Sometimes my table is mostly clean. Who cares? The dishes are clean. The menu is full of cheap, grubbin food on every page. You see a lot of working moms and dads bring in their kids on the way home for the night. They know what’s up. They could easily spend $ 10 /person at McDonalds and have a vastly inferior meal. Vast I say. Also, Leanna is great. She remembers our favorites even when we change what we order from time to time. She’s not the owner, but she runs the day-to-day, so be sure to tip fat.

Love their beef stew with bread. Very delicious especially on cold days. The service is friendly and fast. Family run business so we need to support small businesses. It will not disappoint

The food was super yummy & fresh. I ordered phở #18& an order of egg rolls. soooo good! I will definitely be back for more. The place is not fancy as it needs some TLC.

Bad! Fans of Phở stay away from this place. The broth is tasteless and the quality of meat is bad. The service is really awful. It took like 20 minutes to get a small bowl of phở and my shitty appetizer came 10 minutes later. They water down the Sriracha so its not even hot and barely resembles the actual taste. The peanut sauce that came with my tasteless spring rolls(that took 30 minutes to get to my table) was also watered down and almost clear. I will never step so much as a toe up in that place again.

This seems like a new restaurant in this neck of the woods, or otherwise, I haven’t been very observant. So I had #92 com tam suong bi & I added extra cha goi. The egg roll was not impressive but I liked the pork chop. It was flavorful while not overly salty. The broken rice was too soft for my taste. I like my rice not to clump together, you know. The hostess sat me directly underneath 1 of the 2 flat screen TVs in the joint and the Kings was playing. It came to be the final game of the series so I was glad I got to see them kick ass.

The décor inside needs some remodeling, but the food is good enough for phở in the area. It is obviously a family run restaurant since there seems to be just a few workers there. I ordered the bun bo hue. It was lacking a bit of spice in my opinion, but after adding my own chilli sauce to the broth it was much better. They have filet mignon phở which my dad always orders. The price is really cheap, the food has a home-cooked feel to it, and it’s close to where I live. That is the reason why my family will continue coming here.

This is the only phở restaurant that I’ve liked. Though service can be horrible during rush hour(12−1pm), the food is great and the prices are reasonable. I definitely recommend the combo that comes with all the meats(#18). Their honey dew smoothie is amazing! And so are the egg rolls!

Local Covina HITW phở place that has been here in one form or another for a while now. I was finally curious enough to give it a try, but I think I should have trusted my instincts and fellow Unilocalers… First, I’m going to list as many positives attributes as I can: — There is no wait to get in or be seated; — The lady with the braces is indeed very polite and attentive; — Parking in front is probably not an issue; — They have free wifi, the password is posted; — Their bean sprouts and cucumbers were fresh; That’s about it. My Phở Tai Gan had clumpy noodles and the broth didn’t really tasty beefy or bright with lemongrass flavor; it was a little clouded, murky and opaque. The rare beef was meager and a little curled up around the edges; the tendon pieces were a little better but not by much. The Cha Gio used the smooth egg roll like wrappers which by itself is ok, but the filling was dense and didn’t have any veggies; they were heavy and seemed to soak a lot of the frying oil… I know I’ve been spoiled by the likes of Golden Deli’s family of restaurants, but this wasn’t even in the same league. My quest for a decent phở place local to me continues…

I like it a lot. Small, cozy, nice service from the girl with braces, just all around good environment. No complaints. Oh they have wifi! You weren’t expecting that curve ball were you!
