We ordered from here via Menu Express last weekend. My husband had the lamb shish kabob plate and contracted food poisoning. Luckily, I wasn’t very hungry and only ordered a side salad(which was actually very good) and the baba ghanoush(which was too spicy for me to eat). We were also lucky that our toddler did not want to share his dad’s food. It’s unfortunate because we were looking for a good local Greek restaurant but, since my husband experienced a weekend of vomiting after trying their food, we will never order from here again.

Best hummus around, best gyro around in my opinion. This place is a dive, but the food is great.

Baba Ganoush, Baba Ganoush, Baba Ganoush. That’s just fun to say. Try it. Go ahead and try it. See? I told you… fun, right? This small little restaurant in downtown Covington is pretty good! I found it while looking for a new lunch place(thanks, Unilocal) and I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised. It’s small inside but everything else is big. Big portions, big on flavor and the oh so friendly owner is hugely enthusiastic about his food and restaurant. I got the chicken schwarma plate with hummus and a Greek salad. Also the hummus with pita app.(What?! I love hummus, ok?) It was all very good. Not the best I’ve ever had but certainly very good. If you’re in downtown Covington and want Greek food you should give Baba Ganoush a try.

Very disappointing. Owner seems nice, but the food is incredibly mediocre and the restaurant is DIRTY. Layers and layers of dirt, which can only make you nervous about the state of the kitchen. Gyro meat was not good and the tzatiki sauce tasted like it was made from mayonnaise, instead of yogurt — must have been pre-fab from a can — like the hummus. Hummus portion was VERY small — nothing like a real Lebanese or Greek restaurant. Won’t go again.

Don’t let the location fool you… the food here is amazing! We had the gyro plate and the meat was browned and tender, the pita bread was fresh from the grill, the humus and tzatziki were cool and flavorful, the salad was crisp and loaded with olives and feta and the rice seasoned with pine nuts. Some of the best Greek food I have ever had.

Excellent food. I love the baba ganoush here. Have not had a bad meal yet, and I have been here for dine in and take out over 10 times! Highly recommended!

Cool little joint(looks like a residence) in downtown Covington. The menu is simple and the food is fresh, made to order. Gyro & meat pie was ONTIME! Bonus is they have the old-time coke with real sugar. Do it baby!

Smells really good in here. Lamb kabob for me. Will be back for their daily lunch special heard they are really good and sell out fast.

Not the most glamorous place, but it makes up for it in what it serves. Great chicken shawarma plate. The Tzatziki is some of the best i’ve ever had.

Okay. Here it is, the Thursday after Isaac, and I have no power. I had seen that Baba Ganoush was open and went back there to have luch. I had passed this place many times and meant to try it. I got a yummy shrimp wrap sandwich, very nice and unexpected, and some good iced tea. There was one guy working in there at the time and he was very sweet. It was such a nice break. Also, I think it was magic. After lunch, I spent a couple of hours at a coffeehouse and, when I got home, my power was back on!
